“In Nova Scotia, and just had their 2019 Balam. Easily the best beer I have had, the rich chocolate, the sweet bourbon, and the smooth toffee with the boozy hit, just magical. I wish there is more coming out of this in the coming years, and to get myself to Ontario to enjoy their beer in person.“
“A chill and cozy spot that I often visit with friends.
Beers are served in small mugs starting at $5, which makes it easy and fun to try different flavors—I actually prefer this size.
Drinks are ordered at the bar counter, and customers find their own seats. The staff service is neither particularly good nor bad—just average.
Inside, they sell snacks like nuts and chips, and there’s usually a food pop-up as well. However, the pop-up can sometimes be closed or sold out depending on the time or season, so if you’re hungry, you might need to head elsewhere for food.
It’s the perfect place to enjoy a drink on the patio during warm weather, or to take a relaxing break during the Christmas market season.“
“Great vibe and people! Fantastic beer!! You will not be disappointed!! 🍻“
“Better half and cherry tree beers have got to be one of the best beers I have ever had. Be careful as they are quite strong at 11.5 and 8.5% ABV but they taste SO Good.
Maybe one, possibly two after work has been quite a delight. I find myself excited to come home, drink(and savour) a few before bed.
100% going to get more when I return to Toronto.“

“Have visited this spot twice now, and will make it a regular stop on my trips to Toronto. I was lucky enough to be served by Erica both times, who was knowledgable and enthusiastic about their impressive draft list!“

“Great beer and ambience inside and out“
“I came in yesterday, there was this unprecedented party of people that showed up unannounced and had taken over the brewery common space. But the manager went out of their way to make it work for our party of people. Saved our Saturday and had some of the best beer in Toronto.“

“Fun restaurant on Ossington with really good beer - Jutsu and Roman Candle are my favs.
Smallish menu but a good variety of choices. Service was friendly and quick. Only downside is that it’s hard to get a seat because this restaurant is so popular.“
“There's always great beer options here, so many tasty options and caters to all sorts of palates. The food, oh my goodness the food is SO good. Anytime we go to Indie Alehouse, it is a good and happy night. I don't think we've ever had poor service here, whatever you guys are doing, please keep doing it!“
“A nice pub with great beer and a fantastic atmosphere, though it can get a bit noisy. It’s great that, besides beer, you can grab something to eat and even pick up some small snacks. Toronto could definitely use more places like this—it feels much more relaxed and carefree than a typical pub or bar.“
“great pace to grab some fresh, local beer.“

“Great Ambience, Awesome Food, Great staff!“
“Absolutely great brewhouse and restaurant! I've tried 2 different IPA's and both were great beers. The Juice Island IPA being my preferred choice. Dinner was delicious with a starter of the Caprese Salad and the Brisket Poutine topped with crispy fried onions and pickled red onions. My partner ordered the equally great and somewhat unique Tuna Power Bowl. The Ahi tuna was cooked to perfection, the flavours and ingredient mix was not your typical bowl mix. Great staff, fast service and a nice patio for an enjoyable early evening dinner in Toronto.“

“This fine brewery offers some really nice beers that are brewed fresh on site. Trestle tables encourage patrons to interact with one another as the world flows by on the other side of the large windows looking out onto St. Claire Avenue. On every visit staff have been friendly, warm and welcoming. Although I have yet to try the food the smells wafting from the kitchen are absolutely mouth watering! If you enjoy good beer and good company then this is the place for you. Keep up the great work!“

“We threw a memorial here and it was the perfect space for it. The food, the service, the drinks, access to projector and av system were all excellent. Margaret was super helpful and accommodated all of our requests. Not to mention the pricing was very reasonable compared to all other event spaces we found. Highly recommend throwing your events at high park brewery!“

“We just had our wedding at Granite in September and the day went perfectly. The accommodating and relaxed environment of Granite and the staff just makes for a cozy and intimate environment. The perfect vibe for our wedding! We had 70 people in total and it was perfect. The fact that you can have a quiet garden ceremony, followed by a covered patio cocktail hour, followed by a dinner reception in the back dining room is so ideal. We did a buffet style reception and the food was a big hit, guests are still complimenting it weeks later. Drink service was super attentive. Shout out to Trish who was a familiar and happy face throughout the day. There was nowhere else in Toronto that we could have had this versatility in venue, quality of service, and a central Toronto location for the price. Super reasonable and Sam the GM consistently entertained all of my questions fast and professionally. Their FAQ online is also so helpful and transparent. Thank you Granite team!!!“

“The Amsterdam Brewhouse is located along the Lake Ontario Waterfront at Queen's Quay West. They have a large indoor and outdoor seating area and are open from 11am to late (weekdays) and 10am to late (weekends). Menu features the Amsterdam Brewery label draught beers along with a fairly typical bar food menu. We visited recently during a warm weekend afternoon and were able to be seated immediately. Blonde Lager tasted just fine, artichoke dip was pretty good as well. Prices are a bit high but we found food and drink quality to be fair enough, food portion sizes are good. Venue is quite fun and views of the lake are great. Amsterdam Brewhouse is a fun place, we'd be happy to pop in again during future walks along the waterfront.“

“For beer in our fridge, it's always Left Field. I had run out over the weekend, prior to the game on Tuesday, October 7th 2025...and I sat watching the Blue Jays while sipping on no beer at all. That night the Jays lost 9-6 against the Yankees in the Post Season (Game 3). Wednesday morning I ran out and bought a 12 pack of Birdwatcher. That night the Jays won 5-2 to clinch the series and move forward.
This is just science. Choose Left Field.“
