I ordered the Osmanthus tea with almond milk, which had a nice flavor but was a bit too sweet for my taste, as the sugar level can only be adjusted to “less” rather than eliminated entirely.

This was my second visit, and I’d be happy to return to try a different flavor—ideally one with a stronger tea presence and less emphasis on milk and sweetness.“

“I've been a customer of this restaurant since they started their branch on Bathurst St. Over the years, I've watched the business grow, and I'm always impressed by their service, food, and ambiance. The friendly staff always put a smile on my face, from ordering to finishing my meal. The restaurant continues to evolve, introducing new menu ideas and popular Filipino desserts-to-go like Taho, Buko Pandan, and Fruit Salad. Kabalen is a true gem in North York, perfect for bringing visitors to satisfy their cravings - a home away from home. One drawback though, is the accessibility. The dining area is located upstairs and the washroom is downstairs in the basement. As a result, it is not advisable for wheelchair users to dine in. Nonetheless, the establishment maintains a clean environment and is conducive for group gatherings, or for individuals like myself, who just wants to unwind after a days work.“

“Was there for a Sunday brunch with friends. Food is awesome and coffee is good. The workers were very nice but I felt that they were short staffed because it took very long for them to greet us and bring us water. It was over 10min before a waitress was able to take our order. The food was also slow to show up and they may have missed a couple things from the order as it didnt come out until we asked for it after waiting a while. Everybody seemed swamped and perhaps there needs to be a designated server among them.

“The wings were awesome and so were the fries. I hated that I had to pay for condiments. The service was up and down; depending on who's working, you may or may not have a pleasant experience. I like that it's open late and the food preparation was within proper time frame.“

“Wanted to treat my tenants and since I was far from downtown and my regular go-to place Fresca, I googled and saw the many great reciews so gave it a try. I found it not bad but did find the dough on the dry side and a bit over cooked. Owner is nice and makes the pies himself. When I was there I saw him turn down an order of 6 pizzas for that evening. Overall it was not bad“

“Great friendly service, was served food pretty fast. The best fried calamari I have had yet. The chicken Slovakia dinner was so yummy. I can’t wait to try some of the other dishes they have. I Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys some real tasty Greek food.“

“5 stars is for Yejin. I came early today right at opening as I wanted to purchase two drinks and get the free pride pin.

When I was placing my order, I made a few mistakes and Yejin was so patient with me. She also showed me a hack which is to take a screenshot of the app bar code as sometimes it logs people out. She was so friendly and knowledgeable.

“I enjoy eating at this place and this food court. I have had their fried chicken pretty often now and every time it hits the spot for a very reasonable price. The spicy chicken is great as well, not very spicy but has a great flavor. Tried their chicken sandwich as well and it's not the best chicken sandwich in the world but it hits the spot with the dark meat. Tenders are also quite good, not the largest in size but respectable and very reasonably priced. I do enjoy eating here. The food is good and reasonably priced, the staff is also very respectable and friendly.“
