“BEST BURGER AWARD! We have come here a few times now this summer and every time we are BLOWN AWAY by the burgers. The size, flavour and juiciness of them--so delicious! We love making burgers at home and I swear my husband moonlights as a Chef but we both can't stop commenting on how amazing Fry2Go makes their burgers.We love bringing our toddlers here too, they can run around on the grassy area and sit at the picnic benches to eat. The staff is friendly and their fries are also so good.Highly recommend!!“

“Delicious, fresh and hot breakfast. I very rarely eat my home fries, but these were fresh griddled potatoes with onions (onions optional) and I ate every last one of them. Bacon was crispy, cheese on my eggs was real cheddar. They butter the toast (!!). My server was attentive and very nice. Food came out fast. The restaurant was clean and spacious, I was very comfortable eating there and plan to go back. I’m curious to try their lunch, it looked good. Prices are more than fair. So glad I went!“

“Just had a cheeseburger from the Butchery and again it was amazing. If you love a good burger this is the place to go and I’ve had many from everywhere. I can tell you this is the best I’ve ever had. And Kim the young lady taking care of you is behind the cash and preparing the food is how customer service should be. I’ve been going for about 3yrs now and she can put a smile on your face with her personality. Great job Kim. Mark the owner is easily approachable to chat with and is more that happy to talk. When I want a home cooked meal but don't want to cook this is my go too it's a dark meat chicken tandoori plate that comes perfectly seasoned! The rice is cooked and seasoned to perfection everytime , nan comes beautifully seasoned and freshly made. The chicken is perfectly cooked and seasoned with the tandoori goodness. They are one of few spots that actually have great poutine in Ottawa that gets me going back every so often.Fries are always crispy and often even ones that have been covered in gravy. The curds are high quality and don’t melt immediately.As others have noted, they don’t heavily salt their poutine fries or gravy, which I actually prefer over extremely salty gravy. The gravy is nice and thick with a rich gooey consistency that prevents fries from immediately becoming soggy. I often ask for extra gravy layered in for a small extra charge, which lets me have abundant gravy for every bite of fry.“

“Palermo's used to be my go to for pizza. I had stopped ordering for awhile (no fault of the restaurant I got bored of pizza) I had forgotten how amazing the pizza was so I kept ordering from other places and I had always been a little disappointed. We decided to order Palermo's again tonight for the first time in years and I'm sorry I ever stopped it is the best pizza in the area(if not the best pizza in Ottawa). The pizza is cooked well (I hate when a pizza is "doughy". The cheese has a beautiful color to it from the oven and a perfect amount of toppings. We got black olives on one of the pizzas and they were so good. I had been craving a pizza with black olives for months and every time I ordered from other pizza places the olives were disgusting, soggy or dehydrated little black specs on the pizza. They add the olives at the end of cooking (I'm assuming they didn't look over cooked) and they were very good quality. We order pizza about once a month and will be using Palermo's as our go to pizza place. Will be recommending to all our friends and family.“

I am aware there is another location in Barrhaven but my review is concentrated to this location in Manotick. The location does not look like much on the surface or even inside the establishment. You could drive past this place without giving it a second thought had it not been for the large signs placed at the entrance of the main gate to the parking lot. The inside is of contemporary design but is rather small.However, where the place may lack in aesthetic makes up for in food. The first thing I smelt as I parked the car was the burgers being made inside this establishment. A crucial element and one that made me wanting to try here even more desirable.As I entered, it was not particularly busy so I got to order right away. The menu had a variety of options while being straight forward and not overbearing. Options are great but too many make it complex to manage and difficult for the consumer to know what to choose. There are 9 burgers total. Four of which are purely beef. Two are chicken, one is vegetarian, one is haddock and one is a mix of beef and chicken called "Mega Burger."I decided to order the 12oz "Big Double Burger" with all the toppings and a poutine as a side with a Coca Cola.As a note, the service was good. Hospitable staff made for a family friendly environment.A point of criticism, I was not pleased to know that after I had ordered, that cheese is not included as a topping that almost all other establishments I attended used as a topping at no extra charge.No matter, I'll let the burger speak for itself. When it was ready, I was eager to try. Presentation 3.9/5. Being that it is a large burger with all the toppings it does make things a little messy if you are not careful in the assembly process. The toppings were fresh and beyond my expectations. The side order of poutine was good. Good amount of cheese and gravy. The fries were crisp and cooked well. Although, the true winner in this whole meal is the quality and taste of the beef. It is by far one of the best burgers I could have ordered. Very pleased and left satisfied.So this brings us to the end and back to the question I began with. Who makes the best burger? In the context of Ottawa and the area I think it is fair to contend that Burgers & Shakes Inc make the best burger.Overall: 4.5/5 - I highly recommend.“

I needed an urgent cake and they went above and beyond to not only ensure we had a cake, but they were able to customize the cake for me on an extremely tight timeline.
