“We were there for the first time on the evening of January 10, 2026. We sat at the bar for a bit because we were a little early for our reservation. Michelle brought us a couple of beers and we ordered a plate of six oysters. She chatted cheerfully with us while she busily poured drinks for others and then introduced us to her two sons and a son’s girlfriend, who all also work there. Everyone was so friendly and kind! When our table was ready, Michelle thanked us for being there and said that it was great to meet us. At our table, we ordered another half dozen oysters, a caesar salad, a couple more beers, and two big bowls of cioppino. Absolutely delicious with the large, thick slices of freshly-made garlic bread for dunking. This place is a true gem. Four generation of family working there and their love for the place and what they do shows. Can’t wait to go back!!“

seductively smoky, delicious fatty lamb was paired with really crispy crunchy yet soft potatoes and some clearly organic high quality seasonally harvested grilled spring onions. and that was it.

i was surprised and sad to find that my $40 entree had absolutely no acid apart from the slightly sheepishly out of place bottle of tabasco to balance the overwhelming richness of the flavors.

the gnocchi had a similar story where all the ingredients and preparations were top class but way too rich and unbalanced to finish satisfyingly.

the pannisa was actually cool but ultimately too dry. the seasonal bee pollen and local honey barely got noticed because of how much liquid i had to drink to be able to swallow the bite.

drinks were top notch, the salad that we were recommended was excellent and there was absolutely plenty more to like, but it was like someone put on a bunch of extremely high quality clothes but without any forethought of how the end outfit would look like. and almost as if he knew, the waiter never once even checked or asked how we liked the food or drink.

ultimately, it is undeniable that there is talent working the kitchen here and the owner cares about sourcing and using quality ingredients. the final detail to focus on would be making sure the elements come together to make all the effort more satisfyingly acknowledgeable.“

“We met some friends for dinner after not seeing them for some time. Kasia was our waitress. She was a delight. We stayed longer than normal, catching up with friends. She did a great job never saying its time for you to leave. Didn't interupt our dinner, just kept everything coming like it should“

“We made reservations for 7pm, but got there over an hour early. They had plenty of seating on a Friday and let us sit on the patio, which had a good view of Lakewood Bay. The service was courteous and prompt. The food selection was good (small discrepancy between the menu at the bottom of the stairs and the one given us). The Roasted Sturgeon was cooked well, seasoned nicely, had a lovely little swirl of citrus flavor that complimented it, and the asparagus and risotto were excellent sides. The Mahi Mahi was flavorful and the coconut broth was delicious. Highly recommend.“

“Steve & I dined at Feast tonight, for what turned out to be a very busy (somewhat unexpectedly so) night. They were down several staff persons, but those there were very friendly and making the best of it. Patience is a virtue! We were rewarded with an awesome meal! I just wanted something light, so I ordered skewer and toast which was a delicious combination of filet Mignon skewered and laying on focaccia toast and some wonderful sauces & microgreens. It was perfect! I also had coconut shrimp cup which was delicious as well. Several wonderfully coated shrimp (not in a cup but laying on some lovely salad leaves with yummy sauce.)Steve had the meatloaf with Brussels sprouts which was very filling and tasty. Those in the service business work so hard and we sometimes need to give people some grace… Kudos to the Feast staff!“

“It is difficult to find a good and decent noodle house these days. Portland used to have one excellent noodle house in Chinatown, but it has since been closed. This restaurant has plenty of seating. When we went there, there were no other customers dining. Perhaps we went there at off hours of the day, I can't remember.

The lady who worked there that day was very nice and polite. My husband tried the superbowl noodle soup with roasted duck, stewed beef and roast pork. I had the classic beef chow fun. My chow fun dish was good. I could definitely add a little salt to suit my taste. My husband's noodle soup had the right kind of egg noodle at an authentic chinese noodle house. But he complained about the stewed beef being inedible. Most of the pieces were not meaty. The roast duck lacked the good duck flavor. I think the noodle broth was not clear enough and the flavor was lacking. My husband also thought there could have been more noodle as well especially he ordered the biggest bowl available.

I will definitely go back and try out other dishes, perhaps not the noodle soup.“
