“What a gem of a coffee shop!! We are so glad we tucked in for a cup of coffee. The coffee is delicious and the latte art is so cute. The desserts were the perfect sweet treat for a rainy Saturday afternoon. The shop carries so many darling items, many are perfect for cat lovers. We will definitely be back!!“

“This spot is spot on! a real hidden gem. If you’re a matcha lover, you’re in for a treat. They specialize in all things matcha and offer an impressive variety: lattes, shaved ice, soft serve, frappes, floats, parfaits, and even in-house mochi.
We got the Maiko Special, which came with green tea ice cream, chewy mochi balls, matcha cake, and sweet red bean. Everything was so well-balanced and delicious. You can really taste the quality in each component, especially the mochi, which is made fresh in-house. Can’t wait to come back and try more!“

“The homemade vegan English muffin sando was next level. We got the local tofu patty and it was amazing, totally worth the upgrade. Coffee was delicious, and the staff was friendly and personable. You have no idea how hard that hit for two weary travelers. This is a must stop on all future PDX trips! Thank you so much!“

“I absolutely love this place. I don't have the excuse to go here very often, but I drop by when I can. The restaraunt is dripping with personality with all the decorations and the service has ranged from adequate to personable. A few times I have been they had live music playing, which was nice. The food though? Best I've ever had at a Cafe. I've tried about a third of the menu and every dish has been stellar. Prices are very reasonable; this is not some super pretentious overpriced Portland brunch place, this is the real deal. Highly recommended.“

“This is my favorite place in Portland. I love the open mics, the trans community events, the potlucks, and the openness of the space. Every time I walk in, I feel welcome. The worker-owners are caring and kind people. The giraffe is definitely a fun added touch - but my favorite part of the Tap is definitely the community. This place has singlehandedly motivated me to stay in Portland.“

“We have lived here almost two years and I am sad to say this was our first visit. I WILL be going again.
From the customer service to the food to the check was top notch. It wasn’t just the taste, the presentation and speed at which we received our meal was wonderful.
Thank you for a great breakfast.“

“Been twice and this is definitely going to become one of my go- to spots on the east side! The staff is super welcoming and awesome, they have some unique drink options, and their Matcha is amazing! It has a bright vibe with some plants, great decor, and a fair amount of seating. When it’s nice out the café opens up it’s rollup windows too. Definitely would recommend!“

“Soen/Courier Coffee is a small Japanese café. It's one café and one counter for ordering, so there is no functional distinction between Soen and Courier Coffee, I think the coffee menu and small baked goods selection is from Courier Coffee and the rest (norimaki, kakigori, and tea) is Soen. Kakigori is available seasonally - I was lucky that I visited during the last week of kakigori for the year.
It's a pretty small space, a few tables tables inside and a few outside on the sidewalk. There's not much room for standing, but the staff will bring your food to your table so you don't have to stand around waiting after you order. The staff members were very nice!
I got there 45 minutes before closing. They were out of most of the norimaki but had one ume-taku norimaki left, so that was what I ordered, along with an apple cinnamon kakigori and buckwheat tea. I really enjoyed the norimaki even though it wasn't my first choice. The pickled plum and radish gave it a big pop of flavour and the inari added some nice sweetness. Perfect interplay of sweet, savoury, and vegetal flavours. The kakigori looked huge but since kakigori is mostly ice it wasn't heavy or hard to finish. The apple cinnamon flavour came with a creamy sweet potato sauce, a shot of hojicha, and of course baked apples. It was a really interesting and unique combination of flavours. Very good. The tea was a nice warming accompaniment to my meal. I think for the high quality the prices were fair.“
“Never been before! Drove past it and turned around to check it out. The barista was so sweet taking my order and they both looked happy to be there and happy to answer my questions. The place is very bright and nice and the coffee was delicious! Well steamed milk, a tasty shot of espresso. Will be visiting again!“
“The house coffee soda is popping!?☕️?
Kid-friendliness: Not many kid-friendly options, and if a kiddo can manage a mature environment there should be no problems.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, I think, maybe rugged wheels needed, not sure“

“I recently visited a different Nossa Familia Coffee location, and it exceeded my expectations. The cozy atmosphere and friendly baristas create the perfect environment for either a quick coffee stop or a relaxing afternoon. Their espresso drinks are always perfectly balanced—rich and smooth without any bitterness. One of my favorite things about this place is their focus on sustainability and community involvement, which makes every visit feel purposeful. While I typically enjoy their offerings in-store, I’ve also started using their subscription service, which is fantastic for enjoying their freshly roasted beans at home. It’s a great way to keep a steady supply of high-quality coffee, delivered right to your door. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, Nossa Familia offers a consistently great experience!“

“The reviews weren't wrong! Wonderful pastries and excellent coffee. A small, cozy, spot with a very upscale vibe. Enjoyed an almond croissant, and a lemon scone. Both were very good, and the coffees were spot on! Very impressive, staff were friendly and quick also!“

“My favorite bagel spot in Portland, everything is delicious and the service is always super friendly. The only downside is there's no prepayment option - you can only call in to order, but then you still have to wait in the line to pay, even if your food's already ready. Worth the wait though, and the bagel sandwiches are my favorite of anywhere in the neighborhood and all of PDX!“

“Just ate here with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the talented cooks and chefs make beautiful plates. Our server was gracious and attentive, and knew when to refill our drinks. The food was delicious, well seasoned, and satisfying.“
“Great cheddar biscuit sandwich. It’s pricy. $60 for three of us and one was a 5 year old. But otherwise fun little spot.“

“I love tea, especially chamomile. I went to La Provence today and was so glad they have Chamomile there, but shocked when it wasn't the typical grocery store packet. It was so good I asked them the brand (because I HAVE to buy it.) It was the best tea I've ever tasted, and I've been drinking tea close to 50 years. I don't know where to buy it yet, but I hope to find it very soon.“

“Ok, please start exporting your baristas around America. This is one of the best American coffees I’ve had in 3 years living here. Actually it’s the best. Dialed in espresso, and a creamy perfect cappuccino. Great coffee, nice ambience, did I mention the coffee was good?“

“I love how late this place opens. We had to wait outside for quite long but the wait was worth it. We ordered the chocolate mocha cake and it was amazing. The cinnamon hot chocolate was way too sweet, but everything else was amazing.
Most of all the best part about the place was ambience.“

“We had dinner this evening, as usual the food and staff were wonderful. What wasn't wonderful was the table of 5 older people who thought they were at home. They were so loud that my partner and I couldn't hear each other. It is a small dining room with no sound absorption, with all the hard surfaces it becomes an echo chamber. Maybe you can put airhorns at each table and those of us who want a great meal without having to listen to people who talk non-stop at the top of their voices, could give a good BLAST! Or a sign that recommends INSIDE VOICES PLEASE!“

“We have had excellent service here with a large group. The food is so delicious and elevated with attention to detail. The lobster roll of course is a must. Did you know that they import their rolls from Boston and the lobster from Maine?

“Food was tasty, and had a great first visit, but on our second visit the employees seemed more engaged in their conversation than on top of our order. Finished my sandwich and waited, and had to ask for my beverage to be made. There were only 2 other customers in the store and no one had come in after us.“

“This space was amazing!! We tried several handpies, and deserts. Its definitely on the short list to return again, particularly so for a round of breakfast pies. Its fantastic to see the local art items in store as well, often crocheted items and many cool paintings that rotate.
Seating space is a bit small, so bear with it if its full, it is worth the wait!“
“PDX 2F between #3 & #4 baggage claim area Peet’s coffee is located between the upper and lower escalators.

“This was the best cup of coffee that we have ever had! The heart barista’s are amazing- super down to earth and know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to making a well crafted latte or cup of coffee. We each got a latte and a drip coffee and both were amazing!
If you’re looking for a coffee that is loaded with sugar and not good - Heart is not the place to go. If you’re looking for an EXCELLENT cup of coffee that is brewed to perfection heart is the perfect place for you!“

“Republic Cafe / Ming Lounge has History, and it shows whether through the layout or the decor. The cafe seating is nice whether booth or the tables, and the main bar has a nice dive-adjacent feel to it.
I come regularly for a circus night on Tuesdays, and it's been really nice being part of a community and getting to know folks. The music is good, the crafting is, just a good vibe in back.
The food is SOLID, and the drinks are well made too
💜 I'm grateful this space is open 💜“

“My husband, a bread-baker, ordered flour from Tabor Bread and so we drove across town to pick it up. I had never been to their Belmont location. When we walked in at 2:15, a nice young lady told us they closed at 2:00. In spite of that, the staff then went overboard for us. They sold us his flour, then offered us something to eat and gave us coffee and hot cocoa. They were all kind, friendly and professional.“
