The breakfast sandwich (~$6) and the croissant sandwich (~$8) I got were both refreshing and filling, and I got to sample some of another sandwich (~$14) which definitely I would have to take half home if I had it for myself. The ambiance was very relaxing and I could see myself doing an artistic venture here. I also had a latte which did the job for me. The highlight was the cannoli which I've never had before. But the ricotta cheese and the pastry puff complemented eachother perfectly and the choice of almonds, chocolate chips, and pistachios at the ends of the cannoli made a fun pizzaz. would love to come back more frequently if I lived closer!“

“I have been searching in America for the best almond croissant. East, Central, South, and East Coast. Every time there is some stupid TikTok craze that completely ruins the business, you have tourists, influencers, and even annoying wannabes—just taking pictures and being sucked into the continuous wave of social media pollution. This does not mean the bakery is good or even the baker is good at what they do.

I'm happy to announce that if you want to experience a French-style croissant, which I'm reviewing. You have found it. This place correctly double bakes the croissant and has the even butter flow as squish the dough. Thank you! You have mastered it, and this was the next level. “I will continue to drive to this location, as every time I’ve gone I’ve had perfect cookies and friendly service. A new location opened up closer to me, and I laughed out loud seeing how terrible a photo of a cookie was in a review from that location! I told my partner and he said that apparently it’s a thing online for people to make videos about how “bad” their crumbl cookies are and how much they don’t look like the photo—which I have to say has simply never happened at Lake Oswego. Every time, every cookie, it’s consistent: looks like the photo, tastes good, and employees are efficient but not in the rude way. I try to hold off on doing reviews on chains like this, as rating is so contingent on high-turnover hourly staff and what management is in place at the time, so reviews can be so skewed. But when it’s so definitive of a positive/negative experience, it’s obvious that it’s the leadership behind the experience/product quality being provided by the hourly workers, meaning it’s likely to stay the same for an extended time. I hope things continue to stay positive at LO location because I appreciate the reliable good quality :D

“Baker and Spice is simply the best! The fresh bread is out of this world, and I’m especially partial to the Hillsdale loaf—it’s my absolute favorite. Working in the same shopping center means I stop in way more than I should admit, but I can’t help it! The staff is always kind and friendly, which makes every visit a pleasure.

The pastries are delightful as well; they truly know how to satisfy a sweet tooth! I'm so happy they’ve extended their hours and now stay open until 5 PM. It makes it easier to swing by in the afternoon. Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious baked goods!“

“My husband, a bread-baker, ordered flour from Tabor Bread and so we drove across town to pick it up. I had never been to their Belmont location. When we walked in at 2:15, a nice young lady told us they closed at 2:00. In spite of that, the staff then went overboard for us. They sold us his flour, then offered us something to eat and gave us coffee and hot cocoa. They were all kind, friendly and professional.“

“I've never taken the time to write a review for any business, but am pretty put off and have the time. Today is my husband's and my 11th wedding anniversary. We had Saint Cupcake at our wedding with a cupcake tower and wedding topper cake in 2011. To celebrate our 11 years of marriage, we went to go pick up cupcakes. Based on online information and the sign on the door, the business closes at 5pm on Saturdays. We arrived at 4:20PM - 40 minutes before closing. Both doors were shut and locked, but there were two employees inside and cupcakes on the back counters. They ignored us, even though I attempted to open each of the double doors - they wouldn't even look up. I knocked on the door and the woman sweeping reluctantly came and opened the door and told us that they had unfortunately closed early due to some issue. I tried to explain to her we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had had Saint Cupcake at our wedding 11 years prior. She said they didn't have much of a selection left anyway and closed the door on us. It was a shocking and weird interaction and I was really put off. I will never go out of my way to give Saint Cupcake my business again in the future. 👎👎“

Lovely service, phone and in-person.

I tell you my ditsy boyfriend dropped his wallet out in the front! Manager tried so hard she even went to trying to find him on Instagram to get a hold of him. Luckily I knew he was such a ditsy that he'd do something like drop his wallet in the parking lot. So upon calling lovely Jill, we found that sure enough he was indeed ditsy enough to drop it!

But in all, Jill was very lovely, the manager was very lovely, and this whole experience just goes to show how much their team is worth buying cakes from. Definitely going there again!

While this doesn't happen to everyone, supporting a team like this is 100% worth it.
