“My family recently held a wake in the event room at Cornerstone. The room was spacious, attractive, and comfortable. Loved the old tin ceiling. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The restaurant modified recipes and presentation to accommodate food restrictions. The icing on the (cup)cake was the waitstaff, who were attentive without being overbearing, efficient, and more than pleasant. Highly recommend.

Vegetarian options: Our buffet menu included vegetarian pasta, salad, green beans with shallots, roasted fingerling potatoes, and bread and butter. The restaurant menu provides several veggie options, including a veggie burger and veggie omelets.

Dietary restrictions: Accommodations were made for dairy, carrot, and nut allergies, as well as gluten restrictions. The whole family was able to eat delicious food safely.

Kid-friendliness: They made one young guest buttered noodles when the buffet options were not to his 5 year old taste.“

“Wow...what a restaurant. 3 of us were celebrating our 74th birthdays as we do annually and chose Eleven as our "special" dinner. Smart choice. Jeanne was our super server. Personable, knowledgeable, helpful. Took pictures for us. Everything you want in a good server. The food! We started with just a half dozen tiny sweet, slightly briny oysters with mignonette. We all decided on the swordfish with forbidden rice & rock shrimp risotto, smoked peppers, olives, lemon, fennel, watercress. One had the most interesting Caesar salad with the creamy dressing on the bottom and a vinaigrette over the top which you then stirred together. Best Caesar! The swordfish was moist, delicious and the risotto worked perfectly with it. Incredible combination. Two of us shared a trio of sorbets that tasted as fresh as the fruit in them. As a small token to recognize our birthdays, the restaurant served this sweet little dessert. The restaurant itself was a former ice house and has been a 2 story restaurant there for 20 years. Very nicely done with multiple rooms for small gatherings. The noise level was energetic but we were able to talk just fine. Overall an incredible experience and I highly recommend this place in you are in Pittsburgh.“

“Siempre Algo is one of our favorite restaurants of all time, not just in the city. The food is always impeccable, and the service is somehow even better. The entire staff is welcoming, attentive, and kind. The environment is very hip and the music is always great. Kimber is an incredible mixologist. Whether you're seated at the bar for a drink and quick bites or at a table for a full, multi-course meal you can expect to be wow-ed at Siempre Algo! I dream about the liver pâté and O.G-eez Itz cocktail on a regular basis!“

“I found this place by accident last year and I’m really glad I did! The food is excellent and service is great! Always a good experience here. I love everything about it! Salads are fresh, wings are awesome, also love the pork chop & grits. Ribs are fantastic as well. Portions are big so I’m always taking some home to enjoy all over again!“

“Hubby and I went on a whim after a Steelers game. Dining room was quiet, even though the separate bar was still animated after the Steelers win.
Spaghetti and Meatballs was on special, and it WAS special and a generous serving! Blockhouse Pumpkin Ale on tap served in a
cinnamon sugar rimmed glass. Yummy!
We took a tiramisu to go, it was so good and definitely enough for TWO.

Vegetarian options: Veggie dogs, Black bean burger and a plant-based burger. Reasonable # of pizza options and a roasted veg salad.“

“Crazy that it took me many years to enjoy this place as a music venue as opposed to another (albeit inviting) bar in Lawrenceville. I went to see Willi Carlisle on a Wednesday night ( I still can't believe this guy is performing for less than 30 bucks) and I really enjoyed the relaxed and overall inviting venue.

The space was open and didn't feel cramped while providing an almost modern rathskellar like aesthetic, the drink and food options were easy accessible, and the acoustics worked for the show. That's basically all you can ask for in a venue in Pittsburgh, and I hope to get back here for more shows in the future.“

“Where can I begin… the food was delicious! Friendly service and real conversation. My family and I are from Indiana visiting for the weekend and we wanted to try Grandma B’s. Went on Saturday morning and it was so impressive we said “We’re coming back tomorrow before we leave!” Only to return Sunday morning and they had standing room only! Sadly my party and I were just going to head back to Indiana, hungry when they called us back in and said”We’re going to make room for you all up top.” They proceeded to prepare another area upstairs to accommodate our party! Hands down best food in service in Pittsburgh!“

“We went to G’s for our anniversary and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Great quiet and cozy atmosphere, stellar service, and incredible food and drinks. Every dish was full of flavor and the textures were all beautifully done. Even the bread basket was amazing with maple butter. It felt like a 5 star dining experience for a reasonable person. “Ordered the peach bourbon and the butternut squash risotto with shrimp! My drink was speedily served and perfectly balanced with flavor. My risotto had on-point texture, with huge pieces of shrimp and delicious, thinly fried pieces of sweet potato on top for crunch! I devoured it all!

Vegetarian options: The risotto does not automatically come with meat! You can have it without, and there are several accommodations on the menu.

Dietary restrictions: First thing when ordering, the waitress asked if I had any allergies.“

“Went there for the first time on a Saturday for dinner. Nice place with lots of options. Our server who was doubling as cook was super nice and answered all our questions and special requests. I got the Cranberry Poppins salad. It was fresh, delicious and very large. The rest of my party had the fish sandwich, the chicken tenders and fries and the Alcove Burger. Everyone liked their food. We left just as the band was setting up. Would definitely go back again.“

We were not seated at the window and it did not matter (though window is better - it's all great). Our meal was amazing - I had the sea bass special and my wife had the pork chop. We also kept getting extras throughout the night - popcorn to start, an amuse-bouche mushroom "shooter", some amazing bread. All in all, this was everything we hoped for when we made the reservation. We were in town for only a few days and were spoiled by our meal here. Would absolutely go back again if we find ourselves in Pittsburgh in the future. I would recommend you use the valet service as parking anywhere nearby is a crapshoot.“

The staff was kind and courteous and did an amazing job down to every detail. The room decorations that Justin suggested looked beautiful for our "little pumpkins" theme and all of our guests commented on how warm and inviting they felt! Well seasoned, good amount of cheese, onion and lettuce is cut into a relish and mixed with sauce which makes the burger perfectly moist. I didn’t really feel truffle and the meat was almost well done even though I specified it wasn’t o be medium. Overall, a burger that’s much better than in most places so I’d definitely be back to try more things.“

“I had an amazing blackened salmon salad tonight with one of the best dressings I’ve ever had, hands down! The honey lemon vinaigrette is perfection, don’t pass it up when you go! I’m pumped to come back and try more of it all. Everything looked amazing on the menu, the food I saw come out looked great, the staff and atmosphere were all on point, music and the whole vibe was perfect.
