An older couple in there 80's ordered there food and a salad. They ask the price and wasn't given the correct price and the waitress seemed argument live towards them and was not helpful. “I love this place. It is in my neighborhood, so it's becoming one of my go-to local watering holes. The food has been excellent and they offer a lot of variety. Great list of beers, too. It is a pub food joint so it is loud and there are lots of TVs with sports on...which is awesome.

Parking: I never had a problem finding parking unless there was a football game at the high school.“

We enjoyed the ambiance greatly, were delighted by all 8 dishes we got, and loved the service.
My husband ordered the Old Fashioned Cocktail and the Bar Manager came out to introduce himself and tell us more about what makes it so special. He actually works with a local distillery to create the drink and bottle it. It was so good we ordered 2 and then went to the store down the street to buy our own bottle!

The small plates are incredible, and from 5-6 each night you can get a little 2-person sampler of all of them for only $38! Best deal in town! And then if you’re hungry, the steak was cooked PERFECTLY.

We couldn’t decide on a dessert so we ordered both!! Glad we did.“

“We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou“

“I ate at Verde Cocina en la Perla while at a work conferencein Portland, Oregon. The food was so delicious that I build my entire birthday around eating there! I live in Olympia, Washington. It is over an hour drive but I will keep doing it every few months. I had Arro as my bartender and server both times. He treats you like FAMILY, and this place IS family owned. I even was introduced to the creator of the Horchata French Toast dish. It is so good I cry happy tears thinking about it. Please visit for brunch and order it, you will NOT be sad about it. I don't even use syrup on the French toast, because the Horchata sauce is so so good on its own. The chillequilles are so so good with eggs OR tofu. Arro was awesome in helping us select desserts...the flan is so dang good, and it is #vegan! My wife and I are #vegetarian, but when I went with a coworker, he said that the meat dishes are "fire." I had a drink both times, first was the mango margarita. Tastes fresh and delicious! Had the perfect amount of tequila but tasted like juice...😈 I have also ordered the Paloma. I can't tell which one is my favorite!!! Anyways, do yourself a favor and order. Trust me.“

“Holy 5-alarm fire! I got the Fusiili ala Vodka, which I know is supposed to have some heat, but this one —- it’s like the cap fell off the jar of chili flakes! I still loved it - the pasta was perfectly cooked, the pork shoulder was bursting with great spices, but I was still facially sweating through the whole meal. We got their Caesar salad too, which was excellent, not too much dressing and just the right amount of anchovies. The real deal, and helped cool off my lips.
Grassa has their counter service food model down pat, and the meals come out fairly quick, fresh and hot, so thumbs up there. Service is up and down, depending on how slammed they are, but I give them a pass since they do do aLOT of takeout orders and are not meant to be table service. Love that they have beer, wine and some cocktails too.
This location works well for all the reasons stated above, but we often get our food to go — the ambiance here is not that great. Strip-mall -modern-meets industrial in a cold, cavernous space does not make you want to linger. No thanks.“

Once I got the drink I very quickly realized the Malort had been left out in all actuality.

I thought this may have been in an attempt to save my soul and didn’t want to bother the staff.
But I found out from another that it had run dry and the last bartender had left it out on my behalf.

Three horseman…I missed fourth.

She gives excellent customer service (this 5 star rating is for her) I was in there the other day and she was calling every single person by name. She us wonderful. You are very lucky to have her as an employee. I hope your paying her a decent wage because if not I would snatch her up in a heartbeat . She gives excellent customer service. “It's too bad The Lamp essentially went out of business during the COVID shutdown, and is unlikely to return to the cool neighborhood bar that it used to be. Luckily, the Aladdin Theater took over the space so at least you can still hang out and have a drink while waiting for the show next door to open. Beats waiting outside in the rain.“
