“Great experience. Had the bread and butter, duck confit, and orange cake. Duck confit was not super warm when served which was the only downside. However it fell apart, was flavorful, and had crispy skin like it should - so it was still very good... just wish it'd been warmer. The orange cake is delicious. The caramelized torched top gives it a crack and nice structure. Everything was well presented. Outstanding kitchen staff attention to detail. Server was lovely - non intrusive but very attentive. The server also provided other restaurant recommendations for my stay in Portland. The setting itself is also lovely. It's intimate but quiet. Would come back - great food and experience.“

“Our first visit to No Saint and definitely not our last. Clean cool inside with just enough decor to make you feel a little fancy. A wall of wine to choose from, good music and great staff. We had olives and cherries, bread, wine, pizza and dessert. All of it felt special and intentional with a lot of thought and love in to each item. I recommend a visit. We got there right when they opened and got a table right away. They do take reservations and probably is suggested later in the evening.“

“Took some friends from out of town here and it was the highlight of their trip. The food was amazing - we ordered the tea leaf salad, shan style pork noodles, 3 piece fried chicken, and braised pork ribs. Every entree was SO good and flavorful.
The person who served our food noticed that we had 4 at the table and brought out an extra pork rib since it only came with three. That was so incredibly kind and very thoughtful!!

“This was one of the most fantastic dining experiences I've ever had. Every single thing they brought to our table was surprising, flavorful, pure joy. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely seem to be connected to the food, its history, and culture. The menu changes every two months, so this is quite a feat. It is such a comfortable but chic restaurant. The tasting menu: you WILL get full and it's miraculous. The dinner course with the pandan rice, bamboo, lamb, is absolutely delicious and the beetroot bluefin tuna with herbs add on is such a fresh addition to the meal. (And get the starter oysters on right now with the watermelon granita, it's the perfect start, and with the coffee mouse with cookie and banana at the end, the whole meal is bookended beautifully.) I'll be dreaming about the cold coconut milk soup with cordiceps and nasturtium for a while. We did not do the drinks pairing (though they look great!) and just opted for a chenin blanc and a On Wednesdays We Wear Green, which were both perfect with the meal.
A few heads-up since Google is asking: it's a set chef's menu and they ask for your restrictions in advance. If you're not allergic or extremely aversive to anything, just go with the flow. Try things you aren't even sure if you'll like; the unique preparings are going to have you in awe. If you do have dietary limits, especially seafood/fish or coconut, this is not the dining experience for you. We are both blessed to be omnivores with no known allergies, so we were thrilled by everything.
This menu is only on until the end of October before it changes to something else I'm sure will be equally fantastic, but end to end this was just a treat of an experience.

“I've. eaten all over Southeast Asia including street amrt I've eaten at many Southeast Asian restaurants, including in Cambodia, Malaysia and Laos, and can unequivocally say this is one of the best meals I've ever had. “February 8th, 2026 menu & service was absolutely divine! Start to finish service and all staff present were absolutely charming and very attentive. Presentation was beautiful, the atmosphere felt very warm, cozy and inviting. Plates were absolutely stunning in all ways. The textures in each dish were just so perfect, exciting and unique. The flavors complimented each other so well and each course was perfectly balanced, flowing nicely into the next. Everything was absolutely perfect, the thrill of enjoying such technical yet plant based preperations genuinly brings tears of joy. Thank you so for so perfectly encapsulating the possibilities of plant based foods! 💚💚 We were happy to hear about the recipes staying and going from the menu, we couldn't agree more with the choices. The Kombucha pairings were magical. Meadowland was perfect. The respect payed to plants here, the absolutely mind blowing creativity that leaves you craving more, makes Astera stand out as a historical evolution for plant based flavor, technical creativity, creation, service and passion in the plant based realm in the U.S. Astera is heaven on earth. “We were there for the first time on the evening of January 10, 2026. We sat at the bar for a bit because we were a little early for our reservation. Michelle brought us a couple of beers and we ordered a plate of six oysters. She chatted cheerfully with us while she busily poured drinks for others and then introduced us to her two sons and a son’s girlfriend, who all also work there. Everyone was so friendly and kind! When our table was ready, Michelle thanked us for being there and said that it was great to meet us. At our table, we ordered another half dozen oysters, a caesar salad, a couple more beers, and two big bowls of cioppino. Absolutely delicious with the large, thick slices of freshly-made garlic bread for dunking. This place is a true gem. Four generation of family working there and their love for the place and what they do shows. Can’t wait to go back!!“

“Y'all, Bete-Lukas is not only the best Ethiopian food in the Portland metro area, but it's the restaurant with the warmest hospitality in the whole city. The friendly owners -- who you will see literally every time you go in -- are down to earth and kind. Their ingredients are selected carefully, and the injera is *actually* free of gluten. The veggie options are exceptional. If you haven't been there, go! Now!“

“Black Star Grill catered our wedding. They created an amazing menu and even delivered to our venue. Due to our covid concerns, they boxed each meal separately. This was very convenient to take home after the wedding. The food was DELICIOUS, even the staff loved the food. Many of our guests got to experience West African food for the first time. “I’m Mexican…..and I’ve been a harsh critic of tacos in Portland. This place hands down has the best tacos. I’m just speaking of what they do specifically. They perfected it. Handmade yellow corn tortillas, perfectly cooked meats. Even the potatoe taquitos are amazing.“

“A friend who is a noted chef recommended TarTuca. When it comes to beverages, TarTuca focuses on wine but they offer several craft cocktails and effortlessly handle off menu requests. For starters we had the lamb meatballs. My chef friend raved about the focaccia so we ordered that as well.
I chose the tagliatelle because I can't resist wild boar pasta. My wife went with the radiatori.
Our evening at Tartuga was really enjoyable. We loved the vibe of the place. The music was wonderful. The staff was very supportive and great. Our cocktails were very good. We enjoyed them.
I was going to pass on the focaccia bread because it was $9, but my friend said it was amazing. So we had to try it and I'm so glad we did because it ended up being the most fun thing of the night for me.
The wife wanted to try the lamb meatballs and they were better than I expected. Pastas were really good.
The wild boar pasta was like $34. My wife's pasta was like $27. I think hers is a much better bang for the buck. In fact, if I could wave my magic wand, I'd have her pasta and just add wild boar to it.
All in all, I think TarTuca is a really good joint. Check it out.“

“So, I'll start by noting that Korean cuisine is not generally my first/favorite choice, but if friends or family want I'll go along.
However, this restaurant may have changed my mind.
As noted on the AI summary, service is attentive and the restaurant has tables and decor that can accommodate different occasions.
I'd never had cold pork belly before but it was delicious here. Their red pepper sauce is spicy without being overwhelming and was delicious on the tofu banchan as well as with the pork belly.
The fried lotus chips could be a good bar snack with soju or a nice first course. I didn't load up on the sauce but it was a slightly sweet garlic mayonnaise.
The barley tea here even seemed better (cleaner tasting somehow) compared to other area restaurants.“

“Famished from traveling, I decided to research options for a great smash burger. Farmer and the Beast came highly rated, so I pulled the trigger. Happy I did.. the meat was Cooked to perfection. Flavorful not greasy just how I like a smash burger. Will stop by again if I’m ever in the area.“

“Delicious. Syrian/Lebanese - the flavors were smoother/softer than I’m used to. The pita was soft, closer to a fluffy flour tortilla, and the sandwiches we had that came in a pita were actually wrapped in a trifolded pita and pressed like a panini. The felafel were big and delicious. The baklava was in a orange blossom syrup and was perfect. The service was personable and on point. It’s on an active block of N Williams, so it’s a fun area to walk around before/after. Highly recommended.“

“I would love to call Addy’s a “hidden” gem, but they are far too busy to ever be considered hidden! This cute sandwich shop is only open 4 hours a day, only Monday-Friday so if you want to try it you should plan to wait a bit for your food.
The wait is worth it however! They serve delicious sandwiches and salads, with generous portions for the price. I always enjoy checking what the daily sandwich and salad specials will be. They are usually creative, tasty, and healthy.
For me the tomato tapenade panini always hits the spot. They don’t skimp on the mozzarella! I usually get a turkey salad too, and it’s always chock full of cubed turkey and avocado.
The real pro tip here is to get some of the free sauces next to the water station. I love the green sauce they have. I would buy it by the bottle if I could!
The employees here are friendly! I mentioned that I wish I had gotten a side of the wild rice salad they had today, and the employee behind the register kindly gave me a sample!

“Appetizer selection is priced a bit high. Lunch menu is ample and a good value. Dinner has a dedicated Kids menu. The range is from ala carte portions to regular plate meals to large combo dinners to Feast sized platters in styles common in specific regions of Mexico. Bountiful seafood selections. Everyone is pleasant and personable. I never feel rushed and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, appreciate friendly and efficient service and the wonderful food. Burritos are excellent. “I went to Bar Loon with my daughters. We sat in an outdoor area, picnic bench style seating. I got the hotdog- super big and very tasty. The onions on top were cooked down to a sweet n tasty topping which paired so well with the salty hotdog, and a wonderful soft bun. My daughter had the double cheeseburger which looked amazing as well. The staff were very friendly. Self serve water outside which was convenient & fresh. Lots of seating inside & out. “This is a cute place with a great bartender. The reason I'm going with 4 stars: When I walked in, due to reflections on the glass door I couldn't see inside. I opened the door and RIGHT THERE at chest level was the massive head of a giant black dog, about a foot in front of me. I'm not exaggerating - I am very short and this was a mastiff or something. His head was twice the size of a human head. I froze. I have been attacked by dogs before and this was a terrifying experience. It was soon clear that the dog was very chill and only wanted to say hello, but it's not ok to have customers surprised like that.“
