“Dropped in to have some lunch and I was not disappointed. I had the Ricky Ricotta Detroit style Pizza which was delicious. Every weekday a specific flavor is on sale for lunch if you want to try it sometime with a little less investment.
They have free Wi-Fi, the bathrooms are clean, and the vibe is casual and fun.“

“This place rocks. Beautifully designed interior that feels clean with a soothing cool. But those drinks!!! Love the lime-infused lager for the summer, so fresh! I crave it on warm days and wish we had it in stores! And the proprietors are just hands-down rad humans!“

“Love this brewery! Staff are friendly, the beer is absolutely top notch, place is small but cozy and inviting! Generally have some excellent shanties playing and a dart board in the corner...taste of Irish, anyone?! Brewer does a phenomenal scotch ale, and the Meanderin' Mandarin Pale Ale is delicious. I could drink that stuff for brekky! Comedy nights, bottle swaps, and other events on a regular basis. Check them out! Kudos, Three Mugs!“
“Up and coming little nano brewery in the north side of town, no food served but Thai food truck right out front and home brew supply store next door. The location is a modern mix of industrial brewing equipment and hip tasting room decor with bar games, small patio area, etc. The staff and owners were really friendly, happily providing tastes and information about the establishment. Started with the Ginger Kid Vanilla Red Ale, a decent red, malty in flavor and medium body. Moved on to Gnome Bard Wit, which was a refreshingly nice and light beer for a hot day! Decent bite to it. Also tried the Tiny House Session, another good one, better than the previous in my opinion, more suited for a laid back beer to quench the thirst without getting too buzzed. Lastly, came the Common Cut, which I did not care for too much. All in all a great visit, being a fairly new brewery, I look forward to what they have in store next. With single barrel batches, they often introduce new taps so stay tuned! Check out their website, it will win you over pronto! Thanks guys, see ya again soon! Best, ~S“
“Always great service, food and beer. My favorite place to go for lunch.“

“Spacey brewery with a large selection of beers, a decent food menu, other drink options, and affordable prices. There are two sections of seating available, one with table service and one where you order from a QR code. I’m not sure if there was bar seating there or now. The burger was good but the fries are what made the dish, and I really enjoyed the beee that I had. Would definitely come here again if I ever find myself in Portland again!“
“bloop was a great sour and the staff was amazing!!“
“Contactless equals lack of the human interaction.“
“Always a great brewery and a nice spot down town to pop in for a beer and a pretzel. IPAs are their Forte. I had the vienna lager which is great albeit a hoppy vienna. They just won 2 more medals at GABF this year so pop in for a pint or 3. They medaled on the breakside IPA so grab a pour.“
“Our favorite hole in the wall brewery close to home! We have met many friends here over the past five years and it's usually our first choice to go in wanting to grab a quick beer or three. Great selection of food carts on a regular basis and they have something going on almost on a daily basis.
Staff is friendly and conversational and the owner truly puts his love into this place and we appreciate it!“
“Hands down, Portland's best beer. It's not even close. Even when they drop a style I don't like, it's great. The IPA's and barrel aged stout are simply magic.
I have an appreciation for the Satanic theme of the location, beer names, and vibe. It's fun! They partner well with food purveyors in their kitchen spot. Staff are friendly. There's a decent patio. And they rock the dark Metal.
Prepare to pay, but every drop is worth it.“

“LOVING WHAT I'M SEEING! 🎉
PLUS the Vegetarian offerings! *chef's kiss!* 🍻
It's not easy being a Local Small Business in Portland, Oregon, PNW to say the absolute least. In my oh-so-humble opinion, Portland Peeps don't seem to get that.
Anytime I read a negative review I genuinely wonder if...or how hard they tried to convey that information to the staff/management DURING THEIR VISIT; likely not.
Quit yer bitchin' online and GO AND SUPPORT YOUR SMALL LOCAL BUSINESSES SO THEY CAN STAY IN BUSINESS! ✌️🍻“

“I visited Occidental for the first time as part of the entertainment for their Oktoberfest 2025. The owners and staff are very friendly, and I was impressed how they made great use of the space they had as a lot of people showed up to enjoy the beer, food, and festivities! Every kid who got a balloon creation from me and their families looked like they were having a great time, and I made my first balloon of a man wearing Lederhosen. Good vibes here and good service!“

“DOG FRIENDLY! It’s a brewery in a warehouse so, while I WISH the menu was better, they’re probably very limited on what they can do. The vibes are cool - it can get extremely busy fast after 4:30pm and can be loud from the warehouse echo space. I’ve brought friends who said they were overstimulated. Sometimes they have trivia which is fun. You can reserve axe-throwing from a 3rd party which is also fun. They offer beer and wine.“

“Oregon Mini Society descended on McMenamins Rock Creek Tavern, and it could not have been a better destination.
First off, the table. If you know, you know. The massive old-growth timber round table just inside the side entrance is worth the visit alone. It’s the kind of table that makes you want to count the growth rings and debate its age over lunch (we considered it… then the food arrived and priorities shifted). It comfortably handled our lively group and instantly set the tone for a relaxed, communal gathering.
The staff was friendly, patient, and genuinely accommodating. When a group of classic car enthusiasts shows up talking oil pressure, tire pressure, and twisty roads, that can go one of two ways. Here, we were welcomed like regulars.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere warm and historic, and the setting makes it an ideal starting point, mid-point, or finish line for any car club tour. Easy access, plenty of space, and just the right vibe for lingering conversations after the engines cool.
If you’re planning a group drive or just want a spot with character and great service, Rock Creek Tavern checks every box.
We’ll absolutely be back… and next time, we might finally count those rings.“

“What's not to love about Mayfly?! Mayfly always has one of the best draft and bottle selections in the Portland area that always feels new every time I come in. Prices are excellent, staff and the owner are wonderful people, and there are plenty of great events to check out each week. Also a great selection of food vendors during the weekend. I live in Vancouver and bike here regularly because It's my favorite spot within miles.“
“My great nephew was playing drums in a large band to a packed house upstairs in Crystal Ballroom. A dozen or so of assorted family had come to Portland to partake and as the matinee was wrapping up in the late afternoon I said to the drummers mom, who was kind of our ring-leader, I'd go downstairs and stake out a big table for all of us to eat. Shortly after sitting at the largest table in the farthest from the bar corner of the side room, the bartender came to tell me they weren't really staffed to be serving in that room. I told him I had maybe a dozen people coming down from upstairs and we'd be an easy, forgiving crowd. He looked dubious, and said he'd need to check with the manager. He was back quickly putting out menus and arranging chairs. Our final number was ten, and our only server was this same guy who was also one of maybe two bartenders for the whole place. As he took our orders he said it would likely take up to an hour for the kitchen to produce our food, because dozens of people from upstairs had come in as well. Our drinks came quickly, and the food arrived in much less time than he suggested. Every order was correct. To my knowledge everybody liked what they ordered and the prices seemed about right. He did not seem in the slightest rattled by adding our big group to his personal workload and came back a few times to see how were all doing and take additional orders for drinks. And the drummer and the rest of us we were out of there well in time for the evening show at 8:00. I don't know if this really is an excellent place, but it sure was for us.“

“This place is engraved in my mind from a random snowstorm that struck about 8 years ago. In a nutshell, my friend and I got stuck at McMenamins from a snowstorm then ate and drank like royalty. Their food is delicious and their brews top it off for the ultimate experience. So next time there's a snowstorm, drop by John Barleycorns.“

“As long-time fans and passport holders of McMenamins, we’ve visited quite a few of their locations over the years, but this was actually one we hadn’t managed to check out until now 😊. We stopped by fairly late in the evening for a late dinner, so the place was a bit quieter than usual.
The servers were friendly and polite, although they seemed a little distracted and possibly busy. For example, after our appetizer arrived we still hadn’t received water, utensils, or napkins, which made things a bit awkward at first 🍽️. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it was noticeable.
For our meal, we ordered one more classic-style dish and one of their specialty options. The food was definitely good and satisfying, though compared to some other McMenamins locations we’ve visited, it didn’t quite stand out as much. Still, the quality was solid and enjoyable 👍.
The atmosphere felt a bit more low-key than what we usually experience at McMenamins spots, but considering the late hour and what looked like a slightly understaffed team, it made sense. Overall, it’s a decent place if you’re looking for a relaxed meal with friendly staff and above-average pub-style food 🍔🍻.
If someone is trying McMenamins for the first time, I might suggest visiting one of their more iconic locations first for the full experience. But if you already enjoy the brand and just want a solid, casual stop, this spot definitely gets the job done 👍✨.“

“We went for the Wassail Cider Fest for the first time and it was energetic! The band performance was something I'd never seen before and hosting it in their barn really added to the experience. They had a great cider selection from a very wide variety of vendors. It was very crowded and difficult to move around at times due to the high volume of traffic. The parking lot was full so we parked nearby at the Fred Meyer and walked which was to be expected. We got food from their restaurant after and besides a slightly burnt pattie on one of our burgers, they do a good job. And service is always great. Overall we had a great time! Spending per person includes our event tickets which was $48 per person.“

“Thank you for keeping Lion Heart REAL. This is one of the very few companies that do not use added sugar in their kombucha. It is high-quality and made with love and care. The fact that's it's local to me also make me smile! I was shocked to see that Brew Dr. now adds 14 grams of sugar to their kombucha to total 16 grams of sugar per bottle! SAD. Not much better than a soda. I appreciate Lion Heart's commitment to HEALTHY kombucha. Thank you! Please never change your recipe! 🙏❤️“

“We made it here during happy hour and it was great. We had the happy hour smash burgers, Cajun tots, Caesar salad and churros. I would go back for 1,000 of those burgers. We also had one drink which was made perfectly (Spar citrus vodka, muffled lemon and lime, and soda water). Service was amazing. I’ll be back soon.“

“This chain on Pubs, breweries, historical Inns and quirky events are a one of a kind place. 60 plus locations are all unique in character, but you always know you are at a McMenamins by the decor of each is different but with a similar theme. Mostly the same menu as a whole but individual items specifically to that location' menu changes quarterly.
Sherwood location is a heavily forest feel with lots of wood booths. Always very happy and friendly staff and a very comfortable feel about it. Z little like a British pub this one.
If you have never experienced a McMenamins you need to just do it. You will not be sorry“

“Huge shout out to Chelsie, she went above and beyond and made our experience so pleasant. She was so amazing with our son and gave us a perfect amount of space to enjoy our meal as a family while checking in on us here and there. She greeted my husband and my son immediately and encouraged them to go check out the upstairs section since my son was clearly enjoying their fans (if your kid loves fans they are extra special here). Happy hour menu was great, kids grilled cheese was delicious, we will be back and hopefully served by Chelsie.“
