“I love the atmosphere, the drinks, and the chili pepper lights at the bar! Lol

The service was good, it was quick until they got busy. Two bartenders for the whole place didn't seem like enough. They could probably use a server/runner. In the end, we sat at the bar with two empty glasses, waiting for service for about 15 minutes before we could wave someone down.

“Up and coming little nano brewery in the north side of town, no food served but Thai food truck right out front and home brew supply store next door. The location is a modern mix of industrial brewing equipment and hip tasting room decor with bar games, small patio area, etc. The staff and owners were really friendly, happily providing tastes and information about the establishment. Started with the Ginger Kid Vanilla Red Ale, a decent red, malty in flavor and medium body. Moved on to Gnome Bard Wit, which was a refreshingly nice and light beer for a hot day! Decent bite to it. Also tried the Tiny House Session, another good one, better than the previous in my opinion, more suited for a laid back beer to quench the thirst without getting too buzzed. Lastly, came the Common Cut, which I did not care for too much. All in all a great visit, being a fairly new brewery, I look forward to what they have in store next. “Awesome brewery experience unlike any other in Portland. Ambiance was amazing and one of a kind giving you almost like a dark medieval type vibe with metal music playing in the background. Not to mention all the beers were amazing proving that this isn't just some gimmicky place. It definitely has the vibes and the beers to match. Staff was super helpful and nice in recommending some popular choices based on my taste and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're into good beer and into goth vibey places.“

I am somewhat of a beer connoisseur, and Stickman surprises me pleasantly each time. The beer selection is very nice and varied. The Belgian blonde I tried today has been absolutely perfectly crafted.The service both times was quick, professional, and courteous. I love the comfort of the space, which on a cold March day, and near freezing temperature outside, is cozy, warm and wants you to just stay for just one more pint.Heads down the best experience I have had in many years!!! “Wonderful space with delicious beers that has a dog friendly outdoor area (they are not allowed inside the brewery) with plenty of seating. They also allow outside food. Can come have a beer and play some of their board games. They do not have many options for those who do not drink beer/alcohol though outside of water.“

“First time here trying out the local brewery. I ordered the Maui POG hard seltzer, which is only served in a can. It tastes like POG. Plus it is gluten free, 100 cals and less than a gram of sugar per can. The food is amazing too. I ordered the #4 burger. Plus the live band playing adds an extra ambiance.“

“What's not to love about Mayfly?! Mayfly always has one of the best draft and bottle selections in the Portland area that always feels new every time I come in. Prices are excellent, staff and the owner are wonderful people, and there are plenty of great events to check out each week. Also a great selection of food vendors during the weekend. “My great nephew was playing drums in a large band to a packed house upstairs in Crystal Ballroom. A dozen or so of assorted family had come to Portland to partake and as the matinee was wrapping up in the late afternoon I said to the drummers mom, who was kind of our ring-leader, I'd go downstairs and stake out a big table for all of us to eat. Shortly after sitting at the largest table in the farthest from the bar corner of the side room, the bartender came to tell me they weren't really staffed to be serving in that room. I told him I had maybe a dozen people coming down from upstairs and we'd be an easy, forgiving crowd. He looked dubious, and said he'd need to check with the manager. He was back quickly putting out menus and arranging chairs. Our final number was ten, and our only server was this same guy who was also one of maybe two bartenders for the whole place. As he took our orders he said it would likely take up to an hour for the kitchen to produce our food, because dozens of people from upstairs had come in as well. Our drinks came quickly, and the food arrived in much less time than he suggested. Every order was correct. To my knowledge everybody liked what they ordered and the prices seemed about right. He did not seem in the slightest rattled by adding our big group to his personal workload and came back a few times to see how were all doing and take additional orders for drinks. And the drummer and the rest of us we were out of there well in time for the evening show at 8:00. I don't know if this really is an excellent place, but it sure was for us.“

“Great experience. Came here with friends for happy hour and got seated right away. We sat on the second floor near the door. It was a pretty warm day and got a little too warm. Didn't have a breeze sitting at the table next to the door - recommend sitting further into the place to get air from the door or sit outside when its hot.

Other than that, food was great. We had good service and its a nice feel to the decor as well.“

“My biggest criticism is the lack of cleanliness in themed restaurants these days. You put so much effort into decor, and a yearly cleaning would not be too much of a sacrifice for decorum. Bartender was too busy to tend to the tables. Gave a good tip, but while I understand I was underwhelmed.“

Atmosphere is great, the vibe is in tune with the area and the age of the building…complete with a wood burning stove in the center of the room.
The Hummus plate was nice but overpowering. It is served with both raw and pickled veggies. Combined with the garlic laced Tzatziki sauce it is a bit much.
Definitely Portland…where everything has its own spin.“

The fact that's it's local to me also make me smile! I was shocked to see that Brew Dr. now adds 14 grams of sugar to their kombucha to total 16 grams of sugar per bottle! SAD.
