“We had wonderful service and food at the Swiss Chalet on Fairway Road in Kitchener! We were seated almost immediately. Our professional and friendly server, Betty, stopped by the table within a couple of minutes and took our order. In the past, we have had horrible wait times at the Swiss Chalet on Weber Street (40 minutes or more) so we decided to give Swiss Chalet on Fairway Road a try. Boy, we were amazed and pleasantly surprised. We received our food within ten minutes. It was delicious! The chicken was tender and the market vegetables were cooked perfectly. Betty, our server, made the experience at Swiss Chalet all the better by the attentive and professional service that she provided. We will be back to Swiss Chalet, Fairway Road, Kitchener. “Had a really commendable experience at this Mcdonalds. I had an air inflation situation where it was out of pocket a fair bit of change with no reimbursement. I wanted to grab an ice coffee with the spare change that was eaten up without an out of order sign to prevent the next upset person. As I await for CAA services, Angie was kind enough to ease some of burden of waiting by providing an ice coffee on the house as I having a bad day that turned around with an admirable effort. Thanks Angie, I'll never forget your efforts and compassion towards this experience, means so much.”

“The Tri City Food Ninjas stopped in to Rustico tonight. We were a group of 46. Where do I start? The food: The food is incredible. ESPECIALLY the Arancini. Unfortunately I dove face first into my pizza before remembering to take a photo. The homemade Caesar dressing is also something quite special. The service: Staff was so attentive and on their game. They had us full of drinks, appetizers, mains, and dessert (in a lot of cases) in under two hours. We have some older members, some who work midnights and such, and the timing really meant a lot to them. We have had exceptional service in the past but the organization of this small kitchen and the serving staff is impressive! Everyone under that roof tonight showed so much pride in what they were doing. We will be talking about this stop for quite some time. Thank you for having us!”

I am not a gluten- free expert, as I am only starting to treat my ailments through experimentation, but let me tell you this - I am very happy with the product from Winnie’s! I went in and was promptly greeted, and the young lady that helped me was so pleasant and patient while I asked a million questions. I purchased a standard gluten/dairy free loaf of white bread. When I got home, I cut myself a generous slice, popped it in the toaster and buttered it. I had very low expectations to be honest, but what do you know… IT WAS FANTASTIC! I would go as far to say that’s it’s better than grocery store (gluten filled) bread. I can finally have a toasted tomato sandwich again 🤗 Will definitely be back!”

I made a special request that was quite unusual to celebrate years of service for a coworker. Having her spell the number on the pizza in pepperoni. She happily took my request and took so much care in making sure I was happy with it. Although I didn’t try one, the cannoli looked absolutely amazing and was calling my name from the display case. Update: I’ve visited way too many times to count since this review and wanted to share that the quality has remained consistent, friendly staff, quick service, and the ambiance of the cafe is so charming and cozy. They also host a variety of unique events like gilmore girl nights and craft events which I think is amazing! It’s a really nice spot to people watch, read, or draw.

My new favourite menu item (which I’ve had 4 times), is their blueberry earl grey matcha. I hope they make it a permanent menu item it’s SO GOOD. Even if you’re not a blueberry fan it just tastes so fresh and delightful and perfect you need to try it. I have also had their cherry blossom donut, raspberry scone, orange sherbet drink (I can’t remember the exact name), cereal milk latte and they’ve all been great.”

First of all the scone...i got a cheddar and chive scone and it was unbelievable! Soft, flakey and full of flavour. Hands down best ive had in town...better than the Sconery!
I then got the bacon buddy breakfast sandwich. I gotta say the price put me off..$17 for a breakfast sandwich is alot....but it was worth it! The bread is a fresh made croissant like bun. The egg was perfectly cooked. The bacon was thick and not to salty. The whole thing just melted in the mouth. It's the second best breakfast sandwich I've ever had and well worth the money.
Then it came with home fries which I did not realize when I ordered. Again surprised by the quality. I don't love home fries but these were well cut, fried crispy outside and fluffy inside. I finished them all.

There is a bit of a language barrier as I didn't know what the topping options were. She did ask me if I wanted spicy, which I said no. She added the veggie mix, carrots and something with a mild pickling, cucumber a leafy green and a mild sauce, she heated it up and I also got an order of the spring rolls.
The sub was really good. The bun had a crispy/flaky crust and was soft inside. The filling had a really nice flavor. The spring rolls were so crispy and tasted fantastic. Great value with $6.50 for any of the subs and the spring rolls were $5.00 for 5. I will definitely go back.”

“I don’t know where to start with this one. It has to be one of the best cafe in town tucked away in some streets of downtown Kitchener. It has one of the best coffees and sometimes the line up and get overwhelming and their almost no place for tables and it’s small cafe it’s always full. I had their cappuccino and it’s really nice and they have different varieties of filled donuts which are delicious and scones. I would definitely suggest visiting early as most of the things will be sold out my late afternoon.”

“I was ordering on the phone. I just decided to go there and order in person. And that was so much better. Fresh. In 5 minutes i had my order. Something about their food just stays with you for hours after. It really wholesome food!!!”
