“Negril has the best j*** chicken and oxtail in ALL of the GREATER TORONTO AREA. There is no place that offers better oxtail and j*** chicken than they do.A resteraunt is only as good as the chef making the food. The tall older man (presumably the owner) that makes the food at Negril is the GOAT. GREATEST OF ALL TIME. HE IS THE REASON THE FOOD TASTE SO GOOD.No other j*** chicken and oxtail resteraunt in Ontario competes.Long live the chef at Negril. Blessing our community with excellent soul food. The chef's hands have been blessed by God.“
“Great Patties but super busy and hard place to find a parking spacePatties extremely spicy but tasty and very hot (freshly made) a must try if you like Patties also reasonably priced if you can go on off peak hours .... I will go back for sure“
“Been hearing about this place for the longest time. I live in Mississauga & work Downtown, so I had to somehow make my way down here for lunch… Finally did, and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by Stacy & she took care of everything, especially when it got real busy for lunch. Precise with her orders. I got the Jerk Chicken lunch special & the infamous Oxtail Stuffed Patty. Let’s start with the lunch special. Perfectly seasoned chicken, flavourful rice & creamy coleslaw. A great deal for lunch !!Now for what we came for. The Oxtail Stuffed Patty. Let me tell you how good this thing is, trust me, it’s worth the wait & a staple for this restaurant.A hot, flaky beef patty, with flavourful, tender Oxtail with gravy (it’s not real if you don’t find a bone or two in there) & coleslaw stuffed inside. Wow. Is all I have to say. Please get it, does not disappoint. One thing though, you have to eat the Stuffed Patty right away as the gravy will make it soggy & you don’t want that. However, it’s still good even if it is soggy. I ate my lunch special first that’s why.Highly recommended place, will definitely be back again, whenever I can. Thanks guys !!“
“Place is still fire. Prices are still competative. The jerk chicken plate is juicy and good flavor. Patties are still very good although not the best in the city anymore. But still a top 5. Coleslaw is good. It's a good place. The goat Roti is also very respectable. The employees are always happy to see you.“
“it was my mom and I’s first time ordering from from pimentos jerk chicken today. my friend Emily was raving about how good it was and I decided to give it a try for myself and oh boy, was she right! we ordered the buffalo jerk chicken wrap, beef patty and festival. all were very tasty and highly recommended. i’m not sure how the inside atmosphere is but i heard they play music and have good service. go check out pimentos jerk chicken!“
“Hi here is your guy with the grandmother story from tonight .I just finished to eat your oxtail. My statment is ; A Jamaican Michalin Stàr is going to you. I dont know how another dishes taste that why I gonna come back when im in this are. You guys are very blessed.“
“My first time here after hearing good things about the price and product. Place was non-stop busy on a mid Thursday afternoon. Take out only., cash or debit only. Very friendly and helpful staff. "Seconds" (I can't tell the difference) are $7.00 for a bag or twelve frozen. I bought two bags because they are truly a bargain. A large variety of Carribean food available but we did not try on this visit. However, a long line of people were getting take-out so they have an excellent reputation. Place is not wheelchair accessible. Only down side is limited parking for their popularity...maybe ten spots maximum. However, they do have a parking security guy in the lot keeping things moving and orderly. Tried they "spicy" version patties when we got home. Absolutely delicious. This will be a regular spot for me. Highly recommend.“
“Had lunch at Sunset Caribbean Takeout & Catering and tried out their smoked jerk chicken which came with rice and peas and side coleslaw. I really enjoyed this smoked rendition of jerk chicken and the food overall was very flavorful. Also ordered a beverage which included pineapple, coconut, and flaxseed which was also very tasty. If you are in Scarborough, the East of Toronto, make sure to check out this take out restaurant. They are open 12-8 pm Mon-Fri, 8-8pm Sat. They have lunch specials on weekdays and have recently introduced breakfast Caribbean style on Saturdays too.“
“Really great authentic tasting Jamaican food. One of the greatest things about Kitchen King is that the quality and consistency is spot on each and everytime. For me this was the best find in years for Good Jamaican food and also costumer service is good too for a change.“
“I ordered from Rose's Halal Kitchen via Uber Eats. The Jerk Chicken and Goat Curry are truly the highlights of the menu. The taste is so home-like and the portion sizes are generous. Hats off for such incredible tasting food. My first time ever having Jamaican food and I am so glad I had it from Rose's.“
“Not sure if they have new people making the patties but I have been going here for a lot of years and they are not the same. First of all, there was almost no filling and of that filling there was almost no meat, mostly gelatin. Second of all, they were not spicy. I wouldn't even call it mild. Third of all, the patties were way, way too salty. I mean box of salt flavour. Someone must have tipped the salt over by accident because nobody in their right mind would use that much salt. Two of us were driving down the road and couldn't finish them, chucking patties out the car window. It's a real shame and it was a waste of money. The pastry was excellent though and maybe you should back the salt off in that too. I felt sick after for about 1 hour. Ok, new better baker n more meat. Update 2024 : Recently I went back and they have fixed the patties. Just as good as ever. Craving patties and going back again today. Also, that is not my hand in the photo with the werewolf fingernails, that is the driver.“
“Came here the other night for the first time because I was craving oxtail. It did not dissapoint! Flavour and portion size was good. I was also able to get some fried chicken if i waited 10mins and it was WELL worth it.Def my new JA spot for sure since everywhere else has fallen off“
“The Spice is certainly rite at this place! Spice is Rite has the best Jamaican food I've had in Scarborough. Great value for money. The lady at the front is also very helpful and kind. I had the jerk chicken which fell off the bone and was very flavorful. Very good value on their lunch specials as well. Will be returning!“
“I've been a loyal patron of this hidden gem for over 20 years, and there's a reason I've only ever ordered one item—the jerk pork. Despite the inevitable rise in prices, this spot has maintained consistent portions that keep me coming back time and time again.Having tasted jerk dishes from all corners of the city, Jamaica and abroad, this place remains my top choice for authentic jerk in Toronto. What sets it apart? The answer lies in the homemade special sauce, a runny, freshly blended, vinegary concoction of jerk and spicy flavors. You can take this culinary masterpiece home in a jar or a convenient plastic takeout container. I personally stock up to bring it to the cottage, where it becomes the perfect accompaniment to all our BBQ meats. I've yet to find a scotch bonnet sauce that even comes close at any other establishment. The jerk pork here is a work of art. Unlike other places that serve it in large cubes, they opt for thinner slices, enhancing the overall experience. The meat is incredibly tender, and each piece soaks up the flavorful sauce. The girl behind the counter has been a constant presence for as long as I can remember. Her service is not just about efficiency; it comes with a genuine smile and the occasional song. Her commitment to customer satisfaction adds an extra layer of warmth to an already awesome eatery.“
“Parents brought me here since I live 200 km away and don't have any place to buy Jamaican food. Really wanted some coco bread so my wife could try a patty sandwich with it, so my parents bought a dozen for me. I stayed outside by the car and had a smoke, so can't speak for what it's like inside, but the food will forever be delicious.Being in Markham, you'd be safest in an armoured vehicle; I witnessed three near-accidents in the tiny parking lot at the front of the building in about five minutes.Parking: Tiny parking lot and horrible drivers; if I had brought my landyacht instead of driving with my parents there would definitely be a lot more corpses, disabled vehicles and police there right now.“
“We tried this spot for the first time as we randomly found it from Google. We tried the oxtail, jerk chicken and ackee and salt fish. The spice level was nice as it had a good kick to it but not overpowering. The food overall had good flavour but found it a bit too salty.“
“Absolutely delightful experience eating here every time! I could truly tell that this food is cooked with the upmost respect and passion, it really is. It's always a pleasure orderring out the beef patties and jerk prok, it always tantalizes my tounge and a great price. Keep up the amazing work you do for the community!“
