“I never would’ve found this place if Energy Trust of Oregon hadn’t sent me over to propose a ductless mini split heat pump for the owner.
I didn’t win the project, but I did get introduced to this production kitchen that has a retail window where it serves the most amazing authentic Mexican food in Portland. I can’t drive by now without stopping. So yum! I may not have won the job, but God was still so good!“

“My wife brought me here for my 70th birthday. She asked, "where would you like to go?" "Surprise me.", I told her. Oh my! My grandmother from Puebla, Mexico would have loved this place. The tortillas were fresh, Handmade! I ordered the Pozole. Oh so rich and fragrant and bustling with pork, hominy and a very wonderful broth. Did I mention the tortillas?? Oh Lord!! I plan to bring my three adult children here for my son's birthday. I plan to eat my way through the menu, over the course of the next year or so. I can see that there are many others who love this place. The entire time we were having dinner, there was a steady stream of people coming in for takeout. Yep, this is a gem of a restaurant. Come enjoy.“

“Raul is a magician! He cooks his grandmother's recipes, turning out food that is down right addicting!.. and friendly on the wallet. I eat here at least once, if not twice and sometimes three times a week. This, after trying 90% of the mexican trucks within a 2 mile radius, Neza is by far the best around(possibly the best in town). If you didn't know, go find out for yourself.“

“This place is 🔥 🔥 🔥. Took a road trip from central CA to Seattle, stopped in Portland for 2 nights, so glad we did. The food was amazing. One of the best food carts we tried in the Hawthorne Asylum was Texicano was definitely my favourite. I had the Taco Loco Tacos, I am now craving them and want more. My husband had the chicken bowl and the ingredients fresh and the flavor was amazing. We hope to be back soon. Bummer it's not in Cali.“

“My friend and I were looking to see what to find to eat and we came across this place! And it looked like a pretty cool good looking affordable place! When you see a writing and white board, you know the food is going to be good! And we were right! We ordered nachos and MAAAAN best nachos I ever had. Or maybe because we had drank but even then they were so good! You can tell they friend the tortillas! I’m not a guac person but their guac was so good! They did not disappoint at all! So good! “Visited this great new addition to our neighborhood in SW Portland. Have tried the Taco Supreme, Quesadilla, and Cochinita Tacos and look forward to working my way through the other items on the menu. The Cochinita dishes showcase wonderful delicious shredded pork as the protein. The Horchata was also extremely well made and one of the best I've had in Portland. Mama Chio Rocks!“

“We really enjoyed our dinner at Tequeria. The server was very polite, patient, and informative. We were really impressed with the food being such great quality and made fresh and you could taste the freshness in the salsas which they had 5 different choices that were all so good, my favorite being the habanero because I like it spicy. We will definitely be back. Jesus was our server and he was so nice.“

“It's a food truck- (not on burnside) with an open air canopy patio! Maybe take that in mind when deciding where to eat your legendary burrito- their food is to die for! While not ultra traditional nor Mexi Cali in spicy levels it certainly isnt just Tex-Mex it's the perfect marriage of Oregon and Mexico. There is Garlic in both the protein and delicious sauces! I was pleasantly suprised, they have excellent service and even better food. Gods I feel like I am going to roll home on my stomach now. Muchas gracias Saint Burrito 🖤“

“Appetizer selection is priced a bit high. Lunch menu is ample and a good value. Dinner has a dedicated Kids menu. The range is from ala carte portions to regular plate meals to large combo dinners to Feast sized platters in styles common in specific regions of Mexico. Bountiful seafood selections. Everyone is pleasant and personable. I never feel rushed and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, appreciate friendly and efficient service and the wonderful food. Burritos are excellent. Chili relleno is authentic and absolutely delicious.“

“Taco Bell is Taco Bell.
That is not an insult. That is the point.
Sometimes you want something fast, hot, affordable, and familiar. Taco Bell usually delivers on that. The menu is easy, the food is consistent, and when you are hungry, a burrito, tacos, or a Crunchwrap can solve the problem.
That said, keeping the sauces behind the counter makes no sense.
The sauces are part of Taco Bell. That is half the experience. Mild, Hot, Fire, Diablo — people know what they like, and nobody wants to ask for sauce like they are requesting office supplies.
Especially with prices going up everywhere, little things like that matter. If customers are already paying more, at least let them grab the sauces without turning it into a negotiation.
The food is still good for what it is. The staff keeps things moving. The order is usually reliable.
But free the sauces.
Four stars.“
