“When I went here the other day with my friend I wanted to order something for myself that had no spice in it as I have Crohn’s disease which means that I’m not able to consume spice at all. I accidentally ended up ordering a wrap that had what I believe was “southwest sauce” which was absolutely delicious but unfortunately spicy so I wasn’t able to eat it. I wasn’t going to worry about it and was just going to take it home and enjoy my time with my friend but one of the very kind workers came up to us to ask how everything was and noticed that I wasn’t eating my wrap. As I had previously mentioned that I was unable to eat spice, he figured that was the reason why I wasn’t eating it and kindly offered to make me a vegetable wrap with aioli sauce completely free of charge so that I could have something to eat with my friend instead of sitting down with her and eating nothing. It was such a kind gesture and definitely wasn’t expected but it was greatly appreciated.Dietary restrictions: One of my dietary restrictions includes not being able to eat spice due to Crohn’s disease and they have a variety of no-spicy, delicious food!“
“A great place for people who can't have dairy! The guy there was friendly and knowledgeable. My partner was excited to have cinnamon buns again since he can't have cow dairy. It is pricey, but glad to know that the option is there, for those with dairy/gluten allergies. I also find them too sweet, so definitely will need a tea or something to go with it. Glad we went with one of their best sellers, the original.“
“I usually don’t order Uber eats but got home late and our house is under Reno’s. Uber eats dropped the ball with delivery and 1 hour later nothing. “Studio 89 has always been a place of comfort for me. I do miss the old location but the energy and passion has only amplified at this location. This place continues to inspire and remind me of the importance of kindness, humanity and consistent strive for community change. On my most recent visit, I attended a coffee watercolour paint day, where the café repurposed used coffee grinds. This innovative practice caught my attention, as well as placing it near international dog day (also my dogs birthday) allowed me to bring my dog and my parents to participate in accessible outdoor fun for all of us and creating some art to celebrate a fun day. This was just one example of the many ways 89 continues to inspire me and the community at large.“

“Although there's very limited vegan-friendly places in Mississauga, myself and many vegan activists love this place. However, I strongly urge the staff to ditch wearing fur coats. We approached them with kindness and asked them if they are willing to put up no fur small poster at their door (nothing graphic and it's a compassionate stance) without hurting customers who wears fur. It really makes myself and others so uncomfortable. Vegan establishments is literally the only place we feel safe and have socials after a long day. Many vegan restaurants/cafes in Toronto are even doing their part in fur activism by putting up fur posters that kindly ask customers to not wear them, and they are still welcomed to the establishment. Please ask the staff to not wear fur in ANY vegan establishments. It's disrespectful.“
“I’m not vegan but a family member has severe dietary restrictions. The food is delicious! We went for brunch. We had gluten free pancakes with berries and the Alfredo sausage pasta. “Well we were looking for a good brunch and we had this place bookmarked . We totally forgot it was vegan. We are meat eaters but this place still satisfied our food cravings. We had the truffle fries , butter tofu and pancakes. Very delicious I cannot say which I liked best. Very hospitable and also very nice decor ! I've been to some vegan places before in Toronto where things just tasted strange, but not this place ! I'd come back again !“
