“I brought my buddy here to try Somali food for the first time and we had a wonderful experience! Even though we showed up towards the end of the night, the server was warm, friendly, and patient in helping us decide what to eat. The hot sauce was outrageously good and can't say enough good things about the steak. Fairly priced and great quality. Tip of the cap to the chef!“

“Ordered their egusi and pounded yam on doordash, food is great in terms of taste and it was fresh. I’m giving them a 3 cos they are too pricey it’s actually ridiculous!
I also paid for extra pounded yam but didn’t get it (probably missed it though but i’m pained cos i paid for it and it’s expensive)
UPDATE- you actually pay extra if it’s pounded yam, so i didn’t pay for extra pounded yam, my bad. Now updating to a 4 since the price is the major issue.“

“I have been going to ID love for some time now. One thing I can tell you is that the food is phenomenal! We ordered nwkobi, jollof rice, plantain and fried yam and it was delicious! We met the owner who was kind and interactive. The only thing I would change is the lighting as the restaurant is dimly lit and it's a bit difficult to see your food. Also some background music would be ideal as well. Overall, food was amazing.“

“First time trying Somali food and was pleasantly surprised. They didn’t have the lamb which was a bummer but the goat was still good. Large portion size with salad / soup and a juice. Restaurant is clean and inviting, give it a go if you’re looking for something new.“

“We came here right before the Blue Jays game and we were able to get seated right away! The owner was so thoughtful and gave us some good recommendations. He even brought my friend soup with his fufu as it’s how traditionally eaten! The food was so flavorful and filling and they even had vegetarian/vegan options! Highly recommend next time you’re in the area!“

“Greelz on Bloor is more than amazing...it is fantastic. I ordered the beef suya joloff bowl and it was delicious, the flavour is flavourful.....literally a fusion in my mouth with every bite. I also ordered a side of plantine as well, the plantine was ripe and soft...just the way I like it.
The customer service was superb! Chef Tee and his team were very nice. And the beautiful lady who served me was very hospitable.
I came all the way from Mississauga Ontario, it was worth the trip, and it was also worth the price. Greelz is hands down the best Nigerian food restaurant in Toronto and in the GTA!“

“This was my first time trying Nigerian cuisine and I was blown away by the delicious food! Service was super friendly and accommodating as well. We started with the chicken wings tossed in hot honey with yaaji spice (ginger peanut bbq rub) -super crisp and juicy! We ordered spicy which was the perfect balance of heat and flavor. My favorite dish was the egusi and greens! My Nigerian friend ordered the pounded yam for me to eat the soup with. It’s like a thicker mashed potato, fresh and an excellent compliment to the savory soup! The soup was chock full of chicken and seasonings I couldn’t quite place, bold and savory flavor! We also ordered the cauliflower in a peanut sauce-perfectly fried and great to eat with the wings! My partner ordered the party jollof rice-delicious almost barbaque flavored rice layered with flavors of a seafood and sweet spice stock 😋 And the slow and plantains were the perfect accompaniments! I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious food with lots of heart poured into it.“

“I'm a Caribbean girl, I can't remember if I've ever had Nigerian food. However, I kept seeing pepper soup on my Pinterest and as an avid Nigerian movie fan I was motivated to try it. I had no clue what to expect but It looked so good online I had to find it . I searched a Nigerian restaurant near me and found this hidden gem and guess what ? They had pepper soup with assorted meat. Anyways I ordered some pepper soup and let me tell you that I am in loveeeeeeeeee!! Don't get me wrong it's so spicy and I couldn't finish it in a day but I loved every bit of it. I haven't tried the other dishes but I'll recommend the pepper soup over and over again.“

“This is the third Nigerian restaurant I’ve tried for egusi soup, and it’s definitely the best one so far. The egusi wasn’t too oily and had really great flavour. I liked the slight tomato base, and there was no fishy taste at all, which I appreciated. The poundo was also a perfect texture and went really well with the egusi.
I ordered it with chicken, and the pieces were huge which was great but they did take up most of the container. I would’ve liked a bit more egusi because of that.
The only thing I’d say is it could’ve used alot more spice/pepper but that might be on me for not asking. If it had a little more heat, it would’ve easily been a 10/10. Price point is great ! 25$ before tax on uber not including fees“

“Honestly this food was so good I will be buying weekly in large quantities😍! And they actually give you meat and portions. Will order again. I would say it does take time but the food it so fresh the meat is tender I would say 10/10 and worth the wait. I just wish they had more soft drink options online“

“I had heard great things about Jikoni Grill, and they absolutely lived up to the reviews.
I was really missing my late Mom's cooking and decided to give them a try. I ordered the masala fish, daal, chicken curry with rice, and chicken samosas.
Every dish was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. The food was so comforting that it brought back wonderful memories of my Mom's home cooking—a feeling that's hard to find.
The service was warm and welcoming, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.
Thank you, Jikoni Grill, for such a memorable meal.
You've definitely gained a loyal customer, and I look forward to coming back again and again.“
