“I love love love this place! The tacos are my favorite - handmade corn tortillas surround the tastiest fillings - I have no favorite as they are all equally delicious. And agua frescas are the perfect companion (pro tip - take it all home and add blanco tequila for a tasty adult beverage) Ans the people who work there are kind and friendly. 11 out of 10 every time!“
“this place is awesome!! Guilhermo is an incridible owner and the food is the best food in town. There's no way to go wrong with thier carne assada guys!! whatever you buy from here you won't regret.Kid-friendliness: every time I get my kids in, we have no complaints.“
“We live near the French Quarter food cart pod and Taco Express is a cart that we frequent every time we come (and that's often)! The kids love the breakfast burrito, their tacos are delicious, and seriously the fries are the best of anywhere in the Village! Friendly service and convenient hours. Love this place!“
“A food truck with mighty flavors in their tacos! This was featured in netflix so it was a must stop to check out during our portland trip. It's located in Hinterland Bar& food Carts. The truck is at the end of the row, near their version of indoor/outdoor seating..The covered outdoor seating has heat lamps. The dining areaWas nice and cozy during the day. The seating area have a fair amount of seating, self-serve water, and a modest shelter from the wind and rain..I ordered the chopped brisket tacos which consist of brisket and guacamole. The brisket was the epitome of juicy. The tortilla were soft and warm. The brisket flavors together was savory delicious. It's safe to say my tastebuds were seredipity! The size of the tacos are surprisingly deceiving as they leave you feeling a healthy full..I also got the smoked turkey taco with guacamole and it was pleasing to the presentation. The turkey taco had good chunks of white turkey meat. The taco was refreshing too. I wouldn't have thought about smoked turkey tacos as my second choice but it was great to experience something different. It's great being adventurous sStreet parking since it's near a residential area. The server whohanded me my food was nice. The ordering process was a breeze as you order on atablet located at the front of the truck and they text you when your order is ready. Matt'sBBQ Tacos is a revisit when I am craving a snack at the food trucks and l'm looking forward to trying out other creations. Hope this review is helpful and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.“
“The entire place was GORGEOUS. The cocktails were delicious, not too sweet but with many flavor notes. Our server was an absolute peach and kept our drinks secret as we tried to surprise each other with cocktails. The music was rad and we’d def recommend the goat cheese beet plate (oh and they’ll top off your order of deviled eggs to an even number to spare a fight over the last odd egg left) We hope to come back soon!“
“This is the greatest burrito in all of Oregon. I was lost and now I am found. As soon as I took my first bite a single tear formed in my eye, tastiness like I had never known surged through my body. I tried to take a photo but we ate the burritos with such speed that it was simply impossible. The food, the salsa, the atmosphere and the service was the best of anything I've tried in all of Oregon. Please do yourself a favor and go to Taqueria El Paisano.“
“They used to be at East Port food cars on 82nd but now they move inside fopo tavern 5902 se foster rd same delicious food like before and the best part is now I can get food until late (tacos. quesatacos, burritos, tortas, bowls wings , pork belly asada, pastor, carnitas, chorizo, Birria and yes they do have veggie options so if you get a chance stop by“
“The tacos are amazing. I ordered asada, pollo , lengua and tripe tacos. The lengua were my favorite but all of them were amazing. i had some green and red sauce on the side and normally I don't like the red sauce much and prefer the green but the red sauce has the perfect heat and it's slightly smoky with good flavor. As long as they keep this quality I won't go anywhere else for a taco again.“
“Amazing tacos! Filled to the brim with Carne Asada…wonderful salas. Very nice people…great customer service. She wrapped my tacos beautifully so I could tuck them under my cycling jacket and transport them safely home where I devoured them.“
“Though this food cart's menu is heavy on meat, I always get a veggie burrito which is packed with cheese, beans, avocado as well as other veggies. The tasty burrito is huge and is more than I can eat in one sitting. Service is fast and friendly.“
“I just have to say this is one of the only places in general… food cart or restaurant where I eat every last drop on my plate. You guys are kind, never have an attitude or expect a thing more than cooking up good food. Found my new favorite place for tacos… you won’t regret eating here, don’t let the location fool you it’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Probably the best Mexican cart I have ever had in Portland. I absolutely love the breakfast burrito, as well as their tacos. The meat is extremely flavorful, and even the vegetarian options are awesome. Also, you can help yourself to their salsa bar which has quite a few options, all of which are delicious.“
“This is a small place in an old house with a very cozy, warm and inviting atmosphere. The Mexican food was prepared fresh and the service was speedy and the host and hostess acknowledged my presence right away with a smile. The quesadillas and tacos were a tad spicier than I'm accustomed to (and I'm a wimpy white guy when it comes to spicy food) but the spices made the tacos much more satisfying. Keep up the good work!“
“Doesn't look like much when you pass by but we stopped in for a quick appetizer while we waited for our table at Eventide. The queso and guacamole were both good sized portions and delicious. The tacos were fresh and full of flavor. They have additional seating upstairs. We weren't expecting much but the guacamole and queso exceeded our expectations.“
“We love this taco truck! This is a must try. This spot uses the best meats for their dishes. We haven't had a single item that has had fatty, grisly, or tough meat. That's a big plus for us when choosing taco spots. Everything from the tacos, burritos, nachos and sopes have been top notch. Some of their specials for the day sell out early so if you want to try something new on the menu get there for an early lunch before they sell out. The staff is very friendly. The food is made fresh and quickly. There's a couple of covered picnic tables in front if you'd like to sit and eat outside. Stop in and give this place a try. We will be back to try more items soon.“
“It's tucked behind Cascade Cigar Co. And after having their quesabirria tacos, keto quesabirria, regular taco, the single pizzabirria, and birria ramen, I can confirm this is the best place for any birria craving!! Will definitely be back and recommend to others!!“
“This is a very cute place with excellent, friendly service. Darcy the bartender is the best! Her cocktails are truly delicious and she definitely deserves a raise! I loved the hibiscus mezcal drink and the shaken pina colada was a delicious dessert. Tasty tacos and welcoming atmosphere. Try the veggie taco, it was actually more flavorful than the meat varieties. I'll be back!“
“I've had their supreme burrito with chicken twice and it's good! Kind of on the salty side and they don't always get the ingredients mixed well so you might get halfway through with no guac but it's tasty and HUGE! They also have a nice outdoor area so I'd be inclined to go back and dine in during warm months.“
“I've been meaning to go here for awhile because I always smell it on my 7-11 runs and it smells amazing. I got the birria burrito and it was so good I regret that I took so long to try it. I ended up eating my leftovers for lunch the next day and had to fight off my coworkers. The consomé was perfect just spooned on top of each bite (I know I'm supposed to dip it, I'm a birria newbie). The owner also recommended the melon agua fresca and it was a surprise hit - it was refreshing and the perfect amount of sweet. I can't wait to return and I look forward to being a regular.“
“The food is always delicious and filling. Very family friendly and the staff is incredibly kind and prompt. Samuel is our regular server and we absolutely love him and always look forward to seeing his smiling face. Ramon was a new face tonight and was also great.“
“Great Mexican cart! I've been going here for years and I'm so glad they're here! They make amazing carnitas, pollo, and Al Pastor. I have to be honest and say that I'm not a huge fan of their Carne Asada, but other than that, I love this place. Tacos, burritos, nachos, and quesadillas are all top notch. You won't be disappointed.“
“These quesa tacos were surprisingly small , I've ate at many birria spots and this has been the smallest . I originally got two because I usually get full with 2 but these are mini quesa birrias . So my suggestion is to double up on your usual order because this order was small . They are also 3$ each for these mini tacos .! Mine didn't even have lemon but my partners did so he gave me his . He was also surprised by how small they were . The agua frescas were delicious . Overall the food was good . The consomé lacked a bit of Flavor . But I added my red salsa to the consomé and lemon. Also you have to actually ask and pay for the consomé as it does not come included with your tacos . Which is odd. Would I come here again ? Definitely not . There are better places to eat . This place was just conveniently close.“
“This food cart is well established, very clean, and has a great seating area to keep you out of the rain and nice and warm from the heaters on site. The food is fantastic and we especially love the $1 tacos on Tuesdays. They don’t skimp on the meat or toppings, they’re fantastic tacos you’d pay $3 a piece for anywhere else. Highly recommend!“
“We went for lunch it was right next to our hotel. A very small place inside with only countertop seating and picnic tables outside. Good prices only 2.00 per taco, the tacos had so much meat in them! The birria was so tender and spicy they were delicious. The asada and carnitas were good too. I would definitely come back!“
“Definitely glad to have noticed this Taco Time - I've driven by a lot but never noticed it. It was pretty quiet when I stopped in, only taking a couple of minutes to have my order ready. No drive thru, in case that's a problem for you.“
“The best tacos in Portland thus far. It was so difficult to find good, delicious tacos until we found this taco truck. The spices are spot on, the salsa is super spicy but if you can handle it or love spicy you’ll love the salsas. The owner provides excellent customer service and made sure we were okay with our order. We will definitely return for these authentic tacos. Thank you, Échale Salsa! :) we are more than pleased with the service and the food.“
“This food truck is nestled at the corner of highway 99 and 99th Street. It is close to where I live, and on the way back from work. I was excited when it first opened. I was craving some good Mexican food since I lived in the southwest a few years, but options are limited in Vancouver. The first day it opened, it was bustling. Since then, the crowd has died down to some degree, but there is usually a steady stream of people there. I went with a couple friends and I think my dish was the best. I got the sample taco platter, and although I am bad at discerning each individual meat and flavor, all of them were excellent. They were all well seasoned, with garnishes. My other friends got the birria ramen, which I heard was decent in terms of flavors. The loaded fries were also decent. Another friend got one of the burritos, and she was okay with the meal. Definitely, the sampler platter is a good first go to. The ramen was an interesting novelty item, but honestly you may as well get the full taco experience instead. The tacos shells are also fried and/or had some toasted cheese on the outside, which added a good crunch and flavor nuance.“
“Stop reading and just go on in, the food is great and the people are awesome. The only possible downside could be waiting to get a seat because so many people like the food. My group all enjoyed their food and time. You have to find a street parking spot or during the day pay for parking in the parking lot on the other side of the road. We will be going back and I can't stop thinking about how good the churros are.“
“The tacos and burritos are delicious! The bean and cheese and Chilli Reyanos burritos are big and they hook the tacos up with a lot of meat, cilantro and onions. They don't charge for sauce and lime wedges...The only time I wasn't very satisfied was when I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito, ate half of it and stopped as the portion size of the ingredients kind of ruined it. Too greasy.I'm definitely going back there. Its the neighborhoods late night food spot. Great prices and friendly and reliable service.Parking: Gravel parking lot... No lines.“
“Super clean inside. Has the cool soda machine. The staff was very friendly. Had a very good time eating lunch with my grandma. Just stopped out of convenience and I am very glad we did so.Wheelchair accessibility: Has a nice wheelchair accessible table.“
“Tacos were authentic and tasty, my favorite was the carne asada. No frills food truck. We went right when they opened and service was quick and easy. My wife got the breakfast burrito and it's a lot of food!Nice picnic tables outside, we got some sun so that helped a lot!“
“I’m in a rut! When I visit HV Food carts, I make a beeline to Fuego All Day (FAD). It’s the Birria Tacos with a side of House Queso and chips. The birria tacos always hit! The queso (with or without the chorizo) makes the meal complete. I’ve been to HV Food carts when FAD was closed for a catering event. Don’t get me wrong - the food’s good, but it was not the Birria tacos from FAD! The only thing missing tonight was the roasted hot pepper! Thanks for the consistently good food!“
“Fantastic Mexican food. Ordered the 3 taco plate to go. (They do offer indoor seating) the tacos had a lot of meat, were very flavorful, tortillas were hot and fresh, rice and beans were delicious, and employees were all very nice and helpful. My only complaint would be the parking. When they are in the middle of a rush the parking lot can be a bit of a zoo, but I wouldn't let that stop me. I can't wait to go back and try their other dishes.“
“Vegetarian options: This is a favorite dinner spot for us. The staff are always friendly and upbeat which makes for a great atmosphere. They have incredible tacos and a great menu overall. You can't really go wrong with anything on it. My wife claims the mushroom fajitas are the best vegetarian dish in town.“
“I love coming here I live nearby and whenever I'm craving authentic Mexican food I come here. Many places nearby don't offer the variety that Kelly's tacos does... the Alpastor they make is delicious and my favorite meat choice. Definitely would recommend Kelly's tacos.“
