“My first time experiencing this gem of a place. I came to perform music on thier great live music stage, and went in to grab a sandwich before my band the "Desert Moondogs" started playing. I have lived in New York for many years and experienced the best deli sandwiches there, and was beyond surprised and happy with the Tigard Beach Hut Deli offerings. By far the best deli on the West Coast and even rivaled some of my favorite places in New York. If your anywhere near this eatery be it for food or music, make a stop...you won't be disappointed! I have a medical condition and should not have attempted to eat French food, but a good friend was in town and I really wanted to eat here with the. The server was SO kind and the kitchen offered to make a unique dish for me to enjoy. It was an altered version of the Sturgeon dish. I was amazing and it was so kind of them to work with me so that I could actually eat with my friends. So impressed with their kindness, quality and care.“

We enjoyed the ambiance greatly, were delighted by all 8 dishes we got, and loved the service.
My husband ordered the Old Fashioned Cocktail and the Bar Manager came out to introduce himself and tell us more about what makes it so special. He actually works with a local distillery to create the drink and bottle it. It was so good we ordered 2 and then went to the store down the street to buy our own bottle!

The small plates are incredible, and from 5-6 each night you can get a little 2-person sampler of all of them for only $38! Best deal in town! And then if you’re hungry, the steak was cooked PERFECTLY.

“I think we may have found our favorite Korean restaurant on the west side! Food was fresh and yummy! Love the how the lettuce is presented. Every single leaf was crisp and perfect! Service was really good as well. Prices are a bit higher, but for what we got, we felt we got a lot of food for those prices.“

“Excellent food, generous portions. I ordered the shredded chicken taquitos and was very satisfied. Other companions in my group highly recommended the chorizo. Small eatery but can seat larger groups outside (8). Service was a little slow due to the homemade and fresh nature of the dish. So take your time and enjoy. I will definitely go back.“

“Y'all, if you haven't checked out Chess Tacos, you are seriously missing out on some mind blowing food. Everything I've had in their menu has been top notch! Today, I had their new breakfast burrito. Hands down the BEST Bessie burrito I've ever had. The flavor profile is on point! A mix of grilled and smokey flavors. Bacon and Mexican Chorizo, and the chorizo wasn't over powering. You can not go wrong. I promise it'll be the best breakfast burrito you've ever had. (Don't tell Abuelita, you might hurt her feelings it's that good)

“Ate here with my family in October 2024. Nice sunny, chilly day visiting Portland. I had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. My boys had burgers and loved them. The lemonade was delicious but expensive for the little cup. In a little section off the street with 3 other food trucks, and some outdoor picnic seating. We had no problem parking around the corner, but no parking right in front. Free water and cups are available in the seating area.“

“Tried Curry Pizza House in Kent, WA for the first time. Great flavors! Wonderful wings, Desi bread, and pizza! The mango lassis are yummy. Definitely check it out!“

“Delicious. Syrian/Lebanese - the flavors were smoother/softer than I’m used to. The pita was soft, closer to a fluffy flour tortilla, and the sandwiches we had that came in a pita were actually wrapped in a trifolded pita and pressed like a panini. The felafel were big and delicious. The baklava was in a orange blossom syrup and was perfect. The service was personable and on point. It’s on an active block of N Williams, so it’s a fun area to walk around before/after. Highly recommended.“

“I had the BBQ burger, fries, and a soda. It came in at ~$20 with a tip. You place an order at a digital kiosk on arrival.

The bun and burger dressings (fried onions, jalapeños, bacon) were quite good, as was the bun. The patty, which feels machine-made, was a little disappointing. For the price, I'd expect something hand formed. While the webpage states it is grilled medium, mine was well-done.

Fries were great, despite being served with about a tablespoon of ketchup.

The atmosphere is fast casual. The water station was empty when I arrived, as was the napkin dispenser at my table.

I plan to give this place another shot. if their salads are serviceable, and some of the issue above are addressed, I could see this being a regular spot.“

With our 42 guests, we held the ceremony in the patio out front, then had dinner upstairs and the dance party downstairs.
