“This place was great for Happy Hour! We sat in the bar which was OK. Upon leaving I saw the restaurant and will sit there next time for the view!! The service was spectacular!! Waitress/Bartender came to our table probably every 15 minutes to check on us,,, and it was about half full. Food was GREAT! Had the Happy Hour Burger (1/4#) because the regular burger (1/2#) felt like too much. Had several appetizers which were yummy. 100% will be going back soon.“

“I ate at Verde Cocina en la Perla while at a work conferencein Portland, Oregon. The food was so delicious that I build my entire birthday around eating there! I live in Olympia, Washington. It is over an hour drive but I will keep doing it every few months. I had Arro as my bartender and server both times. He treats you like FAMILY, and this place IS family owned. I even was introduced to the creator of the Horchata French Toast dish. It is so good I cry happy tears thinking about it. Please visit for brunch and order it, you will NOT be sad about it. I don't even use syrup on the French toast, because the Horchata sauce is so so good on its own. The chillequilles are so so good with eggs OR tofu. Arro was awesome in helping us select desserts...the flan is so dang good, and it is #vegan! My wife and I are #vegetarian, but when I went with a coworker, he said that the meat dishes are "fire." I had a drink both times, first was the mango margarita. Tastes fresh and delicious! Had the perfect amount of tequila but tasted like juice...😈 I have also ordered the Paloma. I can't tell which one is my favorite!!! Anyways, do yourself a favor and order. Trust me.“

I could get a cup of coffee anywhere but this shop has become more than just great food and drinks - it’s a place for neighbors to gather and the owners have fully invested themselves in our community. Love the breakfast sandwiches, my daily coffee and Friday evenings on their back lawn with a beer and friends!“

“We are so impressed with this restaurant, it’ll be our new Thursday night date night spot!
We enjoyed the ambiance greatly, were delighted by all 8 dishes we got, and loved the service.
My husband ordered the Old Fashioned Cocktail and the Bar Manager came out to introduce himself and tell us more about what makes it so special. He actually works with a local distillery to create the drink and bottle it. It was so good we ordered 2 and then went to the store down the street to buy our own bottle!

The small plates are incredible, and from 5-6 each night you can get a little 2-person sampler of all of them for only $38! Best deal in town! And then if you’re hungry, the steak was cooked PERFECTLY.

We couldn’t decide on a dessert so we ordered both!! Glad we did.“

“I love this place. It is in my neighborhood, so it's becoming one of my go-to local watering holes. The food has been excellent and they offer a lot of variety. Great list of beers, too. It is a pub food joint so it is loud and there are lots of TVs with sports on...which is awesome.

Parking: I never had a problem finding parking unless there was a football game at the high school.“

If any one is reading this as a world traveler, believe me when I tell you If you live, or travel in this area, you gotta treat yourself to one of their fabulous stomach filing delicious entries. “We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou“

Never really feeling comfortable because most of the employees are busy visiting with regulars and people they know They might offer you something to drink once in a while. Until ERICKA !!! She gives excellent customer service (this 5 star rating is for her) I was in there the other day and she was calling every single person by name. She us wonderful. You are very lucky to have her as an employee. I hope your paying her a decent wage because if not I would snatch her up in a heartbeat . She gives excellent customer service. Luckily, the Aladdin Theater took over the space so at least you can still hang out and have a drink while waiting for the show next door to open. Beats waiting outside in the rain.“

“This homemade pasta is done right. So good. I had the Carbonara and my daughter had the spaghetti aglio olio. Both good and was hearing lots of mmmmm’s. The carbonara was excellent - lots of big chunks of panchetta , a little peppery, nice pecorino and pasta water sauce and the fried egg yoke took it to another level. The aglio olio also good with delicate spaghetti. The hardest thing was deciding what to try. The entire menu looked delicious. The service was excellent, happy people, incredible food. Portion size is perfect. Oh…and make sure to order the garlic bread. Also good - a little crispy on the outside and soft and garlicky in the middle. One order was perfect for two people give. We will most definitely be back. My new favorite place to go.“
