“Richie was our server and he took great care of us. From the moment we were seated he overheard us talking about it being a little warm and said he agreed and asked if we'd like some air conditioning to help improve the temperature. Then he quickly got our order and brought out the salad and bread sticks. We had the never ending pasta bowls, and he recommended ordering a side of alfredo sauce for our bread sticks. Amazing recommendation, we loved it so much we had to order more bread sticks because it was so good. Then, a huge birthday group showed up of about 10-12 people and despite him helping them, he kept rushing over to us to make sure we were still good. Kept our refills coming, our cups full, and gave us a good reason to come back. Perfect service.“

“This is the best Thai food I've tasted in Portland! Fresh, fast and made to order. They have both done in or take home. Either way it is fresh and yummy. Very delicious and great for families or a group gathering.“

“This was one of the most fantastic dining experiences I've ever had. Every single thing they brought to our table was surprising, flavorful, pure joy. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely seem to be connected to the food, its history, and culture. The menu changes every two months, so this is quite a feat. It is such a comfortable but chic restaurant. The tasting menu: you WILL get full and it's miraculous. The dinner course with the pandan rice, bamboo, lamb, is absolutely delicious and the beetroot bluefin tuna with herbs add on is such a fresh addition to the meal. (And get the starter oysters on right now with the watermelon granita, it's the perfect start, and with the coffee mouse with cookie and banana at the end, the whole meal is bookended beautifully.) I'll be dreaming about the cold coconut milk soup with cordiceps and nasturtium for a while. We did not do the drinks pairing (though they look great!) and just opted for a chenin blanc and a On Wednesdays We Wear Green, which were both perfect with the meal.

A few heads-up since Google is asking: it's a set chef's menu and they ask for your restrictions in advance. If you're not allergic or extremely aversive to anything, just go with the flow. Try things you aren't even sure if you'll like; the unique preparings are going to have you in awe. If you do have dietary limits, especially seafood/fish or coconut, this is not the dining experience for you. We are both blessed to be omnivores with no known allergies, so we were thrilled by everything.

This menu is only on until the end of October before it changes to something else I'm sure will be equally fantastic, but end to end this was just a treat of an experience.

“I've. eaten all over Southeast Asia including street amrt I've eaten at many Southeast Asian restaurants, including in Cambodia, Malaysia and Laos, and can unequivocally say this is one of the best meals I've ever had. Michelle brought us a couple of beers and we ordered a plate of six oysters. She chatted cheerfully with us while she busily poured drinks for others and then introduced us to her two sons and a son’s girlfriend, who all also work there. Everyone was so friendly and kind! When our table was ready, Michelle thanked us for being there and said that it was great to meet us. At our table, we ordered another half dozen oysters, a caesar salad, a couple more beers, and two big bowls of cioppino. Absolutely delicious with the large, thick slices of freshly-made garlic bread for dunking. This place is a true gem. Four generation of family working there and their love for the place and what they do shows. Can’t wait to go back!!“

“Delicious. Syrian/Lebanese - the flavors were smoother/softer than I’m used to. The pita was soft, closer to a fluffy flour tortilla, and the sandwiches we had that came in a pita were actually wrapped in a trifolded pita and pressed like a panini. The felafel were big and delicious. The baklava was in a orange blossom syrup and was perfect. The service was personable and on point. It’s on an active block of N Williams, so it’s a fun area to walk around before/after. Highly recommended.“

“I would love to call Addy’s a “hidden” gem, but they are far too busy to ever be considered hidden! This cute sandwich shop is only open 4 hours a day, only Monday-Friday so if you want to try it you should plan to wait a bit for your food.

The wait is worth it however! They serve delicious sandwiches and salads, with generous portions for the price. I always enjoy checking what the daily sandwich and salad specials will be. They are usually creative, tasty, and healthy.

For me the tomato tapenade panini always hits the spot. They don’t skimp on the mozzarella! I usually get a turkey salad too, and it’s always chock full of cubed turkey and avocado.

The real pro tip here is to get some of the free sauces next to the water station. I love the green sauce they have. I would buy it by the bottle if I could!

The employees here are friendly! I mentioned that I wish I had gotten a side of the wild rice salad they had today, and the employee behind the register kindly gave me a sample!

The onions on top were cooked down to a sweet n tasty topping which paired so well with the salty hotdog, and a wonderful soft bun.
