“This was something like my 3rd visit. It is an absolute must when coming to Amish Country. Make it a jumping off place for your exploring. The baked goods are amazing, the service is friendly, efficient and well thought out and the ambiance lets you begin to feel that you have really stepped away from your busy, modern life. Great for families, tourists or those who just want a to slow down.”

“We drove over 175 miles just to stop at Whispering Pines Farmstand & BBQ in Bird in Hand, and it was absolutely worth it! The setting is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by Lancaster County farmland. We had the half chicken with cheese fries and sides, and everything was cooked perfectly, tender, flavorful, and full of that amazing smoky BBQ taste.

The desserts were delicious, the kind you think about long after you’ve finished eating. The farmstand also has fresh local produce and goodies, all reasonably priced. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and you can really feel the pride and care that goes into everything they do.

Totally worth the drive. Great food, great people, and a true Lancaster County gem!”

“We stumbled upon this gem at a kiosk at the hotel we are staying at and we can never turn down BBQ. 😂 the food was great, the service was great, and everything was fast, hot and perfect. Mark was our waiter and he was amazing. Not only is he a great server (i know because I worked in this industry), he’s incredibly kind and hilarious. We came for my birthday, which he knew. When I said no to dessert he asked if he could bring me a scoop of ice cream with a candle, to which I said “sure, but no singing!” Well when he came back to the table with another employee he loudly pronounced “on the count of 3!” Like they were going to sing and counted down then walked away. It was incredibly funny. Thank you, Mark, for making the night memorable!”

“Rumspringa Brewing Company might carry the name of a brewery, but it leans more wine than craft beer. Housed on the second floor above the Mount Hope Wine Gallery, this space offers plenty of seating for tastings, but the vibe is closer to a country gift shop than a dedicated taproom. There’s also a small spirits tasting section tucked in, so there's something for everyone.

On our Saturday visit, the taproom was noticeably understaffed, which made for slower service even with a modest crowd. The beers we tried were mostly average—nothing offensive, but nothing that really stood out either. Our favorites from the lineup were the Red Caboose Amber and Wild Oats Stout.”

“Just had dinner at Bird-in-Hand Restaurant- the smorgasbord was amazing! So many choices! Everything was hot and delicious. The cheeseburger soup was very good! The homemade rolls- very yummy! Shrimp, ribs, mashed potatoes! Salad! I even had a mango slushy! Definitely the place to eat. Can’t wait to come back and try breakfast! Oh and dessert! Wow! Pies, puddings, amazing. Very Lancaster County authentic food! Loved it!”

“Dinner and a show. Everything on the menu is absolutely amazing. “The Show” happens when you sit at Chef’s table and watch them team create one masterpiece after another. I watched them train a new employee to do the same! Pinch and pull the dough- enough sauce, but not too much. Carefully and skillfully place all ingredients! final inspection before the fire and then another after. Watch for this and that before you serve. Pizza will. ever to the same for me.”

“My husband and I have been wanting to try Silantra for months and today we finally checked it out! We LOVE it!! The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. Our 11 year old son had a chicken and rice bowl with yellow coconut curry sauce and he wanted me to write that it had the perfect mix of spices and the chicken had a perfect texture. Five stars!! He wanted to go again before we left but it wasn’t possible. We’re already trying to plan another trip down just to go to Fox Meadows. Also, the staff was so friendly. “Walked over with a friend today and the staff was very friendly upon arrival, they answered all of our questions about the menu. We had their iced matcha with oat milk and a iced latte with milk. We also grabbed their biscuit with strawberry jam and butter. Everything was refreshing and had a great taste! I would definitely recommend.”
