We had spaghetti and lazagna and both were delicious. Our server Amanda was friendly, warm, and came to our table at least 6 times to check up on us if we needed antything else or to take our dishes away. Other staff members helped her and she helped other and to clear the tables they all helped each other and they were done fast and efficient. We would definitely go again. The dessert was sooooo good that it melted in our mouths.“

The food was excellent. The chicken schnitzel is recommended. It seems to be the most popular selection by the restaurant’s patrons.

We also tried their smash burger which was generous in size and garnishing. Had a very homemade feel.

“Second time here, absolutely amazing I had the big eats get this five eggs four toast, three bacon three sausage home fries over easy absolutely perfectly cooked every time my wife had the lobster eggs Benedict four pieces of lobster with four Benedict. Absolutely. Unbelievable so huge the portions the coffee is great and it doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg. This is a gem and cheap. My mail was $16. My wife paid it under $20 I believe for hers but she can get a huge meal for $10 999. Wow I feel like I’m in the 1980s but old school cooking at perfection great love it.“

But man oh man was the food ever fantastic!
Amazing flavors in all 4 of the dishes we ordered,
Portion size was average
Server was super nice and kept checking in to see if we needed anything.Prices have gone up a little but what haven't.
Will definitely not wait another yr to return.
If I could suggest one thing is maybe add a little bit to the portion size to go with the price increase?
It's not like they were small
Just didn't really have much leftovers from ordering 4 separate things for 2 of us to eat.
In the past we always had quite abit for lunch the next day.
Don't take that as a complaint if the owner is reading this because the food was truly incredible flavor wise.

“I got the Baja fish tacos and my husband got the pork, the rice and beans are absolutely dynamite, the tacos were both so flavorful and very filling. My husband got a beer and I got a classic margarita, can't go wrong and they were also delicious. Our server, I don't recall her name, but she was so sweet and attentive even though it was fairly busy and she was the only one working front of house.

Aside from the food, the decor and overall atmosphere hits the mark perfectly.

“if you go through my reviews, you'll see that reviewing restaurants is kind of my thing. I love to cook great food so I don't go to restaurants as much as most others do, but when I do go, I have expectations. Also, I have no desire to blow smoke up anyone's butt because I don't want to waste your time or my reputation. food means too much to me to lie to you so it is with pleasure that I write this review about Some Place Else!

let's start with proper expectations. Traditionally speaking, this is NOT a restaurant, it is more of a Tavern/bar that serves food so if you are looking for a fancy place to impress a first date, this is not the place, this might be where you go after the date if you like to sing karaoke but this, for lack of a better word is a blue collar joint!

On to the food. The food served here is simple, every day type food. burgers, fish and chips, wings and the odd sandwich. what makes this place special, is the Owner! I wish I got her name but she came to our table personally and made sure we understand what we ordered, made some suggestions if we wanted to save some money and explained options that were not exactly on the menu. for example, I ordered the philly cheese steak wrap, but she explained that I could also get it on a sub sandwich bun instead of the wrap and offered to cut up some green peppers if I wanted to put in the sandwich. The sandwich was very, very good and I'm so happy she offered the bun instead of the wrap. Also, the french fries are hand cut and tasted like real potatoes.. I didn't try the gravy but I wish I did because this was home made fresh stuff.
my wife got a burger, I tasted it and it wasn't some pre frozen burger patty, it was a home made, real beef burger and tasted nice. I got a look at the wings too and they were nice and big which is nice. The food came quickly and hot and with a smile. the prices were reasonable and the portions sizes were good.
what meant the most to me, is that you could tell that the owner cared about your experience and wanted to make sure you were happy and that, is a recipe for a good meal.

So incredibly decadent, so delicious. My wife had the Penne Alfredo with Lobster and Crab. Also a beautifully presented dish that was delicious. The Caesar salad is definitely worth the upgrade too. “Big Tuna Sushi We were excited to return to Big Tuna on Ontario Street for my niece’s 16th birthday, as she chose it herself and we had a great experience last year. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to our expectations. The restaurant was a bit busy when we arrived so we waited 25 minutes for drinks and appetizers. The service felt disorganized and some food arrived cold or very late. My dessert " crème brûlée and the wontons ordered" were served cold, which was disappointing. One server (shorter woman with glasses, approximately 40–50 years old) was not very friendly during our visit between 6:30–8:30 p.m. on January 17th. She seemed annoyed the whole evening. My sister was told ahead of time to bring cash for a 10–20% discount, but this was not honoured as I was sitting with them at the table. We were told that because I arrived with my boyfriend and we paid separately, my niece and her mother’s bill no longer qualified for the cash discount — despite it being a family birthday reservation and we came to join in. Most disappointing was that my niece did not receive the birthday cheesecake or any recognition, even though we saw another table celebrating and the servers singing happy birthday. We truly wanted this to be a special night for her, especially being her 16th birthday. I hope the restaurant can address these issues so future celebrations reflect the positive experiences we’ve had in the past.“
