“Y’all! I am a chicken tendie connoisseur and this place has by far the best chicken tendies I have eaten. They were perfectly breaded and deep fried and the chicken itself wasn’t chewy or grizzly like some cheap tendies are. Also, surprisingly the best barbecue sauce I have ever had!! I am not sure if it’s a brand or if it’s home made but if I could bottle it up and bring it to Florida with me, I would. Got the brownie with Nutella whip to indulge and that was also amazing. I would highly recommend this place.“

“I ate breakfast (eggs, toast, hashbrowns, bacon, oatmeal, coffee) there 3 days straight while staying at the Graduate hotel and found the service to be good, the food to be good (though small oatmeal size), and the espresso was excellent. Plus it opens at 6 am every day which is critical for me, coming from the east coast and waking early. I highly recommend it!“

“This is by far the most premium coffee to be had in Oregon. These are lovingly crafted, original recipes that taste great. She uses distilled milk, which is a nightmare to make and time-intensive; it and the banana milk are delicious. The Strawberry Alarm Clock with banana milk is my go-to and highly recommended. The coffee is real coffee and very bitter, but it has to be to mix with the other ingredients. Trust me, they are formulated correctly. Coffee perfection takes time, however, so do be patient as it isn’t quite as time efficient as Starbucks. You will see why people are willing to wait, however. This place is likely the closest thing you’re going to get to a crazy Japanese premium coffee house in the Pacific Northwest, and you won’t regret trying it—except for that you’ll want it again and again!“

I recently moved to a different part of Eugene, and this will 100% be a frequent nearby stop from now on :) I ordered a champurrado, which I'd never heard of, and the staff kindly explained that it's a thicker hot chocolate-all I needed to hear ? Added a shot, and ordered a pastry that was delivered to me nice and warm! 10/10 experience, and I'll definitely be ordering more champurrados in the future! “

“Stay Woke is hands down my favorite coffee in town. Everything I've tried has been delicious and not overly sweet. I like my coffee drinks to still taste like coffee. The witch's brew is my fav. Also, they use coffee icecubes in their iced coffees! The staff is fantastic. You can tell they all enjoy working there. Fun and playful but not the in your face corporate mandated customer service type of way. 100% recommendation.“

“Sparrow Nest is my daily go-to. I’m all in for the salted Carmel iced latte, but more enjoyable is the experience. The staff is so sweet- everyone goes above and beyond. I love buying good coffee from stellar people. Adam’s recommendations never disappoint (everyone must have the pesto egg croissant sandwich) Holly never fails to start the day with some pep in her step (and subsequently mine), and Sunny is ever thoughtful. I would recommend this shop to everyone! Pop in the doors to the Miner Building and find your new favorite downtown oasis. 💛
P.S.- the building now has new life and bustle, thanks to this shop.

“Excellent coffee from a local roaster. Introduced to me by a member of my family. I ended up buying a bag (Ethiopia Yergacheffe) for an employee of mine, and they even helped grind it for her (since she doesn't have a grinder). She loved it! Grabbed a five pound bag for myself and they were able to make sure it got to me in time to bring it home to Malaysia. Definitely recommend this coffee - this specific roast/variety especially!“

They made it absolutely AMAZING, as always. Well, I got home, and I tripped and fell over my cat and my coffee went literally EVERYWHERE. Carpet, kitchen floor, on my boots. I was really upset. I spent maybe 30 minutes scrubbing everything and got back in my rig and went back to buy another. No biggy. I told the girls what had happened and they remade my drink free, and wrote this kind message for me that says, "hope your day gets better" which made my whole day better. I stopped going to the big chain coffee stands and I have been coming here for almost 2 months because their coffee is the absolute BEST, hands down. Best coffee in Eugene. Thank you so much! ❤️“

“Sharing something I just wrote about on my personal page. Thank you to the young woman who put a smile on my face! A girl I’d never met before made my day today. I was over by my old house and decided to go to Java Generations to get a Mexican mocha. I went there almost every day for just shy of 20 years. It’s been about 9 months and, to be honest, I was geeky excited about it. Definitely smiling. She handed me my coffee and turned around to ring me up. Then stopped and said “you know, I have to tell you…you have the most amazing smile. You are a very beautiful person”. I’m obviously not a super model, so it threw me off guard. Usually I would get awkward if that happened. Instead I thanked her and told her how sweet she was. I guess I’m sharing this because people should pay attention to how much those out of the blue compliments mean to someone. I’ve made a point of complimenting strangers if I notice something. Like everyone, I could do it more often. Just something to think about 🥰“
