We used to drive out to Burlington to find decent Sushi but have been going here now for many years and it has never disappointed. If you live in Waterdown/Flamborough and like Sushi give Sushi Ya a shot.“

“Went here for dinner last night with my family and everything was great. Best ramen around, unpretentious just a great bowl of ramen with plenty of toppings, flavourful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The place was easy going, staff was attentive and quick. Kinda felt like stumbling into a random mom and pop shop in Japan, was great for me. Also got Pork Katsu and Curry, and Omurice. All the dishes were really good. Eating leftovers now and remembering I should leave a good review. Will be back for sure.“

“I don't have sushi often, but this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The flavours are saucy and exquisitely blended, creating a sensation that left me craving more. The place has some bright and appealing visual with great service, that's a huge bonus for the dining experience. Vegetarian options: There were some veggie options, probably 5 or so with cucumber, carrot, avocado and some spicy variations. All look and probably taste great“

“An amazing dining experience, getting to watch the chefs, handcraft everything in front of you then tasting how it melts in your mouth. Everything was delicious nothing disappointed the Gyoza is an amazing pick if you want to fill up fast. While, the meatballs are so hot and steamy. Sashimi is so fresh. Every bite of sushi was just perfect. Will most definitely be here again.“

“Stopped in here, craving a Won Ton soup, didn’t realize they made it here. They have a small size and a regular size. Had 1 small Won Ton soup, took a bit to prepare and the servers were nice of them to tell me to sit down (while they got it prepared) When the soup was ready, I picked it up at the counter. The soup was very good, nice and hot, with small wonton noodles (with a meat filling) tasted like a seasoned pork. Soup had pieces of broccoli throughout it, and broth was a bit salty (but tolerable) could taste the spices, ginger root and garlic added in. Tasty broth, I added pepper for taste no soya sauce. The larger dishes look good also, but they have rices, spring rolls, teriyaki dishes. I’ll have to try, cooked right in front of you (with fresh ingredients) and placed steaming hot into the container (all ready to eat in food court or take home).“

“I take a 30min+ bus ride to this mall just to come to Mac's. Their avocado sushi is amazing! Nice big slices, avocado is not over or under ripe. Serving sizes are nice and big: their grab and go bar gives you 2 rolls worth. Seaweed salad was also incredible and a nice big portion size.“

“My son took me for a surprise, better late than never Mother's day dinner. It was my 1st time eating at Joya Sushi and it was wonderful! The food fairly priced, fresh, delicious, large portions, and beautifully presented. The service was great. Our server was very pleasant and friendly. What a lovely place to dine! “Dishes come at such different times for a table of 5. Food was okay. Price was okay. Not the biggest fan of the sushi. Rolls are very large and a lot of rice. Took them a good 45 min for fried rice. Asking questions about the menu, servers seemed annoyed. One of the servers was getting touched up and down by the girls sitting behind, extremely loud and obnoxious. A lot of side dishes.“

“Ventured to GTA west yesterday to buy something off of FB Marketplace and decided to see what Burlington had to offer by way of Asian food. We thoroughly enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner at Sakai. We arrived at 4:30pm - optimal time before the dinner rush! We dined Omakase-style and were greeted by dish after dish of deliciousness. We began with tuna tataki, kalbi, and steak tartar - great balance of flavours, textures, and temperatures. It wasn’t until we got to the sushi that I had the presence of mind to snap some photos - pulled out my phone because I was impressed by the details and presentation. Sadly, I didn’t snap a pic of our Hokkaido scallops or ebi (shrimp). Best I’ve ever had. I would have taken more pics but my usually-fussy about food 17-year old was actually impatient to get to each next bite. That alone speaks for itself! We finished our meal with crème brûlée - delicate and just the perfect amount of sweet. Thanks to John and his family, and amazing team for a meal to remember.“
