“First time visiting this cute ice cream shop. I had come in to get a taste of their strawberry ice cream: there’s something about using real Ontario-grown strawberries in ice cream that appeals to me.

It blew me away and I returned 10 minutes later to ask for a coveted take-home pint…but was so sad to hear that none were available. The gentleman who served me both times is the sweetest and ended up scoping one last pint of the strawberry ice cream, which sat alone in the freezer. It was my lucky day and I nabbed that pint!

If you want tasty, handmade ice cream made with real ingredients served by wonderful people, this place is the place to be! I will be returning to try their other flavors :)“

My absolute favourite is the Biscoff and Golden Oreo. SO good!! 🤤 But they have tons of different and creative flavours, so there’s always something new to try.

The owners are also amazing and kind -

“It was my first visit to Scooped and I was very glad I went here! We decided to go here after lunch at El Catrin. There are numerous flavors of Ice Cream, but I decided on the Guava Cheesecake. I met your employee, Sepideh, at the mall shop. She is an attractive lady, and I found her to be very pleasant as well. I do have a “sweet tooth” and a particular fondness for vanilla ice cream. As I recall, there is an ice cream shop adjacent to or near the entrance where there is a Starbucks; however, I would go to the little booth where Sepideh worked instead because it felt more personal, and she would always give healthy tips while serving.

Although I like ice cream, I don’t want to feel like I’m just another number in the queue. Sepideh makes her customers feel appreciated, and that’s what I liked about her service.

I have been a businessman for most of my life and have employed hundreds of people, so I may be a bit biased in recognizing the value of her service from an employer’s perspective.

“I first went to the Village Chill when I was four years old. Despite the dozens of ice cream shops which have opened up in the Cedarvale-Forest Hill areas, I keep coming back here. Each of their flavours are personal and unique. This is not your average ice cream experience. It is a tiny shop with a big heart.“

The ice cream itself though was delicious! Got the peaches and cream and the taste did not disappoint. It tasted like actual peach not that artificial fruit taste and the ice cream itself was creamy, as expected from an ice cream shop. The price is also pretty on par with other independent ice cream parlours.
My only ‘complaint’ is that it’s a small space but otherwise definitely going again.“
