“We were headed up the 401 and needed a pitstop, a quick Google Search didn't identify any of your usual Chain Restaurants but then Schnitzel Shack appeared with 5 Star ratings. This amazing place with two lovely young ladies did not disappoint. Their cheerful and helpful demeanor confirmed we chose the right place. With their warning about the serving size disregarded? we ordered a Schnitzel Parm sandwich, a Schnitzel sandwich with frite sauce and a generous order of homemade fries.One word AMAZING! A massive tender and lightly crispy pork schnitzel had to be folded three times to fit on their fresh-baked bun. The taste is to die for! Their fresh-cut fries were a major treat. What is even more surprising was the value! So the next time you find yourself within 100 KMs of Port Hope, head to the Schnitzel Shack - they won't disappoint.“

“Great little cozy spot for breakfast. We stopped here on our way to Montreal. Anytime were on vacation we always make a point to stop by the independent restaurants and this one didn't disappoint. Food was great, service was friendly and I am looking forward to the Triple R pudding we got to go!Big breakfast and eggs Benedict was our order. I love how the big breakfast comes with double meat portions ? and the blueberry pancake was a perfect finish. We arrived 20 minutes after opening and they were already somewhat busy with a few tables already reserved. If you want a spot between 9 and 11, you might want to make a reservation as around 10 I saw a small lineup.Parking: Strtte parking was plentiful when we went, early April on a weekend.“

“I checked out this restaurant after hiking the Ganaraska Hiking Trail, and was very glad that I did. The homemade burger I ate was delicious and very reasonably-priced. The service was so warm and friendly. And the canoe-and-fishing-inspired decor was perfect for this lakeside restaurant. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back!“
