“Been looking for an alternative go to after the decline of kinton ramen…. I have found it, and it is Ajisen! I got the spicy vegan miso in the beyond meat ramen, and it was absolutely delicious, and i can confidently say that I will be back very soon. I love how customizable the ramen bowls are and how many soups you can pick. Having proper vegan options is extremely important and this is the only ramen place that does it that i have found. Also the service was excellent as well! I went on a monday afternoon and it was quiet.“

“Loved this place, came with my family and the service was amazing . The food was to die for. And they honestly were really amazing with my kids. I know it’s hard to take your family out sometimes and sometimes you share what you all have. But how they treated us so amazing with sharing the meal with my family of 4, and we only ordered 2 meals. And the waitress was so amazing because my kids really wanted tot try the ice cream but it wasn’t in the budget… but she saw how bad they wanted it and gave it to them on the house. I’m telling you now I will be coming here a lot more.“

“Grabbed a late lunch here on Saturday around 2pm and the place was still buzzing, which says something about the food. Went with the Kinton Ramen classic and the tare was rich without being heavy, plus the chashu was perfectly soft, not chewy at all. Staff kept the pace moving even with a line out the door, checking in without hovering, which I appreciate after eating at way too many ramen spots on the road. Seating was tighter than I expected given the crowd, but the open kitchen setup gave the whole space a nice energy that made the wait worth it.“

“Absolutely delicious! The shoyu broth was incredibly flavorful without being overly heavy, the chicken was tender and moist, and the ramen egg was perfect. Every bite tasted fresh and carefully prepared. The staff were also incredibly accommodating and happy to customize my order, which I really appreciated. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Markham!“

“The ramen was decent in cost, size and value of meal, and over all taste. My well portioned for one bowl was $20 with pick up tip.
They should be a bit quicker to make food if it’s a pick up order, but food is fresh and tasty.

It’s very clean and the service is good enough. It’s actually a great place to stop in and get good value ramen on a whim or random night. On that scale it’s a 4/5“

“My bf ordered the curry katsu and was disappointed with the sauce he got. We both tasted it and it was sweet. It almost tasted like a sweet rose sauce or a Filipino spaghetti sauce. Definitely didn’t taste like curry at all. They portions of the chicken katsu was very generous and overall sides and all were tasty. It was just the sauce that didn’t stay on par to what we expected.“

“Had a great experience at Kinton Ramen! I ordered the Spicy Veggie Garlic Ramen, and it was delicious—rich, flavorful, and with just the right amount of spice. “The staff are very polite, and the chef in the back are very quick. I put some new items on the menu and the Ramen is as good as it’s always been. I recommend the softshell crab as an appetizer, It’s in high demand so it’s usually sold out.“

“Honestly… I was completely shocked when I tried gimbap from Menkatsu for the first time. I’m not the type of person who eats “basic” kimbap. I always go for spicy pork or tuna gimbap, something with flavor. I never choose the regular one because I think it’s too blend for my preference.

But one day I saw someone eating the basic gimbap at the food court, and it just looked so good. Even the smell was amazing. So I ordered it just to try… and WOW.

I’m not exaggerating, it was insane. I’ve never had a basic gimbap that good in my life. From that day, I kept thinking about it. Even after a rough day, I’d find myself wanting that gimbap and nothing else.

So whenever I had time, I would literally drive 25 minutes one way just to buy it. But one day, I went there and… they told me they don’t make gimbap anymore. I was honestly extremely heartbroken. They said it was because not enough people were buying it, but… I was really shocked and so sad.
If I had never tasted it, maybe I wouldn’t care. But now that I know how good it was, I can’t stop thinking about it. And I can’t find that taste anywhere else.

I truly hope the owner will reconsider. That basic kimbap was really something special. I sincerely hope it comes back.

차라리 그 김밥 맛을 모르고 살았으면 덜 힘들었을 텐데 그 맛을 알아버려서 더 미치겠는 거예요. 어디에서도 그 맛을 찾을 수가 없어요.

혹시라도 사장님이 다시 한 번 reconsider 해주셨으면 좋겠어요. Menkatsu 에서 파는 김밥은 진짜 특별했어요ㅠㅠ 다시 돌아오길 진심으로 바랍니다. 젭알요,,“
