“Just had one of the best experiences of my life at Lilia. Do yourself a favor and do NOT miss the tasting menu, which rotates weekly. It was an incredible value, and more importantly there was not one single disappointing dish in the 8-course lineup. Some stand outs were the amberjack crudo in aguachile: the fish was incredible and cut so pretty, and the aguachile was just the brightest and tastiest i’ve ever had. The quesadilla with huitlacoche, sprouting broccoli and marinated radish: never having tried huitlacoche I was shocked at how decadent and rich it tasted… every flavor in the dish worked like magic with the others. The pork collar: as soon as I touched a piece of the pork collar confit it fell apart under my fork, cooked to perfection. Like the carnitas of your dreams. And the chocolate & salted hazelnut tart with kumquats: probably the most interesting combinations of flavors and textures in any dessert I’ve tried… the kind of experience that’s just delightful every time you take another bite. Every dish was just a surprising explosion of flavors and beauty. This is exciting food. Absolutely no letdowns with the service (every staff member was enthusiastic and knowledgeable) and the ambience as well, but the food is truly mind-blowing.Vegetarian options: Every ingredient is treated like the star in these dishes, which means the vegetarian dishes were a burst of flavor, spice and texture. I had the roasted fennel with fennel harissa and the white asparagus with salsa pipián, pickled rhubarb and morel mushrooms and both were just excellent.“
“I love love love this place! The tacos are my favorite - handmade corn tortillas surround the tastiest fillings - I have no favorite as they are all equally delicious. And agua frescas are the perfect companion (pro tip - take it all home and add blanco tequila for a tasty adult beverage) Ans the people who work there are kind and friendly. 11 out of 10 every time!“
“I had been meaning to eat here but I finally made it the other day! The weather was perfect so I ordered and went to sit at the outside seating area. The chicken torta was good! I was super impressed by the bread and it all tasted very fresh. I also had their horchata and would order both again! I will be back for more!“
“this place is awesome!! Guilhermo is an incridible owner and the food is the best food in town. There's no way to go wrong with thier carne assada guys!! whatever you buy from here you won't regret.Kid-friendliness: every time I get my kids in, we have no complaints.“
“Delicious and the atmosphere was so clean and inviting! Everyone was friendly! We saw crowds of families, people on a date and teenagers there as well. Truly a great place for everyone!Kid-friendliness: Fast and delicious! Easy to accommodate requests for kiddos.“
“I went to the food cart location and saw they now have gone brick and mortar. How exciting!! I had their street tacos and some Birria Consomé. Sooo super yummy!!There was plenty of parking and it is wheelchair accessible. The place looks clean. Hands down, these are the best street tacos I've ever had!“
“This is a top tier breakfast burrito! And better yet, they have high quality coffee to pair with it. This little trailer’s menu is varied and offers healthier choices, too, such as bowls and smoothies. Plus the ladies here are so nice. I’ll definitely be back.“
“Good barbacoa is hit & miss around portland. The barbacoa here is legit, and I should probably order something else, but I don't.But they have this sauce... it's a bright orange, probably habañero based sauce. It's so good. It's got the perfect spice kick to get you sweating.Listen Morty, you might think a pop culture reference in a google review is cliché, but YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE SAUCE! It's not like a normal sauce, it-it-*buurrrp* it's something people would fight a war over! And they would be right! I'd give at least 100 other people's lives for this sauce Morty listen to me“
“We live near the French Quarter food cart pod and Taco Express is a cart that we frequent every time we come (and that's often)! The kids love the breakfast burrito, their tacos are delicious, and seriously the fries are the best of anywhere in the Village! Friendly service and convenient hours. Love this place!“
“Great service, great pricing, and a BIG selection of pan dulce. They even took a special order for empanadas! The tortillas are made in house, and are very large(street style, but with a larger shell). The tortas are GIGANTIC, easily lunch for two. What a gem!“
“The best Mexican food cart by far. I always get tacos and they've never let me down. Super quick and delicious every time. The man running the cart is always very nice and sometimes gives me extra food. This is always my go-to when I'm craving Mexican food.“
“Ate at Dita's Peruvian food truck. Fabulous sandwich and plantain side. Hardly anyone there at 12:30 on a Friday so the rest of Portland was definitely missing out! Highly recommended. We'll be back soon.Parking: We found easy parking on a side street 1-2 minutes walk from Portland Mercado.“
“This place is absolutely unbelievable. I grew up in the central valley in California. We had great mexican food. This place blows it all out of the water. I legitimately get excited about coming here every time I go for lunch. And I leave so happy. Its hard to describe how great the food here is. I love the tacos - - the carne asda and al pastor are unreal. I don't know what I would do without Taqueria la Marquesa. It's that good. And the people are super nice too. Its a remnant of home for me. Thanks TLM. You're the best mexican restaurant in Oregon in my opinion.“
“I enjoyed the carnitas burrito and the free salsa! cute location with the fire pit. I thought the rice/insides of the burrito could've used more flavor but the carnitas was well cooked and not too greasy. I'll try again soon! also enjoyed the warm and open demeanor of the person taking orders ?“
“I was in Portland from out of state for a conference and Tacos Frita catered one of the meals. I loved their vegan and gluten free tacos and the pinto beans were the best I've had. I had to have their food again so I went to the food truck. Very nice people, great customer service!“
“Coming from LA it's hard to beat some bomb Mexican food and especially tamales. The Oaxaca tamales were some of the top tamales I've ever had. Price is reasonable as well. Definitely will be returning as it has become a go to stop for tamales “
“As someone who was spoiled with amazing authentic Mexican and Guatemalan food for almost a decade in LA and Phoenix, this is the spot. So far I’ve had the chimichanga, the machete and the birria tacos. All insanely good. So much flavor. And their churros are filled with some type of magic sauce. I’m staring at this just cup that came with the birria tacos debating whether to save it for a marinade or just shamelessly drink it. Do not ever let this place go out of business. This is an institution and Portland needs to take notes.“
“First off, the customer service is great. They are so nice and even when they are slammed, they do an impressive job knocking out orders. The food is incredible. They make really good burritos but I'm going more and more for the tacos. The tacos are loaded with meat and delicious. I've always believed that if you can do pastor right you are probably a really good spot, and they have a really good pastor. The tortillas are great. The guacamole salsa is really good and so are the rest of them. Just overall, a great little cart.“
“Delicious Cali burrito and their pastor is top notch. We try A LOT of Mexican food and food trucks in the Portland area and their pastor is definitely very high up on the "Best in Portland" list for sure. They are very friendly and welcoming here.“
“Awesome food!! The owner was also SO friendly and kind, she greeted me with a huge smile. The food portions are quite generous and delicious! The kimchi is also super bubbly and fresh I couldn’t get enough. The prices are also the best I saw among all the others. For the quality, amount of food and super friendly owner I can definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back!! 맛있어요!“
“It was bomb and we got there almost at closing time...but that's not all there were a couple more customers that arrived after closing and instead of turning them away like other places will they reheated their skillet brought out the meats that they had already put away. And didn't turn a hungry customer away I loved it...and they were super nice to my baby lol“
“They used to be at East Port food cars on 82nd but now they move inside fopo tavern 5902 se foster rd same delicious food like before and the best part is now I can get food until late (tacos. quesatacos, burritos, tortas, bowls wings , pork belly asada, pastor, carnitas, chorizo, Birria and yes they do have veggie options so if you get a chance stop by“
“I’m here at least once a week! I can’t get enough! Great tacos and sides! Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service.A great place to dine alone or with your friends /family. The staff and food are pure gems. I will always get my tacos here.❤️“
“A good alternative to the popular chain Mexican place down the street. The food is fresh, tasty and you have options of burritos, tacos, bowls and taco bowl. The guy who served my food was super sweet. I feel the price is really good especially downtown which is getting pricey for lunch. I had a carne asada bowl and it was plenty of food and good for my tummy. No extra charge to add guac too! I would come here again and try the other dishes.“
“4/5 is only because the California burrito had undercooked potatoes. The guacamole and chips on the other hand were phenomenal and because of this led to me finishing it first before finishing the burrito. Glad I did. You also get sizable servings on the guac. Well with the price. The atmosphere is due to the fact it's in downtown Portland. As of January 2024, it's still rough especially after the recent ice storm we had in the area.“
“This is the greatest burrito in all of Oregon. I was lost and now I am found. As soon as I took my first bite a single tear formed in my eye, tastiness like I had never known surged through my body. I tried to take a photo but we ate the burritos with such speed that it was simply impossible. The food, the salsa, the atmosphere and the service was the best of anything I've tried in all of Oregon. Please do yourself a favor and go to Taqueria El Paisano.“
“I'm kinda bummed about my experience at OCB today. I took my S/O here as it seemed well rated for both their beers and food options. The beer and food were good, but I don't think I'll come back based on the crowd/patrons. When we arrived, the place seemed promising and busy. The covered patio area was pretty, unsurprisingly packed on a Friday, plus didn't notice if they had heaters. (Edit: they do have heaters, but I didn't see them.) It was a little chilly, so we elected to order beers and food and eat inside. Despite sitting next to one another, we couldn't really hear each other talk. This place was loud/echoey with normal patron conversations, with some screaming/playing children inside added on top. When the loud table next to us left, another family showed up with their kids using the seating as a jungle gym, taking chairs from our table, etc. Maybe if you have free range kids, this place is your jam. The Ukrainian Golden Ale was super tasty - loved the hint of savory from the sunflower seeds. The Leather Bound Brown was ok - not my favorite. They did have a huge variety of taps which was promising. Bartenders were also nice, despite being very busy. Also, my Bulgogi from the truck outside was yummy. I would try their beer again sometime, but will probably skip this spot. Edit: The business owner reached out to me with a thoughtful response right after I shared my experience, trying to address my comments and encouraging me to give them another try. I'll try and swing back through, on a less busy night. Adding a star for the response. Thanks!“
“Service is excellent! Very friendly and efficient. The menu is extensive and will take time to work through, but the breakfast burritos, tacos, loaded fries, consome, tortillas, and Mexican pizza we’ve had have been excellent. The salsas are all good, but the jalapeno salsa stands out as amazing. Don Chuys is a new staple in our Oregon City favorites.“
“A lovely restaurant offering delicious dishes and captivating storytelling + explanation. I appreciate how this ethnic-based establishment embodies cultural depth through its soulful cuisine. I was very ignorant about Mexican cuisine and feel like I learned so much through this dinner. Oh their desserts were incredibly tasty with full of different textures and flavors.Despite minor hiccups, the majority of their services were commendable. Upon booking the chef's counter, I anticipated a typical counter dining experience, but it was more like tables closer to the kitchen with a view, which I liked it more than what I imagined as a counter seating.“
“Absolute perfection. The food is EXACTLY what you want when your craving Mexican food. The portions are generous, flavor is on point, cooked to perfection. There’s honestly no reason to go anywhere else. If you haven’t eaten here yet, it really is as good as it’s been made out to be. It’s very difficult to maintain above a 4.5 star review in our hyper-critical age, so they fact they’ve maintained a 4.8 with so many reviews is quite outstanding and speaks for itself.“
“I stumbled across their mobile food truck walking home from PSU like 7 years ago and haven't found better burritos since They are always super friendly and haven't messed up my order once, which is impressive as that happens all the time with other places! They're probably the only reason I come into Portland anymore.“
“Had delicious brunch here while staying on vacation. Was an easy walk from the riverfront. Service was kind, the food was spectacular if you’re just looking for simple/easy. I ordered the Cuban coffee but didn’t realize it was super sweet already and added sugar. That was my fault as I should’ve tasted it before. Prices were ok but I appreciate them keeping their doors open after all this city has experienced. Will return!“
“The young man taking orders was so polite and took the time to explain some of the memu items. We ended up getting the beef birria tacos with consume and the meat was so tender and full of flavor. We also got chicken Panuchos which was so fresh and colorful with cabbage and pickled onions creamy black beans and seasoned chicken it was so filling. The sauces were delicious especially the guacamole one. This was a great experience and the food was excellent. Try this place out you won't regret it“
“It's a winner , cash only (or 1$)... I wish I had brought more cash with me ..Salsa verde was the best I've had in a long time so perfect, this food was the highlight of my adventures today.. they have an indoor eating space where they keep the salsa verdeParking: It's attached to another store is parking lot that they share so busyness can vary whether or not it's going to be crowded in that parking lot, I couldn't find a space to park in originally but I eventually did.. you might Park a block away and walk over..“
“We’ve been coming here since they opened! We will never go somewhere else! Amazing options for everybody! Meat eaters and vegetarians will never go hunger here! They are the friendliest and kindhearted family. Thank you so much for the sweatshirts, we love them!“
“You know how you usually think of tamales as dry and generally lacking flavor? NOT this place!!! I've had their mole and their verde chicken tamales, and both are tender, moist, and PACKED full of flavor. I can't say enough good things about this food cart. The home made tortillas they use for their tacos are probably one of the best things I've put into my mouth and their al pastor was juicy, flavorful, and delicious. The lady working the food cart was amazing, gave me a complementary taste of their hibiscus agua fresca, and encouraged me to take a load off in their cute little outdoor space. Do yourself a favor and stop by, you won't regret it!!“
“Just a straight up no frills tasty $9.50 burrito. I got al pastor and what I loved was the pork was juicy and in larger pieces, which is a little different than a lot of taco trucks do it. Service was great too. I waited just a little longer than expected for my order (nothing out of the ordinary for Portland), so they gave me a free bottled coke. That's people who know great service. I'll be back when I need another burrito fix.“
“I call my order ahead of time and bike over. The tacos are top notch. I am obsessed with the fried chicken and al pastor chicken tacos. Their tacos are packed with filling and lots of meat. The pineapples go great with the al pastor chicken! The sauce on the fried chicken enhances the flavor nicely. One of my fave food carts. The covered area is nice to eat under. Plus you can get free salsa or hot sauce if you like. Reasonably priced for the high quality ingredients and friendly service.“
“The tacos are amazing. I ordered asada, pollo , lengua and tripe tacos. The lengua were my favorite but all of them were amazing. i had some green and red sauce on the side and normally I don't like the red sauce much and prefer the green but the red sauce has the perfect heat and it's slightly smoky with good flavor. As long as they keep this quality I won't go anywhere else for a taco again.“
“Amazing tacos! Filled to the brim with Carne Asada…wonderful salas. Very nice people…great customer service. She wrapped my tacos beautifully so I could tuck them under my cycling jacket and transport them safely home where I devoured them.“
“Food was great, a decent beer & cider on tap selection. Service was quick and welcoming. Got 4 of the street tacos, they use one tortilla instead of two but very filling if you get 4-6. Prices were standard. The nacho platter was $12.5] but it was mountain with great toppings.“
“Pupusas! I just wanted to try one of these for the first time, and El Porvenir did not disappoint. I had the chicharrón pupusa with delicious salsas for $6 and was surprised to find it satisfying without being too heavy. Wonderful flavor and texture.Look forward to another visit to try the chef’s other specialties.“
“Monica with Le Torito catered a party for me and she did a wonderful job! The food was so delicious! She arrived on time, supplied everything, and came back later to pick everything up. It was all so easy & I recommend them for your next event that you need catered. Thank you.“
“Excellent every time I eat here and the staff are friendly! I usually get some variation of the vegetarian burrito but today I got veggie + steak and guac, it was so good! I've dined in a few times and it's cozy and very casual, service has always been quick. Go here!“
“My partner and I spent our Valentine's Day dinner here. It was a nice experience and I'd return for another special occasion. The food was extremely fresh and well prepared. Mi Cava exceeded all of my expectations. My partner, who is very particular about any place we dine, also had a wonderful experience. The service alone was excellent. The menu kicked everything up a notch on the flavor scale. The drinks were well balanced and strong with a few surprising twists. Well done!“
“I love this restaurant it is my favorite place in Portland. Me and my boyfriend moved to Portland a few months ago and we’ve been getting food here so often ever since! The food is absolutely delicious. Very reasonably priced. My boyfriend says they are always extremely nice whenever he goes and gets the food. I always ask to eat here, and I’m so excited because we get to order from here tonight. Thank you for the amazing food and service it can’t be beat!“
“Ordered the birria burrito, and it was honestly the best burrito I've ever had! The meat was fall apart tender. I got it with both red and green sauce. The red sauce is creamy, and SO hot. I love super spicy food, so it was perfect, but this would definitely be too spicy for some people. I usually love green sauce, and this sauce was fine, but the meat inside the burrito was so flavorful that I didn't need it at all. First time trying Lani's, I actually found it via Doordash, as one of the only places open for delivery at almost 3am. My expectations were low because it was the middle of the night, but this place truly shocked me with an incredibly delicious burrito at 3am.“
“Amazing tacos, the homemade tortillas were perfectly soft and delicious. Quesabirria dorada is only served on weekdays, so we got tacos de chivo and they were amazing, with perfect flavor. Their homemade salsas are the best I've had in Portland, and really bring another level to these already perfect tacos. I can't wait to go back and try the quesabirria ?“
“From the moment we stepped into Todo Taco, we knew we were in for a treat. The highlight of our dining experience had to be the phenomenal birria tacos. Each bite was a perfect blend of flavors, making them some of the best we’ve ever savored. But let's not stop there; the chicken wings were unlike any other I've had in Portland – perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a flavor that keeps you coming back for more. The margaritas deserve a special mention as well. Handcrafted with precision, each sip was a refreshing blend of quality ingredients, proving that the art of a great margarita hasn't been lost. Additionally, the salsa selection was on point, offering a variety of options to complement every dish with just the right kick. The ambiance of Todo Taco was made even more enjoyable by the fantastic bartender who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of perfect. Their friendly and attentive service added a personal touch to our visit, making us feel truly welcomed. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Portland and in search of an exceptional dining experience, Todo Taco is a must-visit. Whether it’s for the mouthwatering birria tacos, the exceptional chicken wings, the handcrafted margaritas, or the inviting atmosphere, you're in for a real treat. Go and see for yourself why Todo Taco is a cut above the rest!“
“To me it is heartbreaking that the covid has left so many restaurants with no seating inside. I am coming to the point where I will not go back to any place that has no restroom for the public.Parking: Wonderful parking but no need the lobbies not open. So if you want to go through the drive-thru and come around and park and eat in the parking lot you can. But another part of covid is that no one has outdoor garbage anymore so the garbage from your meal you have to take with you.“
