“Omg you just have to go there. After a couple traditional wineries we stumbled into this place. It was a fantastic treat. I recommend making reservations and bringing some friends. You will not be disappointed. You will be welcomed into a super comfortable setting. It’s almost like enjoying a glass of wine at home- if home is trendy, decorated will both class and humor and a friendly knowledge person is there to serve you delicious but unpretentious wine.“
“Decided to stop at this winery to do a tasting happy they are dog friendly and we were able to take both the pups inside. Grounds are lovely and flowers were beautiful. Wine flight was delicious 😋 and happily purchased some to take home. The server was very pleasant and helpful with describing various wines and areas grapes 🍇 were grown.“
“The Venue
From the moment you arrive, the panoramic views of the Willamette Valley take your breath away. Perched high in the Dundee Hills, the tasting room offers a sophisticated, rustic atmosphere that remains warm and inviting. The windows are seemingly endless so the interior is never lacking in views. Nevertheless, there is a very pleasant terrace should you want to be outside.
The Wines
The quality here is undeniable. Knudsen is legendary for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and the tasting flight beautifully showcases their commitment to elegance and terroir. Each pour was balanced, expressive, and truly reflective of the high-elevation site. Jeff did an amazing job explaining the wines and showing us exactly where they came from.
The Ruling
We were impressed by the majority of the wines we sampled. As is always the case - everyone’s palate is different, but if you don’t find something to suit you here, you probably won’t find it anywhere else.“
“Did a tasting here a week or so on a cold and wet Thursday in the off season. I’m in the trade, so it was nice to be able to talk with Ken and to get to know more about the winery so that I can add them to my schedule for clients in 2022 (I’m a Wine Guide & Driver for a Portland based company). They wines here are very nice and reasonably priced and the view is spectacular (and will be even more so next spring & summer). If you are wine tasting in Dundee and want a great experience, make Winderlea a must see & tasting stop!

“As a part of my Sperm Donation World Tour of the USA, I came here as my first winery in Oregon and it was brilliant. Joseph was amazing very uplifting and vibrant personality took me through a flight of wines. I amc not a fan of SB but its every where in Australia and New Zealand. So gotta say this is probably the best one I have tried in thr States to date. Liked the Pinot Noir range also.“
“We just returned from a fantastic tasting experience at Trisaetum. While the wines were excellent as was the setting, what really made it an experience to remember was the hospitality we received from Alice. We have done our fair share of winery tastings over the years and the ones that end up being memorable are the ones where the hospitality is on par with, if not exceeds, the wine itself. “This has been a favorite for over 14 years! This small winery has won so many awards since we first started visiting. The delicious wines are mostly grown in the vineyard on property with water wise growing, no pesticides and the owners doing most of the work, wine making included! The tasting room has evolved from a garage to comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas. The art of all kinds in the tasting room is always a delight to enjoy and purchase! Sandy and Bill make this a friendly and enjoyable experience we always look forward to.“

“Beautiful estate. We were greeted warmly by Erica and Galen, the place is so peaceful, clean. The best part is that you get to bring your whole family including your fur baby :). Most the winery’s around do not welcome kids but here kids and dogs are welcome. For a working mom like me having the time with my kid while I enjoy a glass of wine is huge! We will definitely be back.“

Boyd Teegarden, the proprietor and wine maker along with Cameron his assistant are a dynamic duo in presenting the wines, answering all your questions but most importantly completing the intimate & meaningful experience not afforded in some of the larger venues. “Went to the recent event at the winery, it was great! Good wine, and the staff was marvelous as always. The food was good, enjoyed it. But it was-is not appropriate for wine tasting. I do not understand the current trend of wineries inviting mexican food carts to wine tasting events. The food style tends to mess up ones palete. Beer or soda go great with Mexican food. Or possibly a huge red, but not the refined Pinot Noir and whites of the Willamette Valley.“

I also had fun talking to some of the other tables that came to visit their lovely smaller tasting room that looks Northeast I believe and gives you a great vineyard view. “The facility and vineyards were beautiful. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. He told us about the history of the vineyard and all the nuances that go with growing wine in this region. I guess we are middle of the road wine drinkers and this winery is not the middle of the road winery. High cost, in our opinion, for tasting ($50 per person) and higher cost for their bottles of wine ($40 - $130 per bottle). Most were on the higher end. We lived the vineyard, we loved our host, it was just at a much higher cost for these middle of the road wine drinkers.“

“My mom came from out of town to celebrate her birthday, and we decided to visit Durant Vineyards at Red Ridge Farms as walk-ins. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and genuinely treated with kindness and respect. It was such a refreshing experience!
The wine was absolutely delicious, and the food options were amazing. There was so much to enjoy beyond just the tasting room, including beautiful trails surrounding the property and plenty to explore and experience. It made the entire visit feel like more than just a wine tasting, it was a full experience.
What really stood out to me was how welcoming the staff was. As walk-ins, we never felt like an inconvenience. We felt valued, appreciated, and taken care of throughout our visit. That made such a difference, especially because we were celebrating a special occasion with my mom.
I truly highly recommend Durant Vineyards at Red Ridge Farms. The beautiful property, delicious wine, amazing food options, friendly service, and overall atmosphere made this an incredible experience. We had such a wonderful time and left feeling so welcomed. “We really enjoyed our time at Archery Summit. We had a group of about 10 people including an infant. The staff was very helpful when we had a last minute change of guest count. The tasting was delicious along with the snacks and bites we had. We are members as well from the east coast, so it is always great to visit such a beautiful property and experience the winery in person!“

“Our son brought us to Lady Hill for the Sheepdog Classic which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had some delicious red wine and we had some scrumptious pulled pork sandwiches. To top it off we also enjoyed some Rose slushies that were so refreshing and delicious. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable with wonderful friendly staff and management. Thank you Lady Hill for a wonderful day. We really want to attend another Sheepdog competition. We were so impressed by the smart and quick dogs!“
