“Unique. Elevated. Elegant. Comprehensive. Exceptional. Running out of adjectives to describe this experience. If I could give 10 stars, I would! Wine tasting like no other.
Since we arrived, we knew this was going to be different to any other tasting. Jeffrey was standing by the main entrance of the building, just waiting for us as we drive in. From his greeting everything was absolutely perfectly planned and executed. The building is very unique: all in black wood, dark and elegant. Once in the bodega, we are taken to one of the five private rooms where we had our tasting. Delicious appetizers were served as we tasted over 8 wines, both from Antica Terra and from other wineries all over the world including California, as well as France, Slovenia and Italy. This is genius. Not only you get to taste amazing wines but also they showed how good they are to compare and even be better than some of those wines. The tasting took about 2 hours, not rushed and well paced. Jeffrey addressed our questions with kindness and tons of knowledge. He was engaging and kept us distinctly focused on the experience and what we were tasting.
When we thought this was absolutely the best experience ever, we were taken to the second part of the experience: dinner in the woods. They took us up the hill, stopped by one of their lots to see the actual vineyards before getting to a 200 ft long, curved table where we were getting dinner al fresco. Chef Scott was meticulously preparing a full dinner paired with more amazing wines. The service continues to be superb, the food espectacular and the overall experience was unique and exceptional.
No other tasting experience gets close to this. It is so unique and well planned and executed that seem like it is not possible. But it is!
