“Coming into Mother's Bistro & Bar felt like going into a charming Parisian cafe. There was no wait to getting a seat, but I was told that they do not seat partial parties. The noise level was very loud, even when my party and I were sitting in the corner, so you will need to speak loudly in order to listen in.

I have ordered the 1/2 order tofu hash (lower right dish) and cinnamon roll. The hash was so-so as I was not enthusiastic about somewhat of a thick layer of oil at the bottom of the plate.

However the cinnamon roll and the strawberry jam that you can request for on your toast really won me over. The cream cheese filling toned down the sweetness of the cinnamon roll while brightness and light sweetness of the strawberry jam made the toast that much more tasty.“

“where to start, we are big good truck goers. A family of 5. makes it great when everyone can get what they want. This place is beautiful, they had a handful of trucks (more coming) but the options were definitely a mix. Something for everyone for sure. The Cuban food truck is a 10/10 highly recommend! The Cuban sandwich was the best sandwich ive had in a long time. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. My husband and kids had burgers, corn dogs, and chicken strips. The burgers were huge. super great flavor, (adding lamb burgers to the menu soon) super excited to come back to try those. Lets talk drinks, I like a good spicy cocktail, however most "full bars" offer Tabasco to spice up my drink. I hate that. I prefer a spicy tequila or a muddled jalepeno. This place has bitters. This was hands down the best spicy margarita (the house margarita with spicy bitters) that I have had since I've been out here. They have have a changing station in the bathroom. a pinball room, and a kids toys section. For families like us, little kids, picky eater, the FULL bar. This is by far the best food truck place we have went to.“

“The Muddy Rudder has (in my opinion) some of the best pizza that I've had in Portland. Their menu is pretty straightforward, good appetizers, pizzas, calzones, and some sandwiches and salads. Their beer list is ever-changing and always very good, there is a full bar so options for boozy drinks are available and kids can even get their own Shirley Temples, lime-aid, etc.
The staff is always friendly and the music is always great, whether it is played over the stereo or one of the many live acts they have performing on a number of nights each month.

“This is a cute place with a great bartender. The reason I'm going with 4 stars: When I walked in, due to reflections on the glass door I couldn't see inside. I opened the door and RIGHT THERE at chest level was the massive head of a giant black dog, about a foot in front of me. I'm not exaggerating - I am very short and this was a mastiff or something. His head was twice the size of a human head. I froze. I have been attacked by dogs before and this was a terrifying experience. It was soon clear that the dog was very chill and only wanted to say hello, but it's not ok to have customers surprised like that.“

“I went to Bar Loon with my daughters. We sat in an outdoor area, picnic bench style seating. I got the hotdog- super big and very tasty. The onions on top were cooked down to a sweet n tasty topping which paired so well with the salty hotdog, and a wonderful soft bun. “This is my favorite restaurant in Portland. I finally went into the restaurant after hearing about it for so long and every single time I’ve been here, I’ve had the most exquisite food with ample portions and the most satiating flavors of Italian food and wine that you could get in Portland. It is comfort food at its finest with the best local ingredients and everything is off The chart delicious. I’ve had the pizza, I’ve had pasta, and I’ve had steak twice. Everything is delicious and I can’t get enough of it. The decanting of the wine, the sides to the bread with olives and oil/vinegar. Every single thing I eat, seems to be at the highest level of ingredients with a lot of attention to detail put into everything. The vibe of the place with the uplifting atmosphere, the decor and the righteously amazing vibes of Chrissie the head bartender…makes me keep coming back for birthdays and special occasions. I actually don’t eat out very much with fast food or takeout because I save my money for this place. I can spend $20 at Taco Bell or I could spend $20 here and usually go home very full with leftovers. Chrissie can make the most delicious concoctions and she literally looks like she’s creating something magical when she comes up with something new. Her cocktails are on point yet she’s always innovating her craft. Attention to detail for every single drink. The best recommendations for what they have that night. She informed me that they bake their bread fresh every day. Foods are sourced locally and every single dish makes me want more. I’m trying to get some variety in what I order yet. The steak does it for me every time. The pizza is the best I’ve had in town and sooooo good. I’m very picky about pizza as it’s my favorite food yet this crust and the delicious cheese and greens and everything they put into their pizza is so tasty. The flavor of every single thing I have eaten makes me want to have it again and again and again. If the Italians that I know in my community, make this a regular spot, then I also know it’s good! It’s authentic righteously on point delicious food every single time I go. All my people come with me to this restaurant for special occasions. Do yourself a favor and visit Cibo! If somebody’s coming in from out of town… Take them to Cibo! To celebrate my children’s accomplishments, I take them to Cibo! I already have two reservation reservations for the first week of January and I went there last night. It’s this good! A lot of people post pictures of the food there and I’ve had every dish that I’ve seen online… But what means the most to me about this place is the whole experience of bringing My special people here to experience, uplifting vibes, delicious and exquisite food, the most incredible drinks, and an atmosphere that takes us out of our daily life and gives us such joy and pleasure to experience. “One of our favorite places in Portland! It’s a great place to have a cigar and a drink, and their food is good too. We particularly like the outdoor seating area, it’s shaded and right on the sidewalk.

Their cigar selection is always good, but you can also bring your own. They provide the ash trays.“

Each dish has fantastic flavors, the wait staff is very attentive and friendly, and the vibe is on point.

They don’t take reservations (unless your a large party) so be prepared to wait if you don’t come when they open (tho it’s almost always faster than what they say).

Some main dishes are well sized (vodka pasta, the branzino, and the Milanese) but others run a little small and are meant to be shared.

It is a little pricey but definitely makes for a fun and memorable night with beautiful food. Best for a really special date night or when the parents are in town.“
