“We tried Toast on Bloor and our breakfast was amazing. I had the breakfast buritto and it was large with beans eggs bacon rice and aocado. NIcely done and my husbands Toast 3 egg breakfast was excellent. The only concern is the noise level. It needs more wall covering to cut down on the noise level. This would be a concern for anyone wht a hearing issue.“

“Have been here more than once and the quality of the food, the service and the flexibility of the staff was absolutely outstanding, with special mention going out to Joy, who is just great! Highly recommended! We stayed overnight and came in quite late for dinner, but that didn't matter at all - friendly, warm, and quick service.

“neighbourhood gem! very family-friendly atmosphere with a thoughtful team. the menu is refreshingly concise and i loved how calm and composed the kitchen feels. the space is casual and clearly considered (unfussy but you can tell there’s care behind what they’re putting out).

we ordered the fish and veg, cheeseburger, caesar salad and two desserts.

the corn salad was exquisite and the trout was nicely done, though the skin was a touch underwhelming — not sure what happened there, maybe it was left a little too long before being served, as the skin had lost its crispness by the time it reached the table. the squeeze of lemon was definitely welcome, though; that little touch of acidity really helped.

the cheeseburger was simple but done right as was the caesar salad. can’t ask for anything more, really.

the desserts were probably the only miss for me. the mango soft serve didn’t quite hit the spot, while the raspberry compote hit the back of the palate strikingly too acidic. same with the strawberry coulis on the no-bake cheesecake. the actual cheesecake was good, but nothing grand.

service was wonderful. everyone was attentive without hovering, and lindsey was genuinely the sweetest server ever. it also seemed like the rest of the team had a great handle on their tables. everyone seemed happy, even while stranded in the middle of a thunderstorm!

overall, still five stars despite the desserts not quite hitting the mark. i’d love to see a really good drip coffee on the menu, too — would’ve been a nice way to end the meal.

I gave the atmosphere a three due to the fact of how loud the restaurant was I felt like I heard most off the conversation around me. There was a lot of laughter which made it difficult at time to hear the person next to you. One thing I admire was the owner who greeted us on arrival and came around to check in. He treated us to a free dessert as we were celebrating our anniversary. Kudos to our server—I'm sorry I didn't get your name, but she was the beautiful server with a British accent. Our main server Victoria was so amazing and attentive! Highly recommend her.
