“Have gone here for years & have always been very happy with our fish and chips. Fish was crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, so yummy!Very reasonably priced as well.Good Friday is always crazy busy but they were friendly & working fast to get everyone’s food.Definitely recommend!“

“Had breakfast which was ok. But the girl serving us was incredible, she did cash, server, cleaned up and checked up on us...and was polite....she deserves a raise ! Only downside is the dinning area looks quite drab, it needs some colour and change the white industrial lights to soft yellow home style lighting.“

“Such a fun place. Anglr is not a typical seafood restaurant but more of a modern twist on some classic fare. From a Mexican, Asian, and Classic British style food everything here has a twist to make it fun and different. We had some classic crab cakes, shrimp dumplings, fried Oreos. So much food. What a blast. The owners are amazing. They know what they are doing. House made hot sauce which was great. Looking for a great meal with friends or family and something for everyone this is a place to come to.“

“this is my go to place for fish and chips. I got the Cod & Chips. the Cod is moist and flaky. the batter they use is super light and crispy. i appreciate the hot fresh fries. it goes so well with the side order of gravy. Service is excellent. they have indoor or patio seating. I like that they have indoor air purifiers around the restaurant. they have a couple of parking spots beside the restaurant but there is also street parking.“

“We were a large party. I got the brie and avo Benny and my hollandaise sauce was cold.The classic Benny was great. The salad is nice. The home fries were the frozen variety but apparently they are supposed to ask you which potatoes you want. I would have much preferred the potatoes with onion, So my meal was not optimal.The classic breakfast was great.Another peron got the chicken and waffles and the chicken was wayyy overcooked and the portion was too small.“

I got the lunch special Basa with chips & I must say, it’s very delicious especially when you pair it with the house tartar sauce !!!Will definitely be coming back just for the halibut (see what I did there?). “My first time trying Amy’s Fish and Chips was on Good Friday, and man were they busy- as expected. Family owned, fair prices, and great portions. The staff here were busy but still provided great customer service. My only feedback would be that the side salads could use larger dressing cups but overall, a great experience.“

“The food was great. I got a medium rare steak, it was very tender and juicy, and their waffle fry poutine is so savoury and filling. We had Jasmine as our server and she was so sweet! Very accommodating and had such a kind vibe to her. The inside is very cozy and the prices are excellent as well :)“

“Early 70's atmosphere in the restaurant with the ceiling showing water damage spots is quite eerie. But once the food came out the eerie feeling went away. Enjoyed the seafood platter with halibut. Server/chef was very knowledgeable of the dish and was able to explain dishes very well. Will definitely do takeout next time.“

“No frills, just good, fresh fish with friendly staff who are genuinely happy to have you there. Small menu with everything you want. Open plan cooking area with nothing to hide. Fresh potatoes cut and fried as you watch. Great ventilation, no cooking smells. Onion rings scrumptious and crunchy but too much oil for me.“

We had to wait a bit longer than usual, but it was not unreasonable given the holiday. Our server, Sharlene, was nothing but amazing!! So welcoming and courteous! “We ordered 8 PC's of halibut and fries. The quality was good as usual however I feel that in order to rush the orders (since it was Good Friday), they did not allow the oil to drain so there was a lot of oil in the boxes.We had also called ahead to find out whether there was a Good Friday menu and we were told it was the same regular menu. As we were 4 couples, I was paid by the other couples in advance based on the prices on the website however when I went to the restaurant, not only did McNies not offer everything on the menu but the prices were higher than what was on the menu by 10%. This was very disappointing as I was not prepared for the increase or to have changed the order since they were not offering an item on the menu“
