“Absolutely delicious sweet and savory treats. I have so many food allergies but I can safely eat the food from this bakery. i appreciate the plant based options too. I love the oat fudge bars, vanilla cakes/cupcakes, chocolate cakes/cupcakes, custom cakes, both types of quiche, the scones, brownies, spiced chocolate bar, lattes, drip coffee, cookies...geeze I guess I go there a lot. I haven't even tried everything in the bakery yet. It is a wonderful for breakfast, midday treat and dessert after dinner. I stock up on Sunday to have enough to last me until Thursday morning when the bakery reopens for the week. I am having a very hard time sticking to just one item a day. It is great for school lunch treats because it is a nut free bakery. This is important for school staff and students.“

“This is one of my top cafes in the GTA. I would like to gate keep it if I could but the place deserves the recognition. Beautiful nooks to read and catch up with friends. The place has character, with a it’s exposed brick and tons of books to choose from. I like to come here to do some light work. Amazing ambiance. Only downside is that during the winter it can get a bit cold.“

Milk tea is served with sugar on the side . I can manage my own sugar in take , which i like a lot.“

“Food wasn’t not bad, very much like home cooking (something your mom cooks for you). Dishes were not too greasy and light in taste. However, the noise level inside was so high that I almost left (if not to meet friends there, I would have left). You could hardly hear yourself, not to mentioned hearing others. Price was on the high side, considered the home style cooking and its ingredients. Don’t try their BBQ pork, but do try their chicken and duck. Their desserts, I would recommend skipping.“

“After having a terrible experience at the other location on Orfus, this place was a breath of fresh air. The girl working was quick, confident, and clearly knew what she was doing. She even had my drink ready by the time I finished paying—that’s how fast she was! The drink itself was amazing. I’ve already been here twice and will definitely keep coming back.“

“Don’t Yell at Me is such a cute little spot with a fun vibe. I tried the Tiramisu Tea Latte, and it honestly felt like dessert in a cup creamy, rich, and so comforting. The Osmanthus Tea Latte was lighter and floral, really refreshing. Both drinks were beautifully presented and felt unique compared to other tea places. It’s definitely a nice place to relax and sip something different.“

“Ordered the strawberry bingsu and one of the lattes. Both were very good and the large bingsu was enough for two people. It has cheesecake bites in it which was very tasty. I would recommend getting the strawberry cake bingsu to get more cake pieces because they are really good“

What really stands out, though, is the way the place is managed. Shehan is incredibly welcoming, he remembers customers, checks in with a smile, and makes the whole experience feel personal. But today, we decided to branch out and try two of the Chef’s specials: the Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta and the Sea Bass with layered potatoes. OMG—both dishes were out of this world! “Delicious and fresh. Ordered the spicy beef. The noodles have a great texture and the broth itself is flavourful and does not feel too oily. In terms of spice, you can change the broth to suit your level of tolerance. After leaving the restaurant I did not feel full or have that heavy feeling with my stomach. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other dishes. The service was very good and all were friendly who came to the table.“

Kabalen is a true gem in North York, perfect for bringing visitors to satisfy their cravings - a home away from home. One drawback though, is the accessibility. The dining area is located upstairs and the washroom is downstairs in the basement. As a result, it is not advisable for wheelchair users to dine in. Nonetheless, the establishment maintains a clean environment and is conducive for group gatherings, or for individuals like myself, who just wants to unwind after a days work.“

It was nice to enjoy their reasonably priced lunch menu, we enjoyed the Sicilian (one with turkey and no eggplant) and the Turkey with provolone and jelly. My daughter ordered bow tie pesto pasta di burrata - out of this world fresh and delish! We ordered bruschetta and heated olives/crostini and the maple pecan salad, the dressing was a bit on the sweet side if you don't mind, we found it scrumptious. Desserts were great, cannoli with pistachio filling, chocolate eclair (we think coffee would be better), tiramisu was ok, and best of all of them however was the nutella filled croissant with fresh strawberries, heaven! Happy to go again, and again, and again :-)“

“This was our first time order from bhuribhoj for a small gathering at our home. Food and the service were excellent. The Kolkata style mutton biriyani was having the perfect aroma and the mutton was very well cooked.
