I don't go to dinner so much but when I have the Schnitzel is so good. I also had the wings at Jam festival and I can't believe how good they was. I highly recommend this restaurant. Came in the afternoon and say many happy regulars on their 3rd lunch beer. The 5 dollar breakfast is what got me in the door and it did not disappoint. “I had such a great experience! The server Ashley was great. She made my day and made me smiled a lot. My partner and I ordered the spinach dip which was a HIT and a great and generous portion size! I took my wife and daughter there, we ordered a burger meal it was very juicy and it was homemade, we also ordered a poutine which was very pleasant and we ordered pasta which was very creamy and delicious. We're not from Oshawa just happened to come across the Crooked Uncle on Google...but when I phoned to ask about food allergies I was greeted by the most lovely welcoming employee! She was able to answer our questions on the phone and we LOVED having Kelly as our waitress! It was a bit early on Saturday for us to be able to have the Prime Rib dinner but all 4 of us LOVED our food! No pics be ause we were hungry but the table was quiet, no complaints! Lovely bread pudding with creme anglaise and ice cream. It was a large serving, so be warned. “BP North hosted my wife's 60th birthday. It was one of the few restaurant's that could accommodate a large group of around 50 while offering a wide range of food choices. It also helped that it was one of the few places my wife likes to eat :-) Added bonus - due to the Whitby strike, if I had booked a hall, I would have been scrambling. Extra bonus points for BP! It turned out to be perfect for us. They let me store the cake early and let my daughters in early to decorate the area. Our servers and other staff were awesome. There were a couple of food issues but they were sorted out quickly. Bills were accurate. They didn't try to rush us out. I had made reservations a couple of months in advance so they were well aware of our group. Everyone really enjoyed their time and commented on how great this location was for a party this size. The dining room was so much better than the noisier bar. Thank you so much for making my wife's surprise party a success!“
“Overall enjoyed our meal however it was a little disappointing that we were trying to enjoy our alone time and the server was filling up other tables condiments like salt pepper and sugar which I understand doing so at table that people aren’t sitting at… she decided to interrupt us while we were eating to pass her over salt, pepper and sugar to fill up. It wasn’t overly busy and we had plenty enough that I don’t feel it was needed to be done while we were eating then she was reaching over us to put them back she also unfortunately forgot quite a few of our items and when we asked about them we were told they didn’t come with that item (toast) but the menu stated it did she seamed a bit annoyed after this but was trying to be as friendly as possible. Food was hot and good hash browns a tad undercooked but we would come back and try it again“
