“Phaya Thai has become our all-time favorite restaurant! They have figured out how to deliver high quality and delicious meals every time, and so quickly! The flavors are complex and they have so many options. Their proteins are always tender and flavorful from their beef to their catfish and even tofu. I have celiac and Phaya Thai is sort of a holy grail - a safe restaurant I thought would only exist in my dreams. We'll keep making the trek from Vancouver week after week!“

“I had lunch here on a business trip and was pleasantly surprised by the food and how sweet the servers were. I got the lunch special Pad See Mao with chicken (medium spice) and a Thai iced tea. The spice level was a bit hot for a medium, but perfect for me. If you like really spicy food, this place will deliver the heat! The tea was perfectly sweetened, creamy and not too strong of a tea flavor. The ladies taking orders and serving food were very kind and polite, greeting people happily and sending guests off with a smile as well. The place was busy during lunch but they are efficient in cleaning tables and getting people sat and served. The only thing that would make the atmosphere better would be better music :) (totally a personal issue tho!!) Although there is lots of Thai food to choose from in Portland, I’d recommend this spot in the Pearl District for lunch 😋“

“I was hesitant to go here because it’s right on Powell and I didn’t care for the previous businesses that occupied this space but I’m glad I got over that because the food is amazing.

I’ve been very happy with their Khao Pad, Pad Kee Mao, Pad Cashew Nut, Pad See Ew, and of course their Pad Thai. My partner loves their curry.

“Been hearing about Lang Baan for years and finally decided to investigate it personally; I was not disappointed. The many courses were, predictably, small in size, but incredibly large in taste. It made my other experiences in the Portland Thai food scene seem like fast food in comparison, and that isn't a criticism of the other great Thai restaurants I frequent fairly regularly. Lang Baan really is that good. One bit of warning those who don't closely peruse the tab prior to paying: 20% gratuity is automatically added to the total bill. I failed to notice this but don't feel particularly bad about it because the service equaled the quality of the meal.“

I think I had green mango in a lovely sauce with red peppers. I am a happy diner.“

“I literally never leave reviews, but with the frequency I go to this food cart I felt it was well deserved. I regularly get the golden fried rice with chicken here and it is magic, one of my favorite meals in all of Portland. Everything is always cooked perfectly, and the portion size is massive for the (very affordable) price. Even when I’m ravenously hungry, this dish makes at least two meals for me, usually three. They are generous with the huge pieces of gorgeous, tender chicken they give you (that by themselves at the store would cost the amount of this full meal). The onions are always both tender/juicy and crisp (which is hard to do!) and the cashews add a perfect crunch, not to mention the other assorted vegetables that are also always beautifully cooked. I always get this dish HOT and boy, do they deliver! The man who usually works here is also extremely friendly and must be magic, cause he always whips this up in a jiffy. I can’t say enough about this cart—it is a must-visit!“

“Got the rainy rangoons (I get these every time because they are SO good, the crunch and soft creamy insides are amazing), the Pad Thai Nachos (also really flavorful and slightly tangy), and the Coconut Mushroom Fettuccine. The Fettuccine I've also had a few times and it's pretty filling, loaded up on mushrooms, spinach, sauce, and tomatoes. Would definitely get any and all of these again. Been to Norah's Belmont location a couple times and it's in my opinion the cozier location. The food has been consistently flavorful and good every time. The service is fast and the staff are so nice. Street parking is pretty easy to come by. Great for a date spot but also for takeout!“

“Wonderful spot for a late night bite! Came here with a friend after being out seeing music, we got bah mi to eat in and then I also got a vegetable and rice dish to take home. We're both vegetarian; there's a decent selection and what we had was all super delicious. The sweet potato fries that come with the sandwich were some of the best I've ever had (and I'm picky about my sweet potato fries).

Service was friendly, prompt, and accommodating. Environment is nice but still comfortable and casual enough to be at ease. There's 4 TVs playing different things, felt a bit brain rot over stimulation-u, but they were all muted so it wasn't intrusive.

Village Kitchen - so far my favorite Burmese food in the Northwest district and there something like 4 other Burmese restaurants.

“The food here is delicious. We are vegan, and they have a separate menu that is dedicated to vegan dishes. Granted, I’m sure that these dishes are integrated into the regular menu. Though it’s nice to know without asking questions that they’re vegan.

Not 100% sure what we ordered as we all got plates to share, and got them all with fried tofu. Though they were all delicious. Will definitely go back!“

“It had been a while since I've been back here. The place is located in the Woodstock neighborhood. They have both an indoor and outdoor seating area. We ordered the coconut chicken fettuccine, boat noodles, laksa, galbi jjim, chocolate ribs, and kids noodle bowl. I thought that the galbi jjim was well made and had lots of flavors that went well. The coconut chicken fettuccine was also decent. The chocolate ribs were interesting. The server was nice and efficient as he was the only one working the front end of the house when we went.“

“I was in Portland for cancer treatment and had to have a special diet. I could only drink broth. I went to Thai Seasons to ask for their help, because I trust the ingredients they put in their food. They were so kind to me and prepared a Tom Ka broth and a chicken broth for me. These broths were perfect, nourishing, and delicious. The ladies at Thai Seasons really turned a dismal day into a lovely one for me, and I will always visit them and eat there every time I am in Portland.“
