“We had such a great experience at this izakaya. The food was absolutely delicious everything felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The beef tartare was especially memorable: light, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The karaage was another standout—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right.

Service struck that perfect balance—not overbearing, but still attentive and timely, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.

The only small downside was that it was a bit on the darker side, making it a little hard to see at times.

“Last night was our first time visiting this restaurant. When we arrived, there wasn’t anyone at the front, so we seated ourselves in one section of the restaurant. Later we realized that area was almost closed because it was getting late, and we were completely okay with moving if needed.

Drew came over with such a kind and welcoming attitude and told us we could stay there. From the beginning, she was incredibly warm, professional, and friendly, and she really made us feel comfortable.

I ordered the poutine, and while it personally wasn’t really my favorite, it honestly didn’t take away from the experience at all. I truly believe people don’t return to a restaurant only because of the food. The atmosphere, the service, and the way you are treated matter just as much. Even if one part is missing, a great server can still make people want to come back.

As someone who works as a server myself, I can honestly say Drew was amazing at her job. Her professionalism and positive attitude genuinely made us leave with such a good feeling and definitely made me want to come back again. Thank you, Drew!“

“The Salty Dawg has become my new favourite spot! The service is friendly and quick! Friendly people and great vibes. The pizza’s are a must try with quite a few pizzas to pick from.

She provided us with some excellent suggestions for food and drinks as well as impeccable service coming from a warm and friendly person. While my wife was thoroughly enjoying a cup of tea and a hearty soup with salad and a sandwich, I was just beside myself with every bite of the mushroom melt burger. The burger and fries were prepared and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend that you try this burger, especially if you love mushrooms. Treat yourself. I was also introduced to a delicious refreshing beer called Muskoka Pineapple Ninja. I've never seen it before and it appears that if I can't find anywhere else I'll have to go back. “Went there with friends, the location is great from access and parking point of view, but the best part started when we arrived in the cafe, greeted with a genuine smile and the hostess (Ms. G) showed our table, explained us the process there and several games, very kindly and patiently, then she helped us to set up our game, we ordered some hot drinks and all were perfect. One thing happened that night and there was a fire alarm from a neighbouring restaurant, our hostess helped us to navigate through that moment and understand the situation. This was probably the best Italian food we have had in the area…. A lot to say bordering Woodbridge.

The food was absolutely delicious and the dessert even better. Would have liked a bread basket to start but all in all very good authentic food“
