“The resto is actually big enough to fit large parties!

Came w/ a large group of friends after a saturday badminton session.

You have to kinda enter from a sketchy back entrance. The server wasn't the friendliest but she was prompt when we needed her which was good.

The portion sizes are nice and big. They have pork bone soup which uses the traditional spine of the pig but they also have pork and pork ribs soup (which they're always sold out of .... sad face). You can get your gamjatang w/ noodles though which is cool.

I liked the flavour of the supreme chicken but it's a shame that the chicken wasn't that crispy. I say this with all honesty. The chicken was slightly overcooked because while the meat wasn't dry, it certainly wasn't juicy either. The taste was on point though.

4 stars overall (5 if the chicken had been crispy).

“Arrived slightly before 12PM with my girlfriend and managed to get our names first on the waitlist. Promptly after, it started getting packed with tons of people signing up for the waitlist. Was very surprised to see how busy it was on a Wednesday afternoon at opening.

We both went for the $26.99 AYCE lunch special. Soup bases are included in the price and you can choose up to 2 different bases. Items to choose from were a bit limited from a protein perspective, but we were more than happy to inhale beef brisket slices and seafood. Veggies and sides were great too. Ice cream cone at the end was great and the perfect way to end the meal. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the Hokkaido pudding.

Service was exceptional. Staff members were very attentive, consistently topping up our soup pots, pouring water for us, and getting our food orders. Seating time is limited to 1 hour and 45 minutes. Ample time in my opinion.

Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Daimaru. I highly recommend it, especially for their lunch special. We both ate for just under $60 including a tip!“

“So me and my friends were really hungry and wanted to eat out. Came out to this wonderful restaurant for pizza with an excellent service from the young lady at the cashier “Reet”😍. Word! She was so so so wonderful that she helped us out to decide what to eat and lo she was so good at explaining what to get and what not to. Showed us a couple of good choices and toppings and honestly it was mind blowing. Thank you so much Reet. Really really enjoyed the food and your helping nature elevated the whole dining experience.

“I work in the area, and whenever I meet new colleagues, I always recommend this sushi spot. Everyone I’ve suggested it to has praised the generous portions of meat in their sushi and the fair pricing for the quality offered.

“My friends and I have now been going to Gabby's for quite a few times, maybe about 6 by now, usually on Sundays. The last couple of times have been on a Friday and Monday. We are mostly handicapped, using walkers or a wheelchair. I usually make the reservation, and specify a table near the lovely large windows. It has never been a problem on Sundays, but there seems to be one waitress who objects to our sitting near the window as we will "block" the servers. It is difficult enough being handicapped never mind having a surly woman telling us we are a problem. So, maybe this woman doesn't work on Sundays. We love this restaurant and the food and atmosphere is so great, usually. Most disappointing.“

We came back to this location again this year. I felt that the quality is a bit less than when I was here last year. The place is still packed but we didn't have to wait because of our reservation. Overall, it's still good but it's not cheap either.

2024 - First time at this place. I didn't have any expectation but was hungry for sure. This is a all-you-can-eat place so we ordered our first round of different sushi. The food came very fast and tasted very fresh. Thr only thing that we didn't like was the scallop. Service was good as well as they were many staff working. We were definitely stuffed an hour or so later. We enjoyed it.“

“First time trying Quesada. I was left very impressed. The service was very friendly. I ordered the beef quesadilla and chips with the hot salsa. The quesadillas tasted amazing. The toppings were very fresh compared to other Mexican places in Toronto. My go to is Chipotle and I was surprised this tasted better and more fresher than Chipotle. The salsa for the chips could use a little work it taste marinara sauce mixed with bunch of chilis. The tables and the toilet were very clean. I was very satisfied and will be buying Quesada rather than Chipotle.“

“Amazing place to grab pizza and it’s open late nights as well so when no other food shop is open, you can make your way here and order a whole pizza or a few slices. The individual slices portions is very substantial and tastes amazing as well.

Wish it had more place to sit down but I understand because it is a smaller shop. Regardless great service and great food, would definitely recommend.“

“Lucky has always been great. Taste quality and quantity has always been good and consistent. Where others have increased their price and also reduced their quantity, Lucky didn't. Their price have gone up a little but the quality and quantity havent change. You can easily order for 3 people and have enough food for 5. Their house Hakka noodles, chili beef and chicken, Manchurian fish are my go to dishes.“

“Great food, so many people who know the dishes, being of the same culture, queuing up patiently can't be wrong. There's two places to queue up from, the hot tables with the meal items like biryanis, curries etc. and there's the line that starts with the burfi. The curries and biryanis are delicious. The tandoori chicken leg is great and a generous size for the price. Don't forget the naan or roti. The burfi are a beautiful mosaic of colourful sweets and the ones I've tried are addictive. Next along the counters and displays are the hot snacks like spring rolls, mutton rolls (there's the vegie version as well) and the namesake snack... The samosas!!! The samosas are the most popular and they continually bring out more doing their best to keep up with the demand. Tons of people come in just for these triangles of yumminess from people buying big boxes of them for dinner at home, at a friend's house or even the company potluck to working folk stopping in for a delicious and affordable lunch that could very well fit in under the PST threshold even today in 2024. Unless you're eating them in the car as part of your limited lunchtime, the chutneys are amazing and not to be missed. There is also chai which is pretty good, but it is served nuclear hot. All in all, you can get not one, but two pretty large meals for three people for not much more than what you'll spend on McShit... If you love Indian food, this is a great place or if you're new to Indian cuisine, definitely a place to try some dishes for the first time.“
