“My first time here today and was pleasantly surprised to find not only great coffee but a great atmosphere. Finally a place that has a no laptop/tablet policy. I was able to get a seat and enjoy my coffee (great Flat White) without having most of them seated taken up by single laptop users that's had long finished their one coffee over 2 hours ago. “I tried the ham and cheese sandwich. At around $14 including tax, it felt a bit pricey at first, but it was packed with fillings and absolutely satisfying.

Unlike some sandwiches that skimp on greens, this one had plenty of fresh, crisp lettuce—just like in the photo. I also really enjoyed the bold flavor of the pickles, and the bread was soft and easy to eat, not dry at all.“

“I've been here three times now and have always enjoyed the unique menu and presentation of the drinks. While they serve everything from fruit teas to smoothies to coffee, the signature drink is the Tea with Nut Cream. You start by choosing a base beverage (for example Jasmine Green tea) and then choose a nut cream topping. You begin your drink by using a small spoon to scoop the cream and then can blend it into the drink with your straw. In case you need help, there are instructions on your cup that tell you how to best enjoy it.

There's a large variety of flavour options, and it gives you an incentive to mix and match and keep trying new combinations.

Seating is limited to 5 tables so you may have a hard time staying in depending on when you go.

A word of warning about the bathroom. When I went most recently, there were no paper towels or hand dryer. Also, there is a large step down when walking back out into the hallway, and you can lose your balance/get discoordinated if you aren't expecting it.

Overall, this is one of the most innovative bubble tea options in the city, and is well worth your time.“

“I had such a lovely experience at Lamont Café Village! I ordered a cappuccino and pasta with rose sauce — both were delicious. The cappuccino was rich and perfectly frothed, and the pasta had a creamy, flavorful sauce that tasted fresh and homemade. My daughter had the turkey wrap and absolutely loved it — it was light, tasty, and nicely presented. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be coming back!“

“The owner is so nice, and really knowledgeable about Pu-Erh teas. He is patient, and the food he makes is amazing! The prices for the teas and food is reasonable (student budget friendly lmao). I remember when this was at a different location down the street and he had chalkboard menus - updated now and looks awesome. Interior decor is 100% instagramable with the arwork and the wood seating. You gotta come here at least once if you're around here, it's worth it.“

“Stopped by on a whim to order a hot drink. I ended up with a matcha latte and a chocolate pistachio cookie. They really know what they’re doing here! Super impressed with the quality of the beverage and food.
I wasn’t expecting the cookie to be soft and not too sweet (big compliment to the baker). It was actually a Dubai chocolate style cookie with pistachio cream and knaffeh, with a layer of dark chocolate on top.“

“I was pleasantly surprised by the back patio—it’s a hidden gem with a hammock and garden seating that completely blocks out the market noise. The cardamom buns are a must-try, perfectly spiced and not too sweet. The only minor thing is the seating situation; because it’s so popular (and that book wall is an Instagram magnet), finding a table on a weekend can be a real battle. But for the charm and the quality of the brew, I’m willing to wait.“

It’s a family run restaurant, the chef father makes so delicious and juicy bagel&sandwich, the cookies baked by the son are also very impressive 😍😍😍 what is more impressive is the price, All Day Breakfast:a bagel with a coffee , only costs 5.99CAD, 6.77 after tax. Nowadays this price can only buy a cup of coffee in Toronto 😅😅 A bagel alone like that would cost at least 12 CAD!!!! When I firstly saw the ad saying All- Day Breakfast 5.99 on the wall, I thought that must be a scam😂😅 Buz similar meal like that in the campus food trucks are at least twice the price. Then one day I finally tried to walk in Papamio’s, it did cost that less and the boss even gave me a cookie for free as a new client 🤩🤩🤩“

Tucked into St. Clair West in Toronto, this tiny-but-mighty café delivers a distinctly European feel with a soft touch of Greece. The footprint is small, but the execution is thoughtful enough that nothing feels missing. It’s the kind of space that makes you reconsider what “small” can actually do.

When you walk in, there’s a charming little nook to the left — potted plants, a vintage-style table, a mirror that bounces the light just right. Cozy without trying too hard. On the opposite wall (only a few feet away), a slim row of seating (4-5) makes dine-in possible without crowding the space. Every inch feels intentional.

There’s a refrigerated retail section stocked with water, hummus, packaged drinks, and desserts. A small board highlighting local businesses adds a community touch. One of my favourite details? A bicycle mounted along the wall with a wooden plank across the top, cleverly used to hold lids, tissues, and essentials. Functional, but also very aesthetic.

The coffee program is strong. They use beans from De Mello Coffee Roasters, and the classic espresso menu is all there — plus traditional Greek coffee. (Quick tip: drink it while it’s hot; let it sit too long and the grounds rise to the top.) Alternative milk options are plenty — oat, almond, coconut, soy — and their tea selection features premium blends from Sloane Fine Tea Merchants.

The baked goods lean Greek in the best way — spanakopita and tiropita that are flaky, savoury, and genuinely satisfying. On the retail shelf, you’ll find De Mello beans alongside Greek extra virgin olive oil and thyme honey — small details that round out the story.

Café Daki proves you don’t need square footage to create atmosphere. Just intention, warmth, and a very good cup of coffee.“

“This is my go to cafe as an another certain cafe up the street where I live is nothing special. Anyhow, the staff here are friendly and the drinks and food are fresh and made properly. My go to is matcha and only twice has it been made a bit watery, but those two times I have said something and they’ve remade it to perfection. Matcha is tricky. But what I’m wanting to highlight is that their dedication to their customers satisfaction is exceptional - just open your mouth and kindly and politely say something if something is not right with your order. They’ll take care of it for you. The owner is a gem of a human and you can tell the work culture is a positive one. The only feedback I have is that I wish there was more seating, the only comfortable seating (for me) is the tables and chairs but they are usually taken up by people on their laptops; I wish that wasn’t allowed. And their point reward system is not the greatest. Takes forever to accumulate points that are worth using and also especially with them being on the pricier side. But I stand by them and wish they would take over the cafe up the street next to Vivo so they could be closer.“

“I've heard nothing but good things about this cafe on social media, and decided I had to check it out for myself. First of all, the location is amazingly close to UTSG campus. Consequently, it is often very busy during and after school hours. However, the space is large and provides tons of seating options, although I do think students would benefit from an additional table or two to allow writing/drawing, etc.

Onto the food and beverages, we tried three items and all three tasted great! My friend was practically in love with her ube matcha latte, and the brownie did not fall short either! I felt that my iced london fog tasted almost identical to the one I got from Dark Horse Cafe, and I also realized that they sold some of the same pastries!

Overall, I loved spending my weekday morning here before my classes, and I highly recommend this cafe as a study spot for students in Toronto.“

While most croffles are quite expensive, these were decently priced. The service was average and the atmosphere was a little bare, but good for those with an eye for minimalistic designs.
