“We had such a great experience at this izakaya. The food was absolutely delicious everything felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The beef tartare was especially memorable: light, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The karaage was another standout—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right.

Service struck that perfect balance—not overbearing, but still attentive and timely, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.

The only small downside was that it was a bit on the darker side, making it a little hard to see at times.

Overall, a fantastic spot and we’ll definitely be back!“

“Really awesome place, I wish there was more places like this. It feels like the owners/staff really care about the service and atmosphere. Solid collection of games, and I love the community style programs they have throughout the week. Highly recommend. The food and drinks I've had are decent. Nothing special, but certainly nothing bad. The coffee, the fries, and the milkshake were also solid. I definitely will continue to get them when I go.“

Who doesn't like sweet peach slushy with alcohol? Pretty good. Would recommend if you haven't tried.
Ample parking, just getting in and out might be a bit challenging.

“The Salty Dawg has become my new favourite spot! The service is friendly and quick! Friendly people and great vibes. The pizza’s are a must try with quite a few pizzas to pick from.
EDIT: the pizza is so good it doesn’t need anything extra, no dip no sauce…just delicious“

She provided us with some excellent suggestions for food and drinks as well as impeccable service coming from a warm and friendly person. While my wife was thoroughly enjoying a cup of tea and a hearty soup with salad and a sandwich, I was just beside myself with every bite of the mushroom melt burger. I was also introduced to a delicious refreshing beer called Muskoka Pineapple Ninja. I've never seen it before and it appears that if I can't find anywhere else I'll have to go back. “March 6th update. Sadly I have to move down to 4 stars. Service as always incredible. Entire staff work very well together and make the experience memorable. $62 for a Sea Bass with an almond sauce and parsley is getting a bit much. No sides or substance. Had to order a risotto to compliment both fish dishes. I know quality is good but but price does not reflect portion size.

“We came in a group of 9. Two ladies came and started taking drink orders and it was very confusing as to being asked the same thing twice. They brought our drinks but forgot one of the kids drinks. 25 minutes passed and still nothing - the girls disappeared. We then met Shimeko Cooper and he saved the day. Saved the experience.
