“Food tasted very fresh and the flavors were wonderful. They have a dispenser on the tables with mixed spices (not spicy), and one with spicy contents. I used the non-spicy powder on my Chow Mein and I was loving the flavor combinations. They also used this powder on our king oyster mushroom BBQ skewers. I think what stood out most to me was the menu variety. I admittedly couldn’t order most items because of dietary restrictions and the large amount of spicy foods, but I still love to see so many uncommon options.“

“I will die on the hill that Cully Central is one of the best food spots in Portland and easily in my top 5, possibly top 3! I see other reviews say it's too salty- I love salty/savory so if you don't, keep that in mind. The Nam Khao is my favorite and I genuinely feel sad whenever I finish it because there isn't more. Second favorite is the Tom Yum. Amazing on a cold and rainy day. Lao sausage- amazing. Wings- delicious. Everything I've tried has been flav-or-ful. “My husband and I wanted to venture out and check out a new sushi spot. We tend to always visit the same place in Vancouver and chose to try something in Portland. I came across this restaurant on Yelp and saw it had great reviews so we thought we’d make our way out. It’s located off of 122nd and it’s next to a little corner store market. Very easy to miss and parking lot is very small. We were the only ones in there when we walked in. An Asian male greeted us right away and allowed us to pick any table to sit at. He brought over waters and played and utensils while we looked over the menu. There was quite a bit of options for the sushi and bento dishes, as well as the other Chinese food options. We order chicken gyoza, katsu chicken (which came with miso soup), 2 different sushi rolls and the chicken lo mein. Everything tasted fresh and the food items were all delicious. My husband loved all the dishes and rated everything a 5-star. The service was great and the restaurant was small and clean. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.“

“Went here for dumpling week this year. The special duck dumplings were perfect with the combination of sweet and spicy. The miso twinkie was the perfect sweet treat after the spice of the dumplings. Excited to come back and try more of their food.“

“Honestly one of the best teriyaki spots I’ve tried. The portions are super generous and the chicken is perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and slightly charred in the best way. The teriyaki sauce is amazing too, not overly sweet and packed with flavor.

The rice and salad were fresh, and everything tasted really well balanced. You can tell they care about the quality of the food.

I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re craving good teriyaki.

“Wonderful street food and cocktail vibes.... backlit holes in the dark walls give a delightful ambiance to a Short Round visit. Every time we drop in, we make an attempt to try something different, and I have yet to be disappointed. I've somehow missed out on becoming a wing connousieur, but I'm turning into a big fan of the ones here. So far, we haven't gone wrong with whatever drink special they have, any random Thai dish that sounds interesting, and an order of wings. Short Round is quickly becoming a favorite spot when we're looking for something quick and genuinely tasty. Ordering at the counter and taking a number to your table makes service quick and painless.“

“Just had my first visit here and it was so good. The vegan pork belly is something I would have never ordered, but so glad my daughter did because it was amazing!! I got the fried rice which was also really good, and had asked them to add broccoli. Most places just toss a couple pieces on top when you make this request, but Van Hanh put a ton of perfect bite sized broccoli all through my fried rice. Perfect, and much appreciated by this broccoli lover. We will definitely be back!“

“I just tried this place for the first time today and was not disappointed! I was really craving teriyaki and scanned some places nearby. I was really grateful this place popped up because it is now one of my favorite places to eat. The service was excellent. The lovely lady answered all of our questions kindly and the whole place was clean and looked really pretty in the late afternoon sun. They had free egg flower soup for dine-in customers and our order didn’t take long at all to wait for. The food is so delicious I wish I would have bought more so I can have leftovers later :)“

“The food here is delicious. We are vegan, and they have a separate menu that is dedicated to vegan dishes. Granted, I’m sure that these dishes are integrated into the regular menu. Though it’s nice to know without asking questions that they’re vegan.

“So happy to find reasonable pricing for really good dumplings! This was our first visit; the server was kind, made recommendations, and answered questions well. We ordered an assortment of items, and everything was good, some were amazing. My husband fell in love with the cucumber salad, and brothy bun. The only drawback was noise level; we were in mid day, 3:30ish, and were surprised how the voices carried in the room. Not only did it make the room loud, I felt a little self conscious. Outside of that, I would absolutely recommend a visit for some great food!“

“We traveled in out of town and ate at a couple of the restaurants on the main strip in Troutdale, and this was hands down the best. Super chill and upbeat environment, the young man who served us was super kind and attentive to our table. “Listen, this is the best place to eat on the planet. My boyfriend showed me this location a few months ago and mentioned that he actually went to Chang’s when it first opened back in 89’ in downtown Portland and has followed it around since. My exact thoughts were, “where have you been my entire life?” We try to eat here at least once a week (sometimes twice) and I honestly can’t get enough (although I can barely go back for seconds most of the time)! “Thai place that's kind of hole in the wall, and it's pretty good. I like to get pad woon sen, the noodles are very delicious. Pineapple fried rice was my previous go to before that, and what is good is that they will substitute brown rice so that's helpful for dietary restrictions. I'm a regular and so occasionally they have surprised me with some small snacks when I get the receipt like a mandarin or a cookie. I liked that :)

“This is our favorite place. This particular location is extraordinary. I’m not a chain restaurant fan typically , but this location is above and beyond. I’ve stopped at other locations and it’s not comparable. The food is extra flavorful, the staff is deeply kind and accommodating. I highly recommend it. The pho has deep flavor , the potstickers are perfectly crispy, golden brown and stuffed with tasty filling. Even the pickled vegetables are super flavorful and not at all an afterthought. It’s affordable and efficient, the lighting is green and the seating is comfy with plenty of room, booths and nice wooden tables“

“Stir-fried veggies with choice of protein was stellar with the large portion size, fresh veggies, barbecue grilled chicken & sauce. It was ready in less than 5 minutes. I didn't even get a chance to sit down before it was ready! I'll be back. While you're in the plaza parking lot, see if VAN can get you in for a pedicure at Miracle Nails and Spa. She's so gentle with me, the scaredy-cat 😂“

“CLEAN RESTAURANT! Wow! I cannot remember seeing a restaurant so spotlessly clean. It's obvious there is a great pride of ownership and care with this restaurant.

And.. The food was wonderful. I had a delicious yellow curry that had just the right amount of spice and flavor. I'm going back next time to try out their Massaman Curry!

Service was also excellent with a very friendly lady. I'm an out of towner, and I could not help but notice how many local folks where coming in eating as well.

“The staff here is wonderful. It has the hometown feel that I grew up with and love about the Portland area that is not as common as it used to be. I go here for lunch breaks and the service is very fast and always friendly. I always get the teriyaki chicken bowl which is fresh and good. If I decide to play video poker they bring me my food and it's always exactly as I order it.“
