“We had a great wine tasting here. Booked via the site for €12/pp (I think it’s now €15/pp?) and we could choose 4 wine samples out of the entire menu. We got a short explanation of what each wine was about from the friendly staff and they even offered us an extra sample of their ice wine to taste at the end. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area and want to try a cosy wine tasting. Maybe book in advance to be sure, but they do allow walk-ins :)”

“Fantastic and relaxing. We enjoyed Sunday lunch. Our party of 8 loved the food, the knowlegeable service (Thanks Chrissy), the atmosphere.
Note, the lunch portions are large. You will not leave hungry.
Cannot speak about desserts as we were all full, with some taking leftovers home.
Excellant value for the pricing, and just as important a great atmosphere away from the hustle of city life.

“This was my second experience at Trius restaurant. We went for our anniversary this time and really enjoyed ourselves. The food is excellent and they are on the Michelin guide for a reason. I didn’t like that the bread and butter wasn’t included considering with tip and wine, this was like a $400 meal already. It was also served in a plant pot for some reason. My husband got the duck appetizer and I got the ice wine beets. He had the halibut, and I had the Cornish hen. And dessert, he had the blueberry cheesecake and I had the peach pavlova. Both appetizers were very good, the peach pavlova I think was better, but the Cornish hen was the dish of the night. Wow it was so good! Our server was very lovely, and I thought the staff was very impressive coming out with each dish and explaining every component with every course. Overall it was a great experience, and we would consider returning on another trip to NOTL.”

“A great hidden spot to watch the falls and fireworks at night without the big crowds. The view is lovely, and it’s much more relaxing than standing right at the front with everyone else. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the atmosphere makes it a nice place to unwind in the evening. Definitely worth checking out if you want a more laid-back way to enjoy the falls.”

The poached eggs were spot on, and the eggs Benedict was delicious — they kindly removed the meat and added an extra egg with fresh tomatoes on top. My husband and kid also loved the Belgian waffle, absolutely to die for! Cozy, welcoming vibes and lovely service. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.”

Not only was the lunch recommendation on point; the fritters were absolutely amazing. However, the best thing ever was the service! Zoran was the kindest person ever and when I spoke to my family by phone later in the day-he was the first one I told them about. I’m not sure when I’ll make it back but Fritters on the Lake will be my first stop and everyone that is headed that way will have my highest recommendation. “Hands down, one of the finest craft breweries in North America. I have been a fan since they started their degree program in 2010. It has been a pleasure to follow their graduates as they move to prominent breweries in Canada and beyond. They have a permanent lineup of core beers that represent major lagers and ales from around the world. My favourite is their Strong Ale 101, a classic Scotch Ale. Most interesting to me are the small batch beers brewed by the students. The creativity and quality are extraordinary. A recent roster included 2 German Kolsch variants, a peach ale, a stylized Belgian Brown ale and a German Dunkelweizen. In the past, students released English spiced winter ales and the best Hefeweizen brewed outside Germany that I have ever tasted. Their Growler Club is a bargain. For the past 5 years or so, I convinced my family to spring for a membership to celebrate my birthday and Fathers Day. Free seminars, discounted merch, free tastings and 1 complimentary growler fill per month! Plus a free excuse to visit once a month to sample the exclusive Growler Club brew. They are currently shut down because of the Pandemic, but I encourage beer afficionados in Ontario to sample their wares by placing a phone order. Shipping is free or nominal in Ontario. Just to show my continued support, I actually made the 2+ hour round trip yesterday to pick up a case of assorted beers. Their seminars have transitioned to a Zoom based format. You can even sample along with the speaker by ordering the target beers for each session. Moderated by master brewers on staff, they are well worth attending.”

“I go to this Wendy's once a week or two on average, because the service and food quality are consistently good; few errors/issues over the years.

I've taken one star away, because this Wendy's and its staff never put mustard on the burgers; they provide mustard packets instead! The day of this review update, I ordered two single burgers and got only two little mustard packets for my burgers.

Convenient drive-thru for take out orders.

I often order using the Wendy's mobile app, but it's still buggy and sometimes frustrating. However, functionality with saved/favourite items seems to be better now.

Usually, we are ordering burgers & fries for the family, but also enjoy the chicken burgers and salads.

Perhaps most importantly, this Wendy's always gives me some of the most delicious fries, when I ask for the fries to be "extra crispy, double-downed" - be prepared to wait EXTRA LONG if you do so - the longer it takes to bring those fries, the better!”
