“My son can talk me into anything and a cup of gourmet ice cream is no exception. What a cute little spot this place is! The prices are quite bougie so don't come here if you aren't expecting to pay a little extra. But if you do, prepare to be delighted. First of all, the aroma's are delightful and the display of colours and topping and syrups are a treat for the eyes - how pretty. The cafe is very clean and inviting and the service topped the whole experience off. Thanks all - we will be back. “This is my son’s favourite ice cream store and by far the best ice cream store I’ve also went to!
The ice cream is so good here as they make a lot of different varieties which you can try from!
Not to mention the unique way they execute this kind of ice cream by rolling it up with detail and gentleness.
The interior and exterior of this place is really nice and it definitely seems like they put some real effort into making this place.
Now let’s talk about customer service, their staff is really nice and definitely knows what they’re doing, they really seem to care about the comfort when you dine in, fresh and cold!

Service is fast! The server is very nice, welcoming, and I like how he’s being patient with other customers who cannot decide what to other yet.

As you can see from the photos, ambience is nice. Place is always clean, well-lit, quiet and relaxing. I like this Smoothie place!!!!

“Came here for the pistachio waffles and left with the best waffles, a rich thick shake, and a decent ice cream.

The rajbhog thick shake felt like a crossover between a paan and a falooda - very interesting flavours that grew on me with each spoon/sip. The mawa kulfi ice cream was okay.

The pistachio waffles were so great. The presentation just felt a bit hard to wrap my head around since I ended up spilling a bit of the ice cream. But it still made for a great dish! The combo with pistachio waffles and the classic vanilla ice cream went super well together.

“Small independent owned ice cream shop under 5 minute walk from Lansdowne subway station and bloor go station.

Ice cream pints are 14.99 for the smaller tub. I liked the cookie with seasalt, the Hawaiian treat wasn't for me but it's always fun to try new treats.

Had 2 different scoop, one passion fruit ice cream and one cinnamon toast crunch. Friend had the miso butterscotch

This is my second visit, first time I believe I had banoffee pie and a second flavour, can't remember. Always a good time at ruru.

Went there today, and the hours matched the time, ther staff member was warm and welcoming, and took the time to explain the updated hours going forward. Service was excellent and the ice cream... well what can I say... they have the best tasting ice cream in the city!

To my surprise....the sign and Google search day "open"... yet I came in traffic and paid for parking... only to be at a "closed" establishment. Disappointed...indeed..“

“Delicious ice cream with a wide variety of unique and interesting flavours. Got the chrysanthemum, vegan chè ba màu and Kinako brown sugar and they were all yummy. Really enjoyed the texture of all the ice creams, the vegan one was just as good as the other two.
Would’ve liked to sample some (such as everything bagel) before buying a full scoop but they do not provide samples. The bowl provided also had a strong cardboard scent (like an egg carton). Great that it was eco-friendly but the smell was not very pleasant.

I like to put on the scale like this, DQ’s is a soft cream ice cream, they should charge like a dollar for their ice cream, but instead it’s like $4 to $5 at this time. Baskin Robins has the best cost/benefit of all. Pretty tasty ice cream and comparing to DQ’s, it’s the same price to have a real ice cream. But now, when it comes to real deal artesanal extremely flavourful and creamy ice cream, flavours nowhere else makes it and have the advantage to take a pint to go without taxes, it totally worth it to come to this one! “Tried this place on a whim after we had a craving for Italian food and were not disappointed!
The standouts are the sake rose (creamy, umami) and the bo kho bolognese (great pairing of Vietnamese beef with the tomato sauce). The duck breast green curry’s flavours worked well together, but I think it should have double the amount of meat for the dish.
The orders didn’t take long to make, about 10-15 minutes from time of ordering from the touch display.

“First time visiting Gemma Gelato St Clair W on aft Aug 30, 2024 during a walk-by. Popped in, server was very friendly. Pleasantly surprised to have experienced the most outstanding gelato (dark chocolate), I've ever had. Single serving at $5.65 incl tx was a solid scoop on a standard cone (dbl scoop approx $2 more). Great value and best of all, gelato kept super cold, not soft mushy melty stuff you walk away with at some places. Definitely returning to try every single other flavour!!“

“Just dropped by in this area for icecream i used to work at baskin robbins a year ago. This place was nice the employees were super nice and they gave big scoops or icecream for a cheap price. All the other places are so much more expensive“

“For those who enjoy good gelato options and very well-made gelatos, Gemma is a great option to visit. The gelateria is located close to several shops, banks, bus stops and between Dansville and Eglinton stations.

For those arriving by car, there is a paid parking lot in front of the establishment, as well as other points on Avenida Younge.

The store offers excellent accessibility for customers with disabilities and limited mobility: access ramp, automatic door opening, seats that fit wheelchairs (unfortunately, they do not have a menu in Braille, but the attendants are always ready to help).

The gelatos are extremely tasty and very well served. The service is great, and you also have the option of taking some home and not just eating it locally.

For those with dogs, pets are allowed in the outdoor area. It is definitely worth checking out.“
