“Went for breakfast, we ordered the Classic breakfast and a turkey bagel. Love the Turkish bagels, all the spreads, it was perfect to have a little bit of everything, some salty some sweet. Staff were super friendly and explained the items included in the Classic we were not familiar with. They have a huge assortment of bakery items to choose from as well, hard not to admire all the options when you enter 😉 didnt get to try any this time around, but hopefully next time. “A nice, small spot tucked away in a food court near Yonge-Sheppard. They serve desserts, sandwiches, and some interesting beverages that I have yet to try. I'm definitely coming back for the drinks, but I would highly recommend the flavoured creme brulees. I got the earl grey and matcha creme brulees to share with a friend. The sugar on top was nice and caramelized, and the bitter matcha really came through in the creme brulee. Seating is likely going to be limited should you come here during the day, but the shopping centre Soul Made is located at is fairly quiet and empty in the evenings.“

Barbershop seems to be known for its Lemon Bichon and this AMAZING cake, but man the sausage rolls, the almond croissants, the apple turnovers, etc are all amazing as well. “The baklava is nice and super flaky which is sort of rare nowadays. Ingredients seemed high quality and fresh. If the bottom piece of the baklava was a touch less sweet, it would be perfect. The trilece was delicious, had balanced sweetness and the glazed top layer was amazing. It had an interesting and slightly different taste that you dont encounter often (in a good way). Guy that runs it is super nice and personable. Dont expect super low prices though, these pastries are quality. Would return 100%.“

“All the cakes looked astonishing and attempting. While I was purchasing, the service was super. They were patiently waiting for me to order and nicely providing me with suggestions and services. The taste of the cake was also amazing. Trying Fraisier and La Paix while I’m writing this review, Fraisier (the fruit one) has a strong taste and the fruits are fresh and juicy, La Paix (the lemon one) has multiple layers of texture and the lemon pieces on the top tastes spiral and I loved it.“

“We had an emergency and needed a cake that was made elsewhere to be fixed. Luckily they helped us fix it and made it look brand new again like nothing happened and even added a new layer cake in the bottom within 40 minutes. We were very impressed and so grateful to them. Thank you again! 🙏❤️“

“Absolutely must try breakfast and coffee spot. The breakfast sandwiches will change your life. Forget Starbucks - or any other coffee or pastery place, once you eat anything here your going to be mad you wasted money anywhere else. The food is rich, melt in your mouth fresh and will sell out if you wait too long!! Also, personally as an Italian who loves his espresso, the pull here is nothing short of amazing and if socially accepted I’d eat just that pistachio paste on its own like Nutella from a jar 😅“

After we moved to Canada, it was very difficult to find a good coffee shop (Tim Hortons and Starbucks don't really count as coffee in my opinion), so this place has become our favorite. “A hidden gem in the plaza beside Longos. I ordered a custom cake and called Julia twice with some specific requests. She truly delivered and did a FANTASTIC job!! The price was also extremely reasonable - a tall 8” cake topped with four macarons came up to $55. It was moist, decadent, and not too sweet. If I was to be very picky, I would request the hazelnut in the buttercream to be crushed into smaller pieces and caution the pistachio and mocha flavours in the macarons were not prominent. Still, a solid 5/5 and I will order here again. Thank you for the special cake for a special person :)“

“We visited Chocolada for the first time and had such a wonderful experience! As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, and to our surprise, they gave us a free box of pastries such a kind gesture!

The pastries were absolutely delicious. Even though it’s been almost a week and we’ve been enjoying them little by little, they’re still fresh and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite.

The shop itself is clean, cozy, and has a really positive atmosphere. We truly felt welcomed and appreciated as customers.

“This place has an INCREDIBLE variety of delicious pastries. I usually come in for iced coffee before work but there wasn’t any available a few times over the last week. It’s also very overpriced so i will start trying to bring some from home instead.“

“I finally had the chance to visit Bomou with my fam and it was a lovely experience from start to finish! We had the lemon meringue tart, bostock (brioche with almonds and flavoured with orange), apple caramel cookies, butter croissant, a piece of pie, a baguette, and an earl grey canele. To drink we had the coffee, an oat milk cappuccino, and the lavender lemonade! We also bought some of the loose leaf mint tea as a gift. Everyone adored what they ordered! All of the pastries were beautiful to the eye and wonderful on the palate! Flavours such as the orange in the bostock, the lemon in the tart and even the earl grey in the canele were fragrant and gentle, never overpowering or overwhelming! Beautiful texture to all the foods and even the drinks were impressive and expertly crafted! Their coffee is some of the very very best I have had in Canada. (Rich and velvety, non-astringent and not-sharp.) If you want a proper cup of coffee you’ll find it here!!! Their lavender lemonade is gorgeous! I love lavender and found this to be a delicate and refreshing combination and recommend you definitely try it out!!! (Plus the bottle is lovely!) We all were impressed with the helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff and were amazed by the talent and creativity of their baker/chef! Thank you Boumou for a delicious experience!!!!!“
