“My go to place for crepe cakes. The taro purple rice was unique and we really enjoyed it. Felt like a fusion Chinese dessert in a cake format. The only downside is where the shop is located. If it’s your first time coming here it’s quite challenging to find. The entrance is in the parking lot and you can’t access it on the outside.“

The writing on the cake was also very neat and clean, which made the cake looked even more special. The online ordering was easy, and the pick up process was also super efficient. “A Japanese-style cake shop.

The Japanese have a long tradition of making Western-style pastries, to the point that they’ve developed their own distinct style. I remember seeing a very similar brand back when I was living in Shanghai. Later, there were claims of copyright issues, and it gradually faded from the spotlight—I haven’t seen it much since.

This shop is strictly takeout, with no seating area. They mainly specialize in cheesecake, offered in both warm and cold versions. I’ve tried both, and at most I once bought three of each.

The counter is transparent, and every time a batch comes out of the oven, the cakes are boxed up in groups right away.

“We got 7 pastries for $20–bruh, that’s hella worth it! The quality is amazing, the fillings are super tasty, and it smells sooo good that I literally downed two right after paying 😂 (okay, maybe I was just hungry, but still). You can even smell the pastries from a few stores away!

The quality and size totally surprised me, they look like they’d be pricey, but nope, they’re actually pretty affordable and huge! Customer service was great too.

The only thing to keep in mind is that it can get busy really fast, so the line might be longer than expected. I’d recommend going early to avoid the rush! I’m coming back to try their desserts next time, their cakes looks gooooddddd!“

“Go to place for Shanghai style moon cakes (with pork filling), they are seasonal that you can only get around this time, call in a day or two ahead to pre-order and advise of pick up time, and voila, you will get freshly made, flaky juicy and still hot very tasty moon cakes. Once a year, see you there!“

“I have a lot of food restrictions. Grainfields bread is the best tasting, cleanest bread I have found. I am sometimes able to locate it in health food stores, but not reliably, so I am very pleased to know I can visit the bakery. Their kamut rolls are fantastic and I am hoping they will start to produce burger buns as well!“

“i've had butter baker a few times and they don't disappoint ! on my most recent visit we had the lemon merengue soft serve, with a lemon and marshmallow swirl. the lemon tasted like a tangy, fresh sorbet, while the marshmallow had the slightest toasted flavour, making for a well balanced combination. we also got a slice of the winter berries and vanilla cake. i'm always a big fan of the cream on their cakes, and the vanilla chiffon was moist. service can be a little slow sometimes and seating is very minimal, but i think it's still definitely worth coming for the food.“

“Always love trying asian bakeries and just happened upon this place.

Didn’t expect much, but the egg tarts were top tier. I liked how soft the custard was but still keeping its shape. Crust was nice and flaky and buttery too.

I also got some time of salted egg bun which was a nice little find too. It was so good with what I believe is either a green tea or matcha crust.

Service was all about quickness and efficiency which they proved. A steady lineup and with what little seats available, they were full. They also second as an hk cafe and just looking at the food they’re bringing out, I know I’m gonna have to come back. The beef fried rice noodle looked absolutely delicious.

Parking was easy as many of the businesses in this plaza are quick stops other than the doctors clinic and couple food spots. But ample parking to fit everything.

“The frozen dim sum are good and suitable for families. Only problem is the staff there are consistently unfriendly and mean. I’ve been there several times and each time is the same, they talk with an attitude for no reason and make the interaction very uncomfortable.“

“I ordered a birthday cake here the first time. I expected the writings will be placed on top of the retangular cake. There are lots of empty spaces... why they put the writing on a very tiny piece of chocolate and put it at the side of the bottom. It was hardly to see what was in the writing. For what occasion and for who! Quite disappointed! And they charged me a price of $17 more according to their listed price of $65 for a 8"x12" cake. Plus an extra of $20 for the pair of baby shoes (a plastic toy) for decoration. I also tried their bread, also find the textures are hard to chew... I wont return again.“

Service was prompt and friendly, the desserts seemed fresh, my mom enjoyed their cappuccino, though I wasn’t a huge fan of the matcha yuzu soda. Would likely try something else though, can’t wait to eat the premium cheese tart!“

“At Savorology Artisan Bakery, the mochi bubbles are excellent. I tried two flavors — Milk Tea and Mango grapefruit. The mochi skin is wonderfully chewy with a nice stretch, though the bottom layer is slightly on the thicker side. The flavors are fantastic and truly live up to their names. Each one looks adorably plump, and the layers are well executed. If you love mochi, this is a must-try.“

“I bought a sandwich machine from Japan. This is the only loaf bread fit my machine at Toronto. You can choose the thickness.The quality of bread also number one at this area. Their tofu cheese cake always sold out quickly. You will never regret for their bread and cake.“

“It is a very well known bakery shop, the most famous item is their egg tarts 😋, it contains much more egg custard than the tarts from other bakery shops, the size of tart is pretty larger, I like the best is it doesn't taste too sweet. The bakery shop is always my flavors place for tarts. Besides the tarts, cakes, buns, HK style cup cake，and they serve drinks as well. Highly recommended.

I visited them again yesterday and found some new items which are the traditional pastries. They looked very cute and each of them has a different flavor. I tried the rose flavoured one, it has a tiny bit taste of rose, it wasn't too strong but was good enough to stand out it's taste.“

“Good staff and they have a pricing list up which is always helpful. It’s a store front so very small. Pricing for the boxes are the same price at Danforth market. Do with that what you will. The cocoa bread is a great deal as well. Only thing I wish they did was sell hot single patty’s“
