“A 10/10 must stop foodie restaurant. We enjoyed 1) the gobbler: a vegan spin on a thanksgiving sandwich with gravy for dipping and 2) the halloumi hot honey sandwich: a vegan hot grilled halloumi cheese with pesto and tofu bacon jam with greens. Both of our dishes were excellent for taste, texture, and presentation. Thank you Heather for hosting us and answering all our menu questions. So many choices and styles of dishes here at Rise Above. Truly a must stop shop! We will be returning tomorrow for a homemade vegan pumpkin cheesecake.“

“Finally made it to Nolaas for lunch. It was busy , so nice to see. Yummy baked good meet you at the door and before that 3 adorable doggies . Everything was fresh and delicious. Well presented and good portions. I couldn’t help stare at the pecan French toast with whip cream going by, next time 😉 I took a few Goodies to go and ordered 5 Xmas dinners and a Yule log. If you haven’t been you must make a trip. I will be back. Thank you“

“Residing in Hamilton we are spoiled for choice for donuts both here and nearby up on Burlington especially for Vegans but these might be my favourites, if not a close second to the vegan donut shop in Barrie. Absolutely superb, get stuck in today! Updated from previous review on 2026-10-03“

“The food and atmosphere of this little bistro is outstanding!! Service was excellent. The standout dish for our group of 8 was the meatballs but everything was delicious. It is a small restaurant and we were only able to seat 8 as we came between lunch and dinner around 2:30pm. Highly recommend this cute spot!!“

“We had an excellent experience at Wind tonight- there was an unfortunate event of a medical emergency, in which the staff reacted with the upmost compassion and professionalism. The guest quietly insisted on covering the drinks for the people around them (which was so so so kind & unnecessary- but thank you ❤️ just glad you are okay), and Wind covered an additional round if we were interested, which was totally above and beyond for a circumstance outside of anyone’s control. “The Works is hands down one of the best spots around. Their burgers are unreal every single time, loaded with flavour and cooked perfectly. The service is just as amazing, friendly, fast, and genuinely personable. You always feel like you are being taken care of, not just served. And if you have not tried their homemade cheesecake yet, you are missing out. It is unbelievably good. Owners Julie and Kevin go above and beyond for their customers. You can feel how much they care in every detail, from the atmosphere to the food to the way they treat people. If you want great food and even better service, The Works is the place to go!“

“Ordered takeout at 11pm and waited about 20 minutes. Ordered 3 curries and some rice. The wait time was reasonable and the food was good and had lots of flavour. Just wish that there was more meat. I used the washroom and there was toilet paper on the ground and one of the toilet seats was broken on one hinge. The dining area seamed pretty clean. First time eating from here and it was pretty good.“
