“This is exactly what you want from a small counter service shop. The pastries and menu items are unique to the area and very flavorful. Items marked spicy are truly spicy, so be careful if you're sensitive to spice. The dining area is cozy but not cramped. Food and drinks are ready fast, and the staff is friendly and attentive.“

“Loved dropping in here on a Saturday. Very relaxed vibes walking in here, perfect for a relaxed meet up, coffee or quick bite. My wife and I ordered the Ume Plum Tea, Vietnamese Latte, Khang’s Special Banh Mi, Crispy Tofu Banh Mi, and Doenjang Butter Fries. The Ume Plum Tea is so unique, and their Vietnamese Latte is the best I’ve had. Their food portions are big, and will definitely leave you full. Highly recommend this place!“

“What a lovely and delicious experience. Owners are so kind, the food is well priced for the portions and straight up yummy; wish ida talen pictures. Got the beef chilaquiles with an ube vietnamese iced coffee, and my boyfriend got the beef rice bulgogi with a salted foam iced coffee. Left feeling full and comforted, like any great food and atmosphere would. Excellent spot.“

“This place was awesome! Some of the best coffee I've had in the city, and they carry onyx branded beans which was super cool! Staff was really friendly, and chill too. The space was strangely... clinical feeling? But that's just a personal opinion thing 🤷‍♀ it was very clean and thats all that matters to me. However, it was very quiet, I felt like I shouldn't be talking with my husband even though I wanted to + did. Lots of people working on computers along the wall.“

While the cafes I’ve been to in that state are good, this place didn’t water it down, and I didn’t even ask for strong black coffee like I normally would in Illinois. Very polite people! I'm not the biggest fan of matcha, but yesterday we ordered one strawberry and one lavender matcha, and they were fantastic. Probably the best matcha I've had, ever. “The place was crowded on a Friday eve. They were out of ube ice cream. I got the matcha soft serve instead which was pretty good. They have generic flimsy plastic spoon utensils that you just grab - wish they have more hygienic ones that they give to you in your ice cream or those sealed single use wooden ice cream scoopers.

The place is nothing fancy and not for a quiet sit down but you can get your ice cream or drink here to go.“

However, last time I went in 2025, the young guy at the counter overcharged $5…this is not about the 5 bucks that he try to steal, it’s about even with loyal customers, he’s still trying to to screw over. “This is very overdue but after this past weekend, I had to take the time to write. This past weekend Dean and his crew catered another party for us. This was the 2nd time and we could not believe the food could be better than it was last October, but it was! The roasted pepper deviled eggs and the lamb meatballs were spectacular. We are a family of chefs and Dean cooks like we would for our own family and friends. Actually, maybe better! Thank you Dean for making our housewarming party so delicious!!!“

“I love Adelie Coffee House. The coffee is simply delicious! It's rich, smooth, aromatic, soothing - like a warm blanket fresh out of the dryer. I've only tried the cheese danish. It was very good. The baristas are great - all of them. The coffee house itself is bare bones, yet clean and cozy. You have the option to sit outside if you like. I'm so glad this little gem is right down the street from my house.💜“

We had been aware that it was opening for what felt like ages but there was a delay for whatever reason. When the soft opening came, we walked in with excitement but there was no food left and the coffee was mediocre. For some dumb reason, that experience prevented us from going back for a long time, until today. I got the sababa sandwich and some pastries and it's hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time, and there are a number of good coffee/breakfast spots in the area with good food.
