The self-serve setup lets you go as light or as dangerous as you want, and I clearly chose the dangerous route. Yes, it’s not cheap when it’s jam packed, but the quality and customization make it worth it and you can add less if you’re not trying to spend too much. “The Best Ham Sandwich. Recently I had to drive down to Montreal to help a family member. I didn't want to stop along the way so I stopped at Ma Maison to stock up on food for the road. I bought a ham sandwich and some wonderful pastries. I think it may have been the best ham sandwich I ever had. The bread was both crispy and soft. The ham, that perfect mix of salty and sweet, the lettuce and tomato and mustard just made it amazing. When I trained as a chef, the chef who trained me said "Do the simple things with care and attention, this will let people know the quality of your work." On top of the quality, the customer service was super friendly and accommodating.
