“I love the atmosphere, the drinks, and the chili pepper lights at the bar! Lol

The service was good, it was quick until they got busy. Two bartenders for the whole place didn't seem like enough. They could probably use a server/runner. In the end, we sat at the bar with two empty glasses, waiting for service for about 15 minutes before we could wave someone down.

“Up and coming little nano brewery in the north side of town, no food served but Thai food truck right out front and home brew supply store next door. The location is a modern mix of industrial brewing equipment and hip tasting room decor with bar games, small patio area, etc. The staff and owners were really friendly, happily providing tastes and information about the establishment. Started with the Ginger Kid Vanilla Red Ale, a decent red, malty in flavor and medium body. Moved on to Gnome Bard Wit, which was a refreshingly nice and light beer for a hot day! Decent bite to it. Also tried the Tiny House Session, another good one, better than the previous in my opinion, more suited for a laid back beer to quench the thirst without getting too buzzed. Lastly, came the Common Cut, which I did not care for too much. All in all a great visit, being a fairly new brewery, I look forward to what they have in store next. “Wonderful space with delicious beers that has a dog friendly outdoor area (they are not allowed inside the brewery) with plenty of seating. They also allow outside food. Can come have a beer and play some of their board games. They do not have many options for those who do not drink beer/alcohol though outside of water.“

I am somewhat of a beer connoisseur, and Stickman surprises me pleasantly each time. The beer selection is very nice and varied. The Belgian blonde I tried today has been absolutely perfectly crafted.The service both times was quick, professional, and courteous. I love the comfort of the space, which on a cold March day, and near freezing temperature outside, is cozy, warm and wants you to just stay for just one more pint.Heads down the best experience I have had in many years!!! “Local spot in my neighborhood. Always amazing service. The ambience is chill. The food is good with a decent variety. The beer options never disappoint. The problem I have is the one food item I perpetually go back for is the grilled chx Caesar salad (the dressing is yum)!. What I’ve noticed in the last couple years up to this evening is the price stays the same if not inflate (expected) but when you pay full price and receive 1.5oz of chicken is not ok. The ex-large croutons surpass the size and qty of chx provided. I ordered an extra side of chx breast to balance the romaine and croutons and I swear it’s a 1/4 of a butterflied, pounded out chx breast. I sent in an email months ago to convey my dissatisfaction with the Stormbreaker team and never rcvd acknowledgement. I understand the staff needs to follow protocol. This is the owners call.“

“This airy, plant filled bottle shop and pub just opened right off the Yellow Line in Kenton. It’s spacious, bright and inviting. The staff are friendly and their tap list is good, plus they have lots of delicious to-go options. Happy to have them in the neighborhood!

Update 2024: Love Mayfly more than ever! They always have a great selection of fun rotating cans/bottles/taps. They frequently have events and food pop ups. Most importantly, they allow minors until 6pm now which makes it easier for our family to enjoy them.“

“The kitchen is very small here so the food selection is minimal for the chain. when the place gets busy there can be a huge backup for food orders. they have an outdoor area which has a fun fire pit and a little shed that is fun to pop into. there are a couple of games in there. I absolutely love the theater here. they have a wooden dome where you can see the carpentry on the ceiling. The place is kept really clean. I see a general trend of new people coming in and out to work there. on the inside there is an upstairs location that a lot of people don't take advantage of. so if you want some privacy go upstairs. The location is pretty much on the edge of downtown St. John's making it very walkable to multiple other things in town.

The movies here are the cheapest in Portland. they are first run and you get food beer wine if you want while you watch. The servers here have always been extremely nice...except for that one that kicked me out of a movie, not for behavior but because my phone died and I couldn't pull up my pre bought movie tickets...I had a reference number, but this guy wasn't having anything to do with that. That was the only time I felt like an employee there was completely out of place in the way they treated paying customers. The manner he came in the theater, made comments and pulled me out of the theater was beyond embarrassing. I escalated the incident to the corporate contact, they never answered any of my communications. I didn't even get 2 movie tickets to reimburse the pull out after I was able to show I pre paid.“

“My great nephew was playing drums in a large band to a packed house upstairs in Crystal Ballroom. A dozen or so of assorted family had come to Portland to partake and as the matinee was wrapping up in the late afternoon I said to the drummers mom, who was kind of our ring-leader, I'd go downstairs and stake out a big table for all of us to eat. Shortly after sitting at the largest table in the farthest from the bar corner of the side room, the bartender came to tell me they weren't really staffed to be serving in that room. I told him I had maybe a dozen people coming down from upstairs and we'd be an easy, forgiving crowd. He looked dubious, and said he'd need to check with the manager. He was back quickly putting out menus and arranging chairs. Our final number was ten, and our only server was this same guy who was also one of maybe two bartenders for the whole place. As he took our orders he said it would likely take up to an hour for the kitchen to produce our food, because dozens of people from upstairs had come in as well. Our drinks came quickly, and the food arrived in much less time than he suggested. Every order was correct. To my knowledge everybody liked what they ordered and the prices seemed about right. He did not seem in the slightest rattled by adding our big group to his personal workload and came back a few times to see how were all doing and take additional orders for drinks. And the drummer and the rest of us we were out of there well in time for the evening show at 8:00. I don't know if this really is an excellent place, but it sure was for us.“

“We come in at least once a month and like both locations. Everything we’ve had here has been yummy and service is always friendly and helpful. Go to place to find dark beers year round. The pizza crusts are crisp, chicharrones are hard to stop eating, burgers are good, brunch is good too! Kids menu is a typical kids meal and filling. Oh and great patio!“

“The iconic jbcs I somehow lost its mojo. There's been a high turnover of staff and I think that's caused some serious issues. Service lately has been lackluster and the food has taken a downturn too. It saddens me to see this happen.

Atmosphere is great, the vibe is in tune with the area and the age of the building…complete with a wood burning stove in the center of the room.
The Hummus plate was nice but overpowering. It is served with both raw and pickled veggies. Combined with the garlic laced Tzatziki sauce it is a bit much.
Definitely Portland…where everything has its own spin.“

“In comparison to other McMenamins locations, this one is pretty mundane. It’s located in a strip mall. It offers inside and outside seating. The layout reminds me of an Applebees but with McMenamins decorations. The food and drinks are of course McMenamins. Our server was great and made the experience great. It was strange too but be in a McMenamins restaurant that doesn’t scream historical history.“

“This gem, hidden in the heart of Portland is great !!! It's like a small town tavern where everybody knows your name.

The Hostess / Bartender / Waitress Lady greeted us warmly🥰, cleared a table, and made some excellent meal, drink, and appetizer suggestions. We both ordered the "Dungeon Burger"; my friend had the soup side and I chose the fries. I had an excellent sweet-tart Moscato blend to sip with my meal and my friend chose a soft drink.

While we waited, the music ambience was excellent rock music loud enough to give us privacy in our conversation while not being loud enough to hinder our conversation.

Our food arrived... WOW, the fries were fries, but the Dungeon burger was a most excellent flavorful experience. The usual toppings were good, but the burger patties were cooked to perfection !!! The flavor was terrific with pink in the middle, just as I love it. It was a culinary delight bursting with flavor, moist and juicy. I found it juicy and messy (if it's not messy, it isn't awesome) and incredibly delicious. I WILL return !!! I can easily recall the
flavor to this minute.

For a late evening meal, I highly recommend this McMenamins !!!“
