“Cafe Pyrus didn’t blow my mind, but they had a lot of good basic vegan options. It seemed that everything on the menu was vegan except that they offered dairy cheese. I would definitely grab lunch there again if I was in the area. Updated from previous review on 2026-05-20“

“I’ve had dinner at Arabesque Family Restaurant multiple times, and the experience has been consistently excellent. The food is always fresh, authentic, and full of flavour, with generous portions that offer great value.
The shawarma, grilled meats, hummus, and freshly baked pita are outstanding, and everything tastes like it’s made with care using quality ingredients. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home.
Consistency is what keeps me coming back. Every visit has been just as good as the last, which is something I really appreciate. If you’re looking for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, I highly recommend Arabesque Family Restaurant. It’s one of my favourite places for dinner.“

“It was a very funny experience. I’ll start with Steve, out server: he understood my order even if it was out of the menu and I was inventing it in the moment. Food was great and the price is fair.
Atmosphere is typical of a diner. We really enjoyed a lot our time.

“This is fine dining at it's best. The food was amazing and all fresh and cooked to your requests. My husband and I with another couple had the most enjoyable time there this past Friday night..Service was excellent and we also got to enjoy live entertainment by Mary Catherine Pazzano singing and piano playing. while we dined.. I felt like dancing in the restaurant.. Food is not cheap but if you want to go for an exquisite meal this is the place to go. I plan to go back soon.“

“Really tasty pizza! Owner really cared about timing the pizza perfectly with my medical appointment so I got a fresh pizza.
Not too saucy, fresh and quality ingredients, and one of the best crusts I've ever had. Its so crispy and tasty, I would legit order just a cooked dough and I bet it would be really good.“

“Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Staff are volunteers so sometimes they are quite new and learning so it’s a bit slow, but they are always nice and try their best. Lots of tables whether you want to sit by the window, watch the tv or neither.“

“Sunrise pho is a place i’ve been to a few times. It never does disappoint and their prices are fair for the amount of food that’s given. I wish there were more toppings I could put with Pho. The customer service is always polite, but sometimes I feel as if they’re on edge as i’m another race. The place is very relaxing and I love the seating.“

“10/10 experience! I love iced coffee & THIS is easily top 5 iced coffees I’ve ever had. Ever.
Coffee is so smooth you can drink it black and its still not acidic! Plus the coffee iced cubes are a great touch!👌
The vibes are SOOO warm, cute and cozy. 10/10 recommend.“

Canada you really have a gem! You have many pho places in the area. The two places I have been to were excellent! Depending on where you live, lots of pho options.
FYI, not closed early on Sunday.

“It's costco, no complaints other then they could use some more seating. Also not a fan of the switch from Pepsi to Coke products. Nice place to stop if you want some super cheap but also surprisingly satisfying food especially after breaking the bank and stuffing your cart on your costco run 😅.“

“I truly love this place. The food is so good, you can tellll it's authenticity just by the first bite & this is what I come here for. The portions are large! The spice, the flavours, the freshness is there. They are always fast with the food & taking orders & the service is kind always.
& I love that they always serve you tea free of charge!

“Its a hole in the wall place, but what a delightful one. Yes, I will always try to call ahead. They are incredibly good, tasty value and lovely people. I'll be very sad if they ever close, an institution with me and my family.“
