Homemade gnocchi was delicious and friends that ordered the chicken Marsala also enjoyed their meals. Sebastian was a delightful host. Cozy and warm with delightful jazz standards playing at a reasonable level allowed for easy conversation.“

“The Feast in the Box exceeded my expectations. I had placed a phone order and am I ever glad that I did - that place was slammed which is a testament to their business and the food hall in general. It was ready as soon as I walked in and I was pleasantly surprised when I went to lift the very hefty box. When I got home, I was pleased by the perfectly cooked eggs (runny egg yolks make a great sauce) and the delicious variety in cooked meats. “The food was absolutely amazing. My 3 daughters and I went there for dinner during Summerlicious 2022. We didn't have reaervations and the options were a 1 hour wait to sit inside or be seated right away on the patio. We chose the patio. We were served our drinks and appetizers within 1/2 hour but our main course came about an hour after but it was worth the wait. We will definitely return🍾🎉“

But there is not really any place to sit. It was 5 of us and we had to go to Earl Bales park to find a table for all of us. The counters are 3 people max.

“This is a favourite of ours. My Aunt loves it and we all find the large menu and extensive beverage list to be great. The Scarborough location has kind staff who are friendly and accommodating. We always enjoy our meals and servers. The bartender makes great wine recommendations. I have liked several choices enough to purchase them at the LCBO. Seeing the servers just a bit more often would be nice. The tortilla chips served with the guacamole are always stale (3x in 2 months). Those are just tiny little things. They certainly won't keep us from coming back again and again. Kudos to all the staff!“

Turned out my drink was not ordered by the wait staff. Though I didn’t mind, they should have checked to see if I also wanted my drink to come early or later together with my friends. The presentation of the plates was enticing. My beef tenderloin vermicelli tasted a bit below my expectation however I believed my expectation was too high. “I have been a patron of California Sanwiches for more than 30 years and have been to almost all locations in the GTA. I was sorry to hear the original location downtown Toronto was closing. My daughter reminded of the York Mills location, so when I was leaving downtown Toronto, I decided to go! Veal sandwich, hot olives and a Brio! What a joy to eat!“

“That's the first time that I ordered a pizza from Pizza Pizza with thicker bread, and we love it. I ordered half ground beef and half butter chicken on a large pizza. It costs $20 for 2 people, which was enough. Beef was better. Butter chicken had a spice that wasn't to our taste.“
