“To be honest, I have never experienced anything like this before.

I had no intention of leaving a negative review, because the issue was already addressed that same evening. The restaurant apologized, accepted responsibility, and we considered the matter resolved.

Throughout the entire situation, we remained polite. We did not swear, insult anyone, or cause a scene. We simply raised our concerns respectfully after waiting an extremely long time for our food, while some people at our table had already finished eating and others still had not received their meals. In restaurant service, that is a major issue. What made it worse was that no staff member came to explain the delay or provide any updates.

What I find disappointing is that three of you used three separate Google accounts to respond to my review and indirectly identify me by mentioning our table number and even commenting on my local accent, calling me low EQ. Then you claim that you were not referring to me specifically.

I understand that you gave the restaurant 5-star reviews because you had a positive experience, or part of their promotion( 5 stars review for a free dish) and that is completely your right. However, by repeatedly targeting me in your responses, you have only encouraged me to leave more than one review. Our group had nine people — if I wanted to, there could have been nine reviews instead of one.

Arguing back and forth through Google Reviews is not helping the restaurant. If you would like an unbiased public discussion, feel free to post the situation on Facebook and I will gladly respond there.

If these personal attacks continue after this review, I will also make a Facebook post about the situation. I do not believe that would be beneficial for the restaurant, and I would prefer not to take it that far.

I sincerely hope this is where the discussion ends. This was originally a private matter between me and the restaurant, it was addressed, and I believed it had already been resolved.“

“Went for dinner last night before going to a show. The menu was a bit out of our normal experiences but we wanted a different experience. Or booth was comfortable. Jason answered all of our questions, no matter how silly they probably were for him. He was engaging but not over the top - very likeable. We tried four of the spicy dishes and they were all exceptional! We did not try the skewers, which we now regret, but we will go back to do that for sure. What a great dinner experience! Thank you, Jason, and your team. We even enjoyed seeing your take-out container in action 😉.“

“Overall, food was yummy. Fried rice, duck, scallops ceviche was exceptional. The charsiu bun was also very yummy. Only thing is, a lot of the food was very salty. Dessert was NOT good in my opinion. Would not eat again. Not sure if it was just that day, but we were sipping on our drinks often“

Compared to other places, little less parking spot but that's not a big deal, all over its a nice little great restaurant. We specifically surprised by how only one Cashier could handle the service + cashier job everything nicely. They have good Thai & Viet food choices and their taste also very good according to my wife who is Chinese Vietnamese. We had a wonderful dining experience here! “I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Sparkly Restaurant, a Japanese-Thai all-you-can-eat spot, thanks to a thoughtful gift certificate from one of my coworkers, a nurse at the hospital. It was my first time trying this place, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of dishes that were fresh and full of flavor. The sushi was beautifully presented, the Thai curries were perfectly spiced, and the appetizers were a great start to the meal. “Been frequenting here multiple times since the past 3 years whenever I happen to be in Chinatown. Big fan of their mango sticky rice with sago and icecream combo, which for the price, is their big seller. From my experience it's enough for 3 people to share with. Mango sago is pretty appetizing as well if you're a mango fan as well.
Their iced milk teas are served in generous portions in fancy tiki style glasses. They come with a lot of ice and sweetness by default, atleast for my liking, so make sure to ask them to serve the drinks with less ice and sugar as required.
Altogether I believe they're an underrated spot in Chinatown, especially for their desserts. I'll check them out again for their other menu offerings.“

“The bulgogi beef club is a 10/10. Just be aware they may not be opened the exact hours of their google listing because once I went at 3:15pm and it was closed when it said open until 4pm on google maps. If you can bypass the unpredictable hours. The sandwich is a serious 10/10“

“I went on a quiet Monday evening and I got their $1 beer and a sushi roll. The sushi was so soft and tender and delicious. They offer complementary tea which was good too.
I think they are doing a good job trying to recover their reputation after a bad period (maybe mismanagement?). The server was very gracious to me and my friends.“

“Honestly… I was completely shocked when I tried gimbap from Menkatsu for the first time. I’m not the type of person who eats “basic” kimbap. I always go for spicy pork or tuna gimbap, something with flavor. I never choose the regular one because I think it’s too blend for my preference.

But one day I saw someone eating the basic gimbap at the food court, and it just looked so good. Even the smell was amazing. So I ordered it just to try… and WOW.

I’m not exaggerating, it was insane. I’ve never had a basic gimbap that good in my life. From that day, I kept thinking about it. Even after a rough day, I’d find myself wanting that gimbap and nothing else.

So whenever I had time, I would literally drive 25 minutes one way just to buy it. But one day, I went there and… they told me they don’t make gimbap anymore. I was honestly extremely heartbroken. They said it was because not enough people were buying it, but… I was really shocked and so sad.
If I had never tasted it, maybe I wouldn’t care. But now that I know how good it was, I can’t stop thinking about it. And I can’t find that taste anywhere else.

I truly hope the owner will reconsider. That basic kimbap was really something special. I sincerely hope it comes back.

차라리 그 김밥 맛을 모르고 살았으면 덜 힘들었을 텐데 그 맛을 알아버려서 더 미치겠는 거예요. 어디에서도 그 맛을 찾을 수가 없어요.
