“Terrific experience! My boyfriend has been here twice and couldn't wait to bring me. We live in the neighborhood and couldn't believe we hadn't found this place sooner. We were impressed by the presentation of our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. We also enjoyed the best crab ragoons we've ever had (ordered 2 more to-go). Everything about the restaurant was clearly well thought-out. From the dining area to the bar to the bathroom, it is well-designed and extremely clean. To top it off, the owner of restaurant was super friendly and took time to chat with us. We are already making plans to bring our friends next week. Love this place!“

“I’m elated that this bar is under new ownership, I spent NYE here and it was a blast! I went back for my birthday. Entertainment is excellent-drag and burlesque shows, bands and comedy too. I’ve had a wonderful time every time! OH and the bar tenders are really incredibly nice and accommodating. Can’t recommend enough!!“

“We had a party on the 2nd floor. Onion Rings are awesome, and so was the Osso Buco. The meat just fell off the bone! Everything was great until we got the bill.We supplied a cake, and had to ask for plates and a cake knife & we served ourselves. The waitstaff didn't do anything except bring utensils. The bill had a $25 "Cake Fee" even though they did nothing to help. It would have been different if the fee was mentioned when booking the room, or by the waitress. But, there was no mention. Just that $25 line item on the bill. That ended the party on a bad note.“

“This is one of our go to neighborhood friendly bars for food and drinks. Nothing fancy, no frills bar but really good food and drinks at really good prices. The Park City Phillies on the fresh baked bread are delicious along with the Burgers, Tater Tots, and the Park City Salad with Grilled Chicken for our watching what we eat option. Had the meatloaf special and it too was delicious.“
“It's kind of a idk, run down joint but the people that go there are really kewl and the bartenders are very friendly. I won 200 off of a twenty in one of their machines and now they are my favorite spot! I didn't eat there so idk about the food. Go there for the atmosphere!“

“It was our first time here. If you're a sports fanatic there are games on every television. They offer poker, darts,, and sports related games like bowling and golf. We ordered a few appetizers and they were hot upon arrival at our table and definitely enough for sharing with friends.“

“Went around 7pm on a Monday evening. Not many around, which made the evening relaxed. The staff were great. Descent selection on the menu. Food was delivered promptly. Prices aren't too high and they had a kids menu.Parking: Parking lot can fill quickly...we got one of the last spots near restaurant so didn't need to look far.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu...pic attached.“

“A co-worker told me to try this place out. We went for breakfast. Good food, variety, and plenty of options. Staff was super nice. Bit busy so it took time to get refills of coffee at the table. No problem to stop up at the bar they usually had a fresh pot or were getting one made.“

“First time at Low Road Bar. Hubby had the Mega Mary and I had the crispy chicken wrap. The wrap was delicious but the fries were to die for! Nummy! Hubby loved the bloody Mary, good and spicy but not all peppery. He also said the burger on it was super tasty. Will definitely be back.“

“Didn't eat here - instead we ordered pizzas to go. So glad we did!! It was piping hot and LOADED with toppings. The gluten free crust was delicious and appreciated. I might stop in and eat here next time since there was a game on and it was packed and seemed super fun! They had pool table and fun ambiance.“

“Going to start strong with cost effectiveness and ambiance, prices most commonly range from 4.75-8 dollars. Thursdays are all day happy hour, and each drink has over 2 oz of the hard alcohol added! Willing to make tall w/out cost increase. Best lemon drops (I always ask for a lot of sugar since I can't handle the taste of alcohol) and only 3.75 during happy hour, Malibu's are only 5.50!Really nice bartender, gives great suggestions, and is so nice they'll cook fries up until 11:30pm! I always leave a little more than tipsy during happy hour with 11.25 dollars of drinks under my belt (3 drinks). At most, it would cost 15 for drinks and 7 for a full thing of fries. Amazing service and relaxed atmosphere (I usually go around 11pm, but I recommend more than an hour to properly access billiards and other activities). Their music leans into a rock vibe, it's the only bar I've been to that makes me feel 100% comfortable. They have shuffle board, billiards, darts, and video poker. The lighting is darker with many TVs, and a lot of the furniture works amazing with the ambiance of the lighting. Overall 10/10! I recommend this to anyone who leans more introverted, I recommend going early if you want more people to talk to, but otherwise, come within the last 2.5 hours for a more introverted friendly experience. It's also 21+.Make sure to tip your bartender well. They seriously deserve it! (Each time I've gone, there's only been one bartender, I'll update with proper pronouns once I get informed. I struggle with being personal level social until after a couple of visits)“

“At this point I'll call myself a regular, my husband and I love this place and it's the only place in the neighborhood that dose the chicken fried steak, and their garlic toast, yummm! The bartenders are so sweet and attentive, easy to conversate with and usually it's pretty laid back here, sure it can get loud at times, but what bar can't, right?;I love this place so much I'd work here... Lol ❤️“

“Just moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and found this gem across the street. Didn't expect to feel so welcome at a bar where the walls have elk heads mounted along with old shotguns above the urinal. Never judge a book by it's cover. Try the chowder on Fridays and the collards on any day!“

“Great place to watch sports. The food here is subpar for Vietnamese cuisine—but their customer service is great. They offer a decent selection for tap beers, and cocktails. Video poker isn’t usually packed either so you could always find a machine to play on—or play pool/darts if you’re not into gamble.Been coming here for over 10+ years, and I have to admit that this is my go-to bar when I’m in SouthEast PDX. Will definitely continue to support this establishment for many years to come.“

“Needed a place to work that had free wifi. Found this place open late on Google so I gave it a try. Great service and a nice vibe. I was here for hours and no one treated me weird or said a thing! I was so impressed. Cute little location right in historic downtown.I had Shirley Temples and grabbed a burger and tots for the road.Would recommend to just come and relax. Many people taking their beers outside and enjoying the nice spring weather. Really good vibes all around.“

“Favorite bar in Portland. The food is always great, friendly people, and it's nice and cozy inside. The smash burger is pretty decadent in my opinion; really good if you want something that will fill you up and then some. Recently had the Parmesan garlic fries - they were really good but you are going to want to drink to help wash these down.“

“It's a dive but a cozy, nice, dive. They have karaoke on some nights. Whoever is the chef right now made the BEST burger and caesar salad! I got the Lay Low burger and it was legit so fire! I wanna go back again today and order the same thing lol. Maybe it was the tequila making me feel some type of way, but I ended up tipping the chef personally. FI-RE! Oh, and stiff drinks“
“Another review mentioned this bar supported domestic violence, so I had to visit. Jimmy's is AWESOME!!! Everyone was just beating their spouses, it was such a pleasant time. Seriously why would she call a dive bar and not the cops? We visited had drinks and it was clean and everyone was friendly!! Thanks Jimmy!“

“The food in this place is better than it has any right to be. The cook is clearly taking pride in what they're doing. I have had the pastrami burger twice and another times it's been fantastic. This spot is a cool, chill neighborhood spot with a great menu and friendly down to earth service.“

“The food is well above what you would expect for a bar. We go there often for a drink, but rarely get a meal because we are pescatarian (love the appetizers though!). Today, we were thrilled because we asked the chef gal if she would make us a fish sandwich and she went out of her way to make us happy, even coming out several times to clarify what we wanted. It was an amazing sandwich and we hope they’ll add it to the menu! Also, our friend asked for fry sauce and the chef went back and whipped some up for her. Her and the bartender were much more accommodating than you’d expect for a bar (or even for many restaurants). I can’t recommend this place enough, and I whole heartedly think the staff amplify the experience.“

“Lived in the area for a few years now and having a kid is getting us out more to explore the immediate neighborhood a little more. It's always on the walking path, but I've honestly slept on the Rose City Grill because of bad experiences from other golf course food back home, which was essentially hospital food that you'd only order if you were starving and desperate to eat. I need to unlearn what I have learned, and this spot is top tier.Mike and Chelsea are a friendly team that put out some great food. Came on Saturday on a whim and got their Jimmy Max, which was a solid breakfast sandwich: eggs, bacon, cheese, English muffin. Hit the spot at a good price. Today we're out getting a Reuben and it's exactly what I could hope for. No frills, not experimentomg, justa solid, traditional, corned beef Reuben with sauerkraut and swiss. There's plenty of places in Portland to find that experimental-fusion-chaos menu, but it's honestly nice to keep the standards alive and well.Golfers have been eating well here and the vibe is chill; plenty of tables to sit down at, baby even took a full nap being so comfortable! The grill is open to the public, so come stop by and grab something to eat, even if you're not a golfer.“

“One of the best dive bars in Gresham/Troutdale. Not exactly a dive bar, but definitely blue collar. Staff is great. They are attentive without being up your butt about it, and It won’t take long for them to remember you when you start coming in.Food is definitely above average, You can tell the cooks care about what they put out. The drinks are strong without being so heavy it’s not good. You feel like you are getting your moneys worth. They don’t really allow shenanigans, so it keeps it a chill place to get drinks and food, or watch sports. They do have lotto machines, for those that care:)“

“Decent place, lots of regulars. Lots of taps. Older crowd. The reserve signs that people put on the video poker machines don't have a time limit. Regulars put them on and walk away for 20 minutes. Saw some frustrated players who were waiting just get up and leave.“

“Player club enjoy going there. Local bar that has a lot older adults but everyone seems very friendly. The food is pretty good. At times it does get a little loud but I guess people are just having fun. I go into the bar by myself and I feel safe. The daytime bartender is a hoot. If you ever get a chance to stop by. I think you'll enjoy it“

“I was in Pappy’s last night for dinner.the second I walked through the door I was treated like family. My bartender,Tasha made me one of her own creations which she calls the Cirtini. Don’t know what is in it but it looks amazing and delicious. It is a little sweet but it sneaks up on you. Next time you in there and Tasha is working I highly recommend you try her Critini. While I was there I had ordered a club sandwich which was like a taste of heaven! And the atmosphere is amazing the way the lights are turned down low it gives off a very warm romantic energy almost like a seductive sexual energy. I tried my luck at some video lottery hands but I lost however I got to watch others hit left and right. Did better at billiards. The bathrooms are clean but not wheelchair accessible they are too small, take it from someone like myself who is wheelchair bound. Now the parking lot is handicapped accessible and so is the doorway.Wheelchair accessibility: See the posting above. Mentioned in the article“

“A group of us usually go there Friday night and we are pretty well taken care of. Sarah, our usual server, is amazing/the absolute best, and the food ain't half bad either. I've had the Patty Melt, Burgers, Fried Shrimp, and a few other things. They have a decent menu, with a nice variety, to go along with a small sports bar atmosphere, and a game room. We make it a regular Friday spot.“

“Just moved to the area I live half a mile away thought I’d try the place expected a hole in the wall, but was pleasantly surprised. Walked in and was greeted immediately by a nice smile and the lovely bartender. Her husband is the cook. His name is Bob and I apologize I can’t remember her name. They cooked my fish the way I like it light gold brown. It was lightly breaded and tasty! atmosphere was light and inviting. I will definitely be back weekly.“

“We play the occasional pool match out of here. The tables are decent. They've had problems with the roof leaking occasionally, and that might shut down a table or two. They do their best to get the roof fixed, but the leak seems to keep moving spots. The chinese food is great and one of my favorite places to get some. They've added a covered back patio in the last couple of years and have an older pool table out there.Parking: Parking is out front and back, with a few spots along one side of the building.“
“It's kind of a dive bar not in the best area . They serve Mexican food. Only have beer and wine no liquor . They have a pool table , juke box and I believe 7 to 10 poker machines . The poker machines did go down while I was there . I guess it was a city wide issue. I had to wait for the machines to come back on line before they would cash my ticket. It was down for over a hour so that wasn't ideal but all in all not a bad place nice staff and depending on the time nice customers. Gets more rowdy later at night.Parking: It's In the same parking lot as the liquor store and people seem to get confused on the one way directions they're are supposed to be going . So you want to pay extra close attention in this parking lot.“

“Been in a few times before for a quick drink or jello-shot after visiting the nearby food carts. But, today was the first time I’ve spent a good chunk of time here. The bartender was great, the food was good and cheap, and they have plenty of TVs for football viewing. Some of the other patrons were incredibly loud during our visit…. I guess I forgot what watching Sunday football is like in public. Overall, this bar is great if you want to watch football and possibly make some friends.Parking: Lot is in the back.“
“I love this place I love the portland Vibe the outdoor murals and the Bar tender is the greatest cook, and drink maker in the world. I suggest this place most definitely and the food and football. Its a great place wjere everybody know your name!“
“Until very recently this was my local bar. I'm not much of a drinker or gambler but on the rare occasion that I do, this is my spot. Bartenders are super friendly and have all gone out of their way to please. The serve the bar staples in regards to food and it's pretty good. I recently moved so I fear I won't be coming here very often any more but I'll certainly try because they always made me feel welcome.“
“I feel like I'm family at this bar. Ive met a really amazing bartender who i hope to remain friends with. Its small and has the perfect amount of people. No over crowding and just laid back. They are very protective of their guests that they keep the doors locked for safety purposes. You have to knock and get their attention to be let in. “This is what a bar should be about, the service is super awesome, Dave is a great bartender, and the atmosphere is very old time bar feels. Food is not overpriced and you get nice and full. A lot of Portland bars are really modernized and expensive for not much, this here is a real bar.“

“To my favorite pups were fifteen years old and fourteen years old and both of them died within a month last year! I hadn't been into this bar for about 18 months cuz I don't drink anymore and all I went in there for was some biscuits and gravy. Then I run into the bartender and seen in, her name was Anna or is Anna etc she's selling this pup, half Rottweiler and half Chihuahua. And I immediately told myself, don't look at that dog and for God's sakes, no touching!I couldn't help myself, I held the pup for about 3 minutes. I thought for sure I'd be saved by the fact that she wanted too much for this entertaining Chic Magnate that my son has nicknamed, appropriately, Valentino; probably, 1500 to 2000? That was going to be the deal-breaker and I was going to get out of this all together! And, the $200 you see on the counter, is what I paid for for him! He's with many thousands more! And, we've bonded, he's my buddy, for life! His name is now Genghis Khan and he's a chick magnet on a grand scale. I'm at the best track meet in the world last weekend and he French kisses at least 700 women who I never met before!I'm going to have to take him home and brushes teeth!I purchased this pup by the time I finished my biscuits and gravy. “This Witchita is FAR superior to the other on off of King rd. That one sucks, go there if you get rowdy or like to be talked down to. This one is so much better. The food, the staff, the place itself is great. A bit of a wait for food if it's busy (as is every place) but WELL worth the wait.“
