“My mother and I tonight had just went out for Kelsey’s for supper. I found the place to noisy and hard to hear in conversation at times. Service and food was great, shared this appetizer flatbread with my mother, she enjoyed her wings and onion rings, I had the Big Bacon Double Cheese 🍔 which was fantastic with 🍟 and 🥵 sauce. “It’s About Thyme is fantastic. Sam is a master . Every time I order from him , it’s always the yummiest thing that I’ve eaten since the last time I ordered from him . I always order the beef Shawarma dinner and believe me it’s the best beef Shawarma anywhere in the city . The prices are excellent. The food is absolutely delicious. Way to go Sam ! Absolutely. Unbelievable so huge the portions the coffee is great and it doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg. This is a gem and cheap. My mail was $16. My wife paid it under $20 I believe for hers but she can get a huge meal for $10 999. Wow I feel like I’m in the 1980s but old school cooking at perfection great love it.“

“if you go through my reviews, you'll see that reviewing restaurants is kind of my thing. I love to cook great food so I don't go to restaurants as much as most others do, but when I do go, I have expectations. Also, I have no desire to blow smoke up anyone's butt because I don't want to waste your time or my reputation. food means too much to me to lie to you so it is with pleasure that I write this review about Some Place Else!

let's start with proper expectations. Traditionally speaking, this is NOT a restaurant, it is more of a Tavern/bar that serves food so if you are looking for a fancy place to impress a first date, this is not the place, this might be where you go after the date if you like to sing karaoke but this, for lack of a better word is a blue collar joint!

On to the food. The food served here is simple, every day type food. burgers, fish and chips, wings and the odd sandwich. what makes this place special, is the Owner! I wish I got her name but she came to our table personally and made sure we understand what we ordered, made some suggestions if we wanted to save some money and explained options that were not exactly on the menu. for example, I ordered the philly cheese steak wrap, but she explained that I could also get it on a sub sandwich bun instead of the wrap and offered to cut up some green peppers if I wanted to put in the sandwich. The sandwich was very, very good and I'm so happy she offered the bun instead of the wrap. Also, the french fries are hand cut and tasted like real potatoes.. I didn't try the gravy but I wish I did because this was home made fresh stuff.
my wife got a burger, I tasted it and it wasn't some pre frozen burger patty, it was a home made, real beef burger and tasted nice. I got a look at the wings too and they were nice and big which is nice. The food came quickly and hot and with a smile. the prices were reasonable and the portions sizes were good.
what meant the most to me, is that you could tell that the owner cared about your experience and wanted to make sure you were happy and that, is a recipe for a good meal.

I experienced the Black and Blue pasta. Simply delectable. Last night we returned for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. This time I could not resist the Steak Gorgonzola. So incredibly decadent, so delicious. My wife had the Penne Alfredo with Lobster and Crab. Also a beautifully presented dish that was delicious. The Caesar salad is definitely worth the upgrade too. “The Works is hands down one of the best spots around. Their burgers are unreal every single time, loaded with flavour and cooked perfectly. The service is just as amazing, friendly, fast, and genuinely personable. You always feel like you are being taken care of, not just served. And if you have not tried their homemade cheesecake yet, you are missing out. It is unbelievably good. Owners Julie and Kevin go above and beyond for their customers. You can feel how much they care in every detail, from the atmosphere to the food to the way they treat people. If you want great food and even better service, The Works is the place to go!“

“I always love eating from this place! I have tried the other Thai places in the area but they just don’t compare. The cashew chicken is my absolute favourite! And the portions are amazing. I always have leftovers for the next day. There is one particular Thai place in the area with the tiniest portions I have ever seen but I won’t name them here. “Big Tuna Sushi We were excited to return to Big Tuna on Ontario Street for my niece’s 16th birthday, as she chose it herself and we had a great experience last year. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to our expectations. The restaurant was a bit busy when we arrived so we waited 25 minutes for drinks and appetizers. The service felt disorganized and some food arrived cold or very late. My dessert " crème brûlée and the wontons ordered" were served cold, which was disappointing. One server (shorter woman with glasses, approximately 40–50 years old) was not very friendly during our visit between 6:30–8:30 p.m. on January 17th. She seemed annoyed the whole evening. My sister was told ahead of time to bring cash for a 10–20% discount, but this was not honoured as I was sitting with them at the table. We were told that because I arrived with my boyfriend and we paid separately, my niece and her mother’s bill no longer qualified for the cash discount — despite it being a family birthday reservation and we came to join in. Most disappointing was that my niece did not receive the birthday cheesecake or any recognition, even though we saw another table celebrating and the servers singing happy birthday. We truly wanted this to be a special night for her, especially being her 16th birthday. I hope the restaurant can address these issues so future celebrations reflect the positive experiences we’ve had in the past.“
