“We had an amazing dining experience at The Pickle Barrel in Pickering! The calamari appetizer was perfectly cooked and delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly to a medium-rare, and the pasta was also full of flavor. Overall, all the main dishes were delicious and had fantastic taste.
The service was great as well. I highly recommend The Pickle Barrel in Pickering for a great dining experience!“

“Great place to host a group. We reserved for for a birthday with a group of 14. Staff were so accommodating and lovely. The party room was semi-private allowing for easy conversation, mingling and great lighting for photos. The food was excellent with lots of great party platter options (and halal items!). Our servers Lucy and Eden took great care of us - they didn’t feel make us feel rushed or like we were a bother. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!“

“I eat here weekly and Kayla is my server most of the time and she’s just amazing. She’s very friendly and attentive, she always makes sure I have everything I need. My dining experience at Jack Astor’s is always perfect and Kayla makes that happen.“

“My wife and I have been coming here for years. We have not been disappointed once. Great food.“

“Had a really nice dinner here with my wife and my daughter. The service was really good! The server heard my daughter was hungry so she rushed her food out first which was very thoughtful! The atmosphere was peaceful which is nice during the holiday hustle and bustle. The food was authentic and very delicious. 5 stars across the board!“

“My friend and I often go for breakfast on Friday mornings to the Sunset Grill. The service is always fast accurate and friendly. On our last visit, we had a lovely waitress named Allie, who took care of our order. During our visit she was especially attentive and returned to refill our coffee and asked how our food was as well as if she could bring HP sauce or hot sauce. It’s unusual to enjoy such superb service! We have found that the food is always delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend this location.“

“Great location and the food was made and cooked perfectly. As always got the four cheese spinach dip and hubby and me decided on burgers. Both were cooked and plated to perfection. Fries are a nice thick cut fry and cooked decently, but I would ask for well done next time as I prefer my fries a bit more crispy. Our server could of replenished our drinks before we finished eating, but it wasnt the end of the world. Just decided to not buy an additional round of drinks as we were pretty much done eating. As a customer thats okay, as a business owner they missed out on the upsale of a second round.“

“Everthing I have tried so far has been very good. I have only gotten delivery but have gotten nice messages written on the bags. For example I ordered on Thanksgiving day they wrote Happy Thanksgiving. Thank Amigo's 😊“

“Starting with the greeter who was so personable and funny, then the waitress too was friendly Attentive funny and sincerely liked her job. Food great. Sweet to have the House take care of the birthday boy’s desert. Thank you making such a great evening“

“Heather was our waitress and we couldn’t have had a better person serving us. She is very happy and knows how to treat customers. You are very lucky to have her. Believe me as we eat out quite often and it’s hit and miss as to getting a great server or not!“

“We just celebrated my wife’s birthday. We had 28 adults and 4 kids. The food was great, atmosphere was very relaxing.Staff was friendly, did not rush us.I would recommend The Brock House for any occasion.Thank you so much !“

“I had the big breakfast and it was SO good!!!! And really affordable. I feel really bad because I left a bad review last time because it was cold which wasn’t the fault of the restaurant. They asked to rate it and I did. The taste was good even though it was cold likely due to the courier. I ordered again and was so glad I did. This time everything was steaming hot and was really delicious. I will definitely order from here again. Exactly what I was craving!“

“Amazing End to End Customer Service from Emily. She went above and beyond her call of duty, to make sure I had the best possible experience. Very reasonably priced meals and daily specials available. Very elaborate menu with a lot of choice.“

“The classic breakfast was delicious—everything was fresh, hot, and cooked perfectly.

A big thank-you to the entire staff for the excellent customer service. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Great food and even better service!

I highly recommend Sunset Grill. I’ll definitely be back! 🍳🥓☕“

“We recently visited this restaurant with a party of 26, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Organizing a group of this size can be a challenge, but Sarah handled it with humour, professionalism, warmth, and efficiency. The food was outstanding—every dish was flavorful, and served in generous portions that left everyone more than satisfied. Whether it was appetizers, mains, or desserts, the quality and taste were consistently excellent across the board. What truly stood out was the service. Despite the size of our group, Sarah was attentive, friendly, and incredibly organized. Orders came out promptly and correctly, and they made sure everyone was comfortable and happy throughout the meal. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and the quality of both food and service. It’s rare to find a place that delivers so well on all fronts, especially for large gatherings. Highly recommended for both small dinners and big celebrations. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Everybody is so kind and friendly and always makes me feel welcome, even Maddy the trouble maker!“
