“Been around here a fair bit, pretty tasty pho overall with really rich broth! Their barbecue meats on rice are solid as well. I would say the meat portions in the pho can be a little inconsistent though (note: the pictured bowl has extra meat, which is more than plenty). I'd recommend the flank cut over the rare beef here—I've sometimes found bits of chewy tendon and fat in the latter, but the flank has always been good. The shop itself looks modern but is very cozy, and the staff are friendly.“

“Very tasty and delicious? just the only unfortunate thing was the beef was chewy here and there. I probably wouldn’t order the beef for that reason. But I would definitely come back and have the chicken fish and pork options.

“This is definitely one of the favourite restaurants in Waterloo. It serves Viet-Thai food. There is a wide selection of dishes and drinks. Try the avocado shake! The service is quick and friendly, but you'll need reservations most lunches and dinners. They also are popular for take-away.“

“I drive all the way from Guelph just to get food from here. Everything I've had so far is delicious, fresh and affordable. I would recommend ordering by phone before you show up though, they are usually busy and everything is made to order.“

“It was nostalgic to come here since my family has been to the original one in downtown for many years. The interiors are bright and the restaurant is busy for lunch.

They offer your standard fixings for Vietnamese restaurant with a little bit of everything. Right now they are serving a complimentary tea with a hint of pandan flavour.

Unfortunately my dish (hu tieu my tho) did not look like the photo in the menu with the same toppings which was a bit disappointing. This dish used to come with a prawn cracker when the restaurant first opened but I understand it's not easy for restaurants nowadays.

“Pho Tran is where my husband took me on our first date and we have been hooked on it ever since. The staff is always so friendly and their food speaks for itself. From the delicious Pho to the Drunken Noodles and my husbands favorite Chicken in Black Nean sauce is top notch. Highly reccomend this restaurant“

“Ok so this restaurant surprised me. I ate a lot of Pho and was worried the rare beef was going to be like most places chewy and not good. Fortunately, it was really good tender and not chewy. The only comment that would make is that the price if it was a little less because all of this is super some rice noodle and a local sesame beef thatm would have been a lot happier for a large paying $16. It should be probably more priced around 14. Service they could be more attentive I had questions and she didn't come to check at all. And wise of all she came to us with ear pods in her ears and didn't seem to care.“

“Spectacular Pho. Incredibly nice staff, and I love the look of the place. The chairs were very comfortable.

Portions for pho are huge. All the ingredients and sides that come with it, like beqn sprouts and Tai Basil, were nice and fresh. I highly recommend the Taro Boba as well. I will definitely be back here.“

“Saturday aft and it was packed but didn't have to wait.
Service was top notch. They are friendly and keep coming to ask if you need something, if you like thr food. It was pretty fast too.
Ordered mango salad with shrimps, minced shrimp on sugar cane, beef bermicelli and a thai coconut soup with chicken.
Everything was delicious. Loved the soup specially. The minced shrimp was the only thing we didn't care for.
We ordered more of the free tea and they happily brought more!“

“Had heard about this place for years and decided to try it on New Year's Day... what was likely one of their busiest days of the year. Ordered by phone. Food was ready quickly. An accidental omission not noticed until I got home was immediately remedied when I went back, without issue. This food is so fresh and good. So often you feel gross after a Chinese food takeout dinner being overly greasy and salty. NOT THIS PLACE. It was SO SO good. Will now be our #1 choice for takeout. Also... their sweet and sour sauce totally lives up to the hype! They clearly care about making good food and having good relations with their customers. *100 stars *“
