Also, they use coffee icecubes in their iced coffees! The staff is fantastic. You can tell they all enjoy working there. “The Trophy Room is the sort of place that makes an old advertising warhorse weak in the knees before the first drink even hits the table. As a former ad guy, I would have happily paid admission just to wander around staring at the framed Nike ads covering the walls. It feels less like a restaurant and more like someone broke into the archives of the golden age of sports marketing and turned the evidence into décor. Every direction you look reveals another piece of beautifully executed propaganda designed to convince perfectly rational people that buying athletic shoes would somehow improve their lives.

And frankly, I loved every second of it.

The Wagyu Burger arrived with the confidence of a heavyweight prizefighter and delivered accordingly. No gimmicks. No architectural nonsense involving skewers and gravity-defying onion rings. Just a damn good burger executed by people who clearly understand their responsibilities to civilization. Combined with the atmosphere, it was enough to make me briefly forget the countless crimes committed against food and design across modern America.

The only casualty of the evening was the Old Fashioned. Somewhere along the line, a well-meaning soul decided to serve it over cubed ice. Cubed ice. In an Old Fashioned. This is the cocktail equivalent of hanging a priceless Nike ad in a gas station restroom. The drink itself was fine, but every clinking cube felt like a tiny bureaucratic failure. Give me one large glorious chunk of ice worthy of the whiskey and this place cruises to a perfect five stars.

Still, I’d return tomorrow. For the burger, the atmosphere, and another pilgrimage through that museum of advertising greatness masquerading as a restaurant.

“Actually I do NOT recommend this place! I ordered the RBG sandwich, and it was one of the worst sandwiches I ever had. The bread was dry and the ingredients were skimpy and fell out of the bread. The chickpea spread was almost non-existent. I paid $8 but it was worth about $1.50. I do NOT recommend this sandwich or this place.“

“Sharing something I just wrote about on my personal page. Thank you to the young woman who put a smile on my face! A girl I’d never met before made my day today. I was over by my old house and decided to go to Java Generations to get a Mexican mocha. I went there almost every day for just shy of 20 years. It’s been about 9 months and, to be honest, I was geeky excited about it. Definitely smiling. She handed me my coffee and turned around to ring me up. Then stopped and said “you know, I have to tell you…you have the most amazing smile. You are a very beautiful person”. I’m obviously not a super model, so it threw me off guard. Usually I would get awkward if that happened. Instead I thanked her and told her how sweet she was. I guess I’m sharing this because people should pay attention to how much those out of the blue compliments mean to someone. I’ve made a point of complimenting strangers if I notice something. Like everyone, I could do it more often. Just something to think about 🥰“

“I love this Starbucks I can usually find cups that I like here and you can use your 400 stars for your free cup. They have a real small dine in area. Ham and cheese croissant are real good. If you ever buy coffee cake warm up the coffee cake, it melts in your mouth.“

“Love this location. Nice employees. Would have given a 5 star rating but lately the lids have been popping off my coffee resulting in spillage in my car. What is left in my cup is delicious but they need to fix this lid problem. Doesn't matter how you pick up the cup. The lid pops off. Maybe only on hot coffee. Hot coffee is all I usually order so kinda dangerous. Be careful out there.“
