“Really amazing overall review, really lame last five minutes! Everyone is so fun and social and sweet, food is really tasty bar food, the dance lesson was SO fun (amazing date spot), and all the bartenders were killing it, except one. I’d almost leave four stars just because of the interaction with her but I think everything was so great over all that one bad experience really couldn’t spoil it.I think her name was Stephanie or Tiffany? Working night shift Thursday March 8th. I was waiting at the bar to close out and no one was approaching me, everyone was obviously crazy busy so I wasn’t in a rush but maybe 8-10 minutes go by with me raising my hand as they walk by. Nothing crazy, but In that time the guy next to me and another guy three away from me order from her so I know I’m not in the wrong spot or something (but if I was she could’ve told me). Finally she’s at the POS directly in front of me and I say “no rush but next time you have a sec could we get the check?” And she ignores me. I think she didn’t hear me so I say “sorry can you hear me?” She doesn’t look at me and goes “I can hear you fine I’m just not going to serve you here” so I said “I’m sorry I just want to check out am I in the wrong spot?” And she tells me “Im just not going to help you just have to wait for her”. Idk who she’s talking about because she’s clearly serving the area and we’ve ordered drinks from multiple bartenders on our tab in that spot. I’m feeling really shocked and uncomfortable and the guys next to me were super surprised to, the girl on my other side was waiting to order and she rolled her eyes and left when that happened. I walked around the other side of the bar and was helped in seconds, bartender was so sweet and got us out quickly. It was busy and this bartender is very rude to customers under pressure. I’ve never been here and had never interacted with her and I feel like she was angry with me for something but no one around knew what. I get that annoying customers messing stuff up can get frustrating but I really couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong or what I could’ve done better and she was more focused on being mean than getting people to understand what she needed to do her job and it wasn’t doing her any favors lol.I’ll be back anyway “
“Han Oak comes with high praise and I had really high expectations about dinner.Banchan - the OTA beancurd dish was great, simply because the beancurd was just outstanding. Tastes like a creamy soy burrata - just makes me wanna go to OTA tomorrow! Appreciate that they did a simple chilli-vinegar dressing on it. Just let the star ingredient shine! The kimchi was a little underwhelming. Not much balance of heat, salt and acid… just alot of acid. I wonder if it would fare better with longer fermentation. The corned beef soo yuk is awesome - I can see the chef’s brilliance here. Great interpretation of a traditional dish. The thinly sliced fatty beef goes great with sliced veg. Great texture and flavour. The yuzu packs a punch and makes the corned beef work so well here… while not overwhelming the broth, which is just awesome - save it so you can have it with the rice later. This dish is 5star!Perhaps the gimbap is just not a dish that allows the chef to show his/her finesse and skill. Beef and pork were cooked and seasoned nicely tho the rest of the ingredients basically needed no cooking - a basic pickle, saute or served fresh.Personally, I feel a gimbap tastes way better in a roll cos the mouthfeel of a well packed roll - when you bite into the various flavours and the texture/ crunch just bursts in your mouth - is simply lost when deconstructed.Bingsu - it’s pretty standard fare tho here’s a suggestion… this would be way better if the pineapple and mango toppings were on top - as they usually are. Not hidden at the bottom.I thk it was gojucharu sprinkled on top - that does nothing for bingsu on its own. Well… maybe if there was more condensed milk, that could work. But chilli powder on ice? Hmm.Tho when you dig down to the fruity flavours at the bottom, then you can tell why the combi works. A clever twist on mango with spice but lost in the order of presentation.Tip - dig in quickly without toppling the bingu mountain! Small tweak that would hugely improve the experience.Maybe the chef was trying to turn the bingsu on its head creatively.. but I thk the usual way fares better.Good service with chirpy staff. May come back when they have a different menu and would recommend you to consider that.“
“I love this place thru & thru! If you haven't been, do yourself a favor. So chilled, with a poetic and tepid groovy vibe, this spot is hotter than lukewarm. All the puns not intended actually. It's just a well designed little place to enjoy attendant service, tiny or not so tiny dishes of luxury, and a balanced ambiance erring on the side of elegance. Come. You won't regret it.“
“We showed up to Portland with a hungry track team of 40. We called Mother’s very last minute, and they were more than willing to accommodate us! We showed up and they had already set up seating for us, and were extremely efficient and kind with rounding up all of the orders. The food came out shockingly fast and was to die for. Me and one of the other coaches split the Mike’s Scramble and it was bliss after one bite. Even with the huge group, the staff was great about checking on everyone and making sure we all had drinks and were served.Overall it was a great experience during a very hectic trip to Oregon. I would highly recommend Mother’s to anyone who is visiting the area and give a huge thank you from Boise High Track & Field!“
“What a gem! We don't eat vegan exclusively but have egg and dairy allergies so getting burgers with cheese and ranch and shakes was awesome! The buddy stix (mozzarella) were not bad but the Paddy's Melt and Newport Nightmare were both great and the Smashed to pieces shake was so good we came back another time just for more shakes! This place is located inside Swan Dive and did not have a sign outside (as they moved recently to the kitchen inside).“
“We had a Rubin panini is special in honor of St Patricks day. Yummy. They also have special cocktails and a wide selection of beer including Guinness. Service was friendly and attentive. Since this is a bar, no kids are allowed. Happy hour is 2-6pm.“
“Went here for the first time on Tuesday. Great spot for beer in a charming old house! The staff was very nice and I could tell they take a lot of pride in the beautiful space they've created. And Erica's Soul Food cart on the back patio was Delicious!“
“Staff was so nice!! Barely any pictures of food so we didn’t think they sold food but their menu is amazing. I had the steak sandwich which was very tender and my boyfriend had the burger. It was super delicious!! And once again the staff is so friendly!“
“We have been dining at Gilda’s for 6 months. Thank you to our friends Linda and Paul for introducing us to this wonderful restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious. It is a family owned restaurant and the pride of the naturally sourced ingredients is very evident. Everything is made in house. The service is exemplary! Go, you won’t be sorry!“
“I went with my family during Happy Hour and the food was delicious. For starters we ordered some ricotta cheese crostinis that were delicious and a "small" salad which was more than enough for 3 people. The pizza was a delight but the best thing was to accompany it with a delicious sangria.I highly recommend this place.“
“Truly my favorite bar, I've been coming here for a couple years and the owner Sarah always says hi. The food is delicious, the drinks are awesome, the ambiance is intimate and chill. My favorite thing is to come here and get a glass of wine and the slab bread with French butter and read my book. It's just the best!!!“
“The bar/restaurant is one of the best experiences Portland has to offer. The drinks are fun and tasty. The food menu might be limited but it is absolutely amazing. Every item on the menu is bold, real and will blow your mind. A true gem! The birria takes the crown!“
“DING DONG we have a five star Champion! Cozy, stylish hotel bar with welcoming staff and delicious cocktails. Carmen, the bartender greeted us with a friendly smile every night during our extended stay. Coming back after dinner and enjoy a night-cap at the Driftwood made our day(s). The hotel itself is nice, but this cozy bar is the cherry on top! Thank you for your hospitality“
“One of the cutest and coziest spot I've been to in awhile. I love thier interior so much! Modern, chic, but still warm. The food menu is Indian-inspired and everything is vegan. We got a plate of the drumstick to share and it's super unique! The texture was pretty close to real chicken but what stood out was the seasonings and flavors. Super spicy, in the best way. Made for a great drinking snack. Lots of unique items to try and share from the menu. For drinks, we got the N/A Creamsicle which was SO GOOD! I would come back just for it. Creamy, not too sweet with a hint of coconut. We also got the Club Lilou which was alright for me. Nothing to rave about but refreshing and summer-y.“
“I absolutely love the decor of The Slide Inn, it really feels like I have stepped into an entire different country when i walk in. The food AND drinks are always a win, and they have great vegan and gluten free offerings, as well! The pita and hummus plate is the best I've ever had. ?Dietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free“
“Food was lovely, pasta had a perfect portion size if you’re just in the middle of being hungry and not. Service was good, just took a little long because it was a friday night. Atmosphere was not the best, there was a rowdy table behind my family that just put off out our whole vibe for the night and was very overwhelming for being outside around a lot of other people. (if you easily get overstimulated I suggest eating inside) Totally not the restraints fault, just an unlucky role of the dice“
“Stopped in a couple of days ago after a long, cold hike in the rain. Even though they had finished serving coffee for the day, Jesse was so nice to make me a pour-over hot coffee - just what I needed to warm up, and such a great cup of coffee! ☺️ Will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area!“
“Went here on a Tuesday night and I'm super glad because it is fairly small. Thankfully not a lot of people came out at happy hour time for cocktails so there were only four other sets of folks in there with us. The noise level was perfect for me who is struggling with some minor hearing loss due to my 40 years of living. I like very simple drinks so I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was delicious. And they use Old Forester as their "well bourbon." I love Old Forester. Our server/bartender (doing both jobs) was very nice. He was patient with us. He also wanted to make sure I knew that the Brie was covered in a puff pastry since I said I needed cucumbers instead of bread. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance so there's not a ton of the menu I can eat. That's fine. I went for the booze. All in all it was a good experience. It's definitely not a place I would go on a Friday night. But I will definitely go back during the week. (I don't like bumping elbows with strangers. I'm too old for that crap.) I say if you like premium cocktails, you should totally try it.“
“My partner and I come here every now and again, the server Tia is always so friendly and patient with us while figuring out our drinks and the comedy shows on Thursday nights are hands down the best and most well curated “underground” comedy in Portland. 10/10 would recommend if looking for a great taproom.“
“What an amazing night we had! We were celebrating our 26th Wedding Anniversary and everyone of the staff went out of their way to make sure it was the best night possible for us and all wishing us a Happy 26th Anniversay. The food was excellent, the care of professionalism was the best bar none. We will be back! Our gratitude to Mark our waiter and the entire staff, please don't forget to thank them all for us, even our car attendant was kind and courteous.I can't say Thank you to each and everyone for such a delightful night and a memory we will hold in our hearts and minds for the rest of our lives. And also to the gracious lady at the next table who paid for part of our dinner. We feel truly blessed.“
“My handsome husband and I absolutely ADORE this new find for us. I’ve lived in Aloha 20+ years and this place is exactly what I want in a neighborhood hangout, but have never seen until tonight. First thing in the door we were greeted, welcomed, told about the menu and invited to sit wherever we liked! Talk about feeling welcomed and immediate hospitality! The atmosphere was also fantastic—subdued and relaxing with agreeable lighting. But the cocktails were ABSOLUTELY EPIC! We had our socks knocked off by the flavor and variety of the cocktails, and then the presentation was just so incredibly appealing to boot! Fresh herbs (rosemary) in one drink, dried herbs (lavender) in another made the drinks delicious AND visually stunning to behold. Prices were very reasonable, so we will be coming back again and again to sample absolutely everything! 10/10 and we’ll be singing the praises of The 649 to absolutely everybody we know!“
“The wood fire pizza was delicious- charred with a flavorful sauce. My family tried five different cocktails and every single one was a unique and masterful concoction. Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: They were really accommodating to all dietary requests, and many options are on their menu for vegetarians.“
“Absolutely loved dining here before our concert at crystal ballroom. With the venue right around the corner it was a great spot to sit at the bar get cocktails and have a REALLY yummy dinner. I highly recommend the fried Brussel sprouts (they are gf) and the steak salad was also yummy ! Can’t wait to come “
“I had dinner there tonight and left happy. I kept it simple with their spaghetti and meatballs and the dish was phenomenal. Great service and atmosphere, along with really great food. I look forward to going back and exploring their menu more.“
“Taplandia is the place to go if you’re looking for a tap house that really cares about each individual that walks through the door. They have successfully created a space that all can enjoy! Yummy food, great drinks, and always a good time!!“
“First time at Birdie Time; it was a hoot! Couples, friends, families and grandparents with grandchildren all having the best time; everyone was having a wonderful time. Yes, 9-holes were terrific; I saw a 7 year old make a hole in one. The crowd cheered!♡“
“I say this knowing how much Italian food I've had in my life and having been to Italy several times: this was the best Italian food I've ever had. I never leave reviews but this was so good that I had to say something. The service was perfect and everything I ate was absolutely fabulous. The bread, oil and balsamic vinegar was incredible, my tomato soup was piping hot, creamy and delicious, and I had the daily special- spicy sausage ragu in a bread bowl which was so flavorful and rich. I cannot recommend this place enough. To top it all off, my meal was relatively inexpensive for the superior quality and generous portion size. Try this place out!“
“I love this spot for a quick and affordable lunch! Their ranch salad is such a great deal, $5.50 for a sizable salad packed with bacon, blue cheese, veggies, and a deviled egg on top. Tried their Sandwich Week special today, the Banh Mi Patty Melt, super tasty! The tots/fry sauce are also excellent.“
“My favorite neighborhood bar! Really great selection of beers, cider, and wine – not to mention all of the beverages you can snag in the fridge if you're on-the-go. Super nice staff, really accommodating, mellow vibe, and overall just great ambiance. Give this spot a shot!“
“Excellent spot for drinks and beers. Nice outside patio with umbrellas and tables. The interior is charming and reminiscent of a Parisian Cafe. Friendly service and food available from The Baghdad Theater. 3 stars for the food which I consider very expensive for simple fare.“
“I love this bar! The setting is awesome and there's a great beer list and great cocktails. Also, the nachos (with pico) are some of the best that I know of in town! The house hot sauce is delicious, but sadly they don't bottle it.“
“Located above the loyal legion and available only by reservation (or walk in as space permits). Access is via a stairwell at the back and opens only via code. A staff member greets you downstairs and explains the process (one way only, restrooms inside, etc). Then you go up into a private space with soft lighting and trendy decor. I think I counted less than 7 tables (3 fit 4, and 4 fit 2), Plus 4 stools at the bar. Super cozy and intimate. Definitely recommend. Staff were excellent, knowledgeable, and the right amount of attentive. Not a lot of food choices.. but the drinks were great and the vibe even better. Looking forward to going back.“
“We had such a great time today at Pips & Bounce. It was our first time here and it exceeded our expectations. We thought we would just stay for a round of ping pong but ended up staying to play some shuffleboard and have a few beers. The staff was the best and we stayed longer because of them. It was the perfect rainy day evening and we'll definitely be back“
“This is one of the BEST local taphouses in Beaverton. There are always so many great choices for beer, seltzers, ciders and wine. You can bring outside food in. So go down to the food carts, grab a meal and enjoy the best beers in town at CST.“
“The last time I was here, it was 4-4-2. Before that, it was a small grocery store and a place to get a quick bite. I'm glad that the new owners decided to keep the soccer theme to it. The new staff is friendly and welcoming, the environment is fun, there's always something playing on the TV. Haven't tried the food, so I won't speak on that. If you're a fan of soccer or any other sport, this is the place for you.“
“Such a fun, welcoming little bar! The food is absolutely delicious, the cocktails are lovingly crafted, and the HUGE game selection makes this place the best hidden gem on Main Street. Head up the stairs next to Versus and check it out for yourself!“
“I like the vegan food options (buffalo soy curl is where it's at), and Ben makes amazing drinks. One of the best vodka martinis I've ever had after giving me recommendations on vodka choices (Harku) and doing just a wash of dry vermouth. Also, the patio is great if you have a pup.“
“From the moment we stepped into Todo Taco, we knew we were in for a treat. The highlight of our dining experience had to be the phenomenal birria tacos. Each bite was a perfect blend of flavors, making them some of the best we’ve ever savored. But let's not stop there; the chicken wings were unlike any other I've had in Portland – perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a flavor that keeps you coming back for more. The margaritas deserve a special mention as well. Handcrafted with precision, each sip was a refreshing blend of quality ingredients, proving that the art of a great margarita hasn't been lost. Additionally, the salsa selection was on point, offering a variety of options to complement every dish with just the right kick. The ambiance of Todo Taco was made even more enjoyable by the fantastic bartender who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of perfect. Their friendly and attentive service added a personal touch to our visit, making us feel truly welcomed. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Portland and in search of an exceptional dining experience, Todo Taco is a must-visit. Whether it’s for the mouthwatering birria tacos, the exceptional chicken wings, the handcrafted margaritas, or the inviting atmosphere, you're in for a real treat. Go and see for yourself why Todo Taco is a cut above the rest!“
“Darcelle IV the best ever. Took me years to get my husband to take me (on vacation) even though he has been third countless times when he lived in Portland. The price is extremely reasonable. Darcelle is still bringing down the house in his 80's. A true performer. A hell of a businessman. I will bring the book to get autographed next time. Those who say its cramped. Do you know how much space cost in Downtown Portland? It is cozy. 2023 update. Darcelle is in Nirvana and will have to wait to get the book signed. Goodbye Darcelle aka Walter Cole.“
“Cocktails are $12-15/ drink. This is a cozy place (albeit loud-did the music have to be up that high?). When it got hot they opened the back from the smoking patio and the smell of cigarettes took over the place. If they never did that again I'd be happy, but the cool air was welcome.Still, I'll be back. This place impressed me.“
“This was such a nice place to relax and have some drinks with friends. The atmosphere is so relaxing. It has unique furniture and the decorations are beautiful. Would love to come back here again! Also they had amazing mocktails for those who don't drink!“
“Came here for a 40th birthday. It was amazing. We were looking for a mellow intimate experience and it was everything we could have asked for. Food is great, N/A drinks were amazing and service was perfect. A wonderful chill lounge in Portland.“
“Oregon’s first Kava bar! Both the Portland and Vancouver locations offer a chill vibe with various comfy seating areas. The decor is authentic and honors the South Pacific culture without being kitschy. The Portland location features reclaimed wood from Indonesia. The Washington location boasts a stunning living wall. The kava is prepared traditionally and served in a coconut shell. The owner has spent a lot of time in the South Pacific personally meeting with his growers. And no distractions like tv screens or pool tables like an actual bar. Instead they offer things like board games and a guitar if you are lucky enough to play. There is a real sense of community in both locations with fun activities monthly at each location. I also like that they have chosen not to also serve Kratom out of respect for the ceremonial history of kava. It’s an experience!“
“Oh my gosh I love this place. The food, especially the pastry and dessert offerings, is all made on site and really something special. The name of the Cafe is a little misleading, because you can get real breakfast or real lunch here, not just coffee/tea/pastries. It is also really lovely inside with plenty of seating, including one really large table for a big group and plenty of little tables for someone studying like me (I always get breakfast or lunch though, I don't just camp). Tucked away in the Maplewood neighborhood, right down the street from Maplewood school and near no other businesses, you will think there can't possibly be a cafe there but sure enough there is. The parking is all street parking, which can be a little hard to find but I always eventually find a spot a short walk away.Vegetarian options: I noticed there were some but couldn't give details as I was focused on non-veg options.Kid-friendliness: I would say it is not super kid friendly but definitely kid-friendly enough, I saw families there and the kiddos seemed to be enjoying themselves.“
“This place has a very good selection of classic pin ball machines and really awesome throwback arcade gamesI was so glad to see that they had mortal Kombat and soul caliber. I wish it would have had TekkenThere is an upstairs and downstairs portionDecent selection of adult beverages to choose fromAlso they have a special on the last Wednesday of every month they have $10. All you can play from 12 :00 to midnight but after 5:00 p.m. It's 21 and upParking can be a little hectic around there and sketchy due to all the homeless people tweaked out on fentanyl“
“Plenty of seating and ordering/paying at the bar make it an ideal place for a bigger group to meet and not have to deal with the headache of splitting the check. Love that they have an early and late happy hour, and on weekends to boot! Cozy vibe; you’ll want to just stay the night in the adjacent hotel so you don’t have to leave.“
“New favorite!I stopped in to check it out and hang with a friend. It was amazing! If you love cider, you need to swing in and probably make it a regular stop. They have 25 rotating cider taps, a couple of beer taps, and various small bites (hummus and pita, chips and salsa, tots, salads). The 25 ciders are from a variety of cideries, including a house cider. They fill growlers, have crowlers, and offer flights of 4 or 6, 5oz ciders.“
“A Portland institution with no cover for the early show. Lots of people, eating, vegan or vegetarian food, but with organic burgers available as well. Lots of people who are dressed as though they could immediately go on a hike or would feel comfortable with the Oregon country fair. People dancing by the stage. Lots of local talent and people who know each other. An intimate local bar that won't cost you an arm and a leg.“
“This place is everything it claims in the name in a good way. The bartenders are so kind and helpful. The atmosphere is comfortable. The only thing I found lacking was the food, and maybe it was an off day or what I ordered, but the chicken strips were awful (precooked chicken sliced and breaded with the worst batter).“
“Been visiting a few years now.Great happy hour food menu. One of my go to's is the White Cheddar Mac & Cheese made with cavatappi noodles and white cheddar cheese (like home-made).I add the grilled chicken on top.Well....menu changed to boxed mac & cheese, so disappointing!!!!The grilled chicken helped flavor but the noodles.....you know, wimpy noodles from a box.Too bad!First photo is of recent mac and cheese...notice the elbow noodles and the cheese sauce. The second and third photos are of previous mac and cheese orders with cavatappi noodles and real cheese.Parking: Tight parking spaces but lots of them“
