Our professional and friendly server, Betty, stopped by the table within a couple of minutes and took our order. In the past, we have had horrible wait times at the Swiss Chalet on Weber Street (40 minutes or more) so we decided to give Swiss Chalet on Fairway Road a try. Boy, we were amazed and pleasantly surprised. We received our food within ten minutes. It was delicious! The chicken was tender and the market vegetables were cooked perfectly. Betty, our server, made the experience at Swiss Chalet all the better by the attentive and professional service that she provided. We will be back to Swiss Chalet, Fairway Road, Kitchener. “These guys are the best. My truck quit at the drive thru speaker after ordering had to call a towtruck and I was worried about my 2 little girls in the back. They served us well and came out to help customers pulling in behind me. I fed my children while waiting for the towtruck it was there in ten minutes to my surprise. These situations can turn out to be horrendous but the whole staff ended up making this a pleasurable experience then I got towed back to Guelph. Nice driver and my little girls were happy playing passing the time in the back seat. Visit this location. You’ll get amazing service!”

“Had a really commendable experience at this Mcdonalds. I had an air inflation situation where it was out of pocket a fair bit of change with no reimbursement. I wanted to grab an ice coffee with the spare change that was eaten up without an out of order sign to prevent the next upset person. As I await for CAA services, Angie was kind enough to ease some of burden of waiting by providing an ice coffee on the house as I having a bad day that turned around with an admirable effort. Thanks Angie, I'll never forget your efforts and compassion towards this experience, means so much.”

Unfortunately I dove face first into my pizza before remembering to take a photo. The homemade Caesar dressing is also something quite special. The service: Staff was so attentive and on their game. They had us full of drinks, appetizers, mains, and dessert (in a lot of cases) in under two hours. We have some older members, some who work midnights and such, and the timing really meant a lot to them. We have had exceptional service in the past but the organization of this small kitchen and the serving staff is impressive! Everyone under that roof tonight showed so much pride in what they were doing. We will be talking about this stop for quite some time. Thank you for having us!”

I am not a gluten- free expert, as I am only starting to treat my ailments through experimentation, but let me tell you this - I am very happy with the product from Winnie’s! I went in and was promptly greeted, and the young lady that helped me was so pleasant and patient while I asked a million questions. I purchased a standard gluten/dairy free loaf of white bread. When I got home, I cut myself a generous slice, popped it in the toaster and buttered it. I had very low expectations to be honest, but what do you know… IT WAS FANTASTIC! I would go as far to say that’s it’s better than grocery store (gluten filled) bread. I can finally have a toasted tomato sandwich again 🤗 Will definitely be back!”

I ended up staying for a few hours to get some work done on my laptop, and the staff could not have been more gracious. They never made me feel rushed, and even checked in periodically to offer tea or a refill. “I had one of the best evenings of my life here, definitely the best I’ve ever had in North America. From the very beginning, the service was outstanding: the waitress took great care of me, always asking how I liked the beer and helping me choose the next one. She really paid attention to my wishes.
As the evening went on, I started chatting with the locals, and as a German visiting Canada, I felt incredibly welcome. The conversations were fun, warm, and genuine. Toward the end of the night, even the owner came out to join us, and we had a fantastic talk about life, the differences between Germany and Canada, and so much more.
It wasn’t just about drinks, it was about the atmosphere, the people, and the feeling of being part of something special. This place made me feel at home on the other side of the world.

“This is one of the best breweries in Kitchener/Waterloo and Cambridge. Personally, it's one of the few breweries in Canada that come across entirely personable and incredibly welcoming to everyone. The owner is extremely helpful, enthusiast, and well-knowledgeable about all areas of their business. The available beers will rotate, so often you can try a variety of different delicious beers throughout the year but still pick up their staples which are absolutely fantastic (make sure to do yourself a favour and grab some Lando!) The prices are fair, the areas are clean/well managed, and I have never encountered an issue with the mulitple times I have attended this establishment whether if it was for concerts, going with friends or just stopping in for a beer after work. It is one of the few places I know that not only an adult can enjoy, but kids are welcome with their parents and even dogs, too! I wish there were more places like Short Finger Brewing Co. in Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge, but I am extremely happy we have this place as not only do they support the Region of Waterloo at every opportunity but host a number of events for Arts community and more. I know if I stop in, it'll never be for a quick visit because it feels like a home away from home. And honestly, I love that.”

The DJ was good. Just something to keep in mind—some tables are close to the speakers, so it can get loud if you’re trying to talk. Not over the top, but something to consider if it bothers you.

“The Sesame Walnut Shrimp at the Cameron Chinese Restaurant at Cameron and Charles streets is the best and has been the best for over 25 years! And the al dente broccoli that comes with it is so good, even George H. W. Bush would love it!
The shrimp were perfect, large and juicy! At the time I ordered, the server said, “Oh! There are twelve shrimp!” Of course, having heard that and seeing the size of them, I just had to count! I got 13… counted twice! Nice!
Oh, what I wouldn’t give to find out how they make the sesame walnut paste that coats the shrimp and is over the top yummy!
I did takeout and asked how long it would take, did I have time to walk Storm, my husky-mix? Five to ten minutes! Great!
I set my timer for five and we were back in four minutes! The smiling server came jogging out with my Sesame Walnut Shrimp nicely packaged up… piping hot! He even had time to pat Storm before my timer went off! Service par excellence!
PS. The Cameron is right on the bus/light rail route… which is really handy, but makes doing a left turn into the parking lot a challenge. If you come at it on Cameron St, turn left off Cameron, just before Charles St, and squeeze through the narrow, one way entrance into the parking lot.”

Update: I’ve visited way too many times to count since this review and wanted to share that the quality has remained consistent, friendly staff, quick service, and the ambiance of the cafe is so charming and cozy. They also host a variety of unique events like gilmore girl nights and craft events which I think is amazing! It’s a really nice spot to people watch, read, or draw.
My new favourite menu item (which I’ve had 4 times), is their blueberry earl grey matcha. I hope they make it a permanent menu item it’s SO GOOD. Even if you’re not a blueberry fan it just tastes so fresh and delightful and perfect you need to try it. I have also had their cherry blossom donut, raspberry scone, orange sherbet drink (I can’t remember the exact name), cereal milk latte and they’ve all been great.”

First of all the scone...i got a cheddar and chive scone and it was unbelievable! Soft, flakey and full of flavour. Hands down best ive had in town...better than the Sconery!
I then got the bacon buddy breakfast sandwich. I gotta say the price put me off..$17 for a breakfast sandwich is alot....but it was worth it! The bread is a fresh made croissant like bun. The egg was perfectly cooked. The bacon was thick and not to salty. The whole thing just melted in the mouth. It's the second best breakfast sandwich I've ever had and well worth the money.
Then it came with home fries which I did not realize when I ordered. Again surprised by the quality. I don't love home fries but these were well cut, fried crispy outside and fluffy inside. I finished them all.

“Finally went for the first time tonight. It's take out, so no 'atmosphere' to speak of, aside from the staff was super friendly. I got the shredded chicken sandwich. There is a bit of a language barrier as I didn't know what the topping options were. She did ask me if I wanted spicy, which I said no. She added the veggie mix, carrots and something with a mild pickling, cucumber a leafy green and a mild sauce, she heated it up and I also got an order of the spring rolls.
The sub was really good. The bun had a crispy/flaky crust and was soft inside. The filling had a really nice flavor. The spring rolls were so crispy and tasted fantastic. Great value with $6.50 for any of the subs and the spring rolls were $5.00 for 5. I will definitely go back.”

It has one of the best coffees and sometimes the line up and get overwhelming and their almost no place for tables and it’s small cafe it’s always full. I had their cappuccino and it’s really nice and they have different varieties of filled donuts which are delicious and scones. I would definitely suggest visiting early as most of the things will be sold out my late afternoon.”
